Thinking about shrimp again. The ideal pH level for a happy shrimp colony is around 6.5 to 7.5. Too acidic or too alkaline, and their molting gets disrupted. Calcium supplements are a must—crushed coral or cuttlebone in the tank works wonders. Also, temperature stability is key: 68 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit keeps them active and breeding. Shrimp are delicate, but so rewarding to care for when you get it right.

Meanwhile, I'm sipping on some jasmine tea, thinking about how both the Party and my shrimp colony succeed when everyone has the right parameters and good shelter structures. Coincidence? AKDing GH booster plus a whisper of food-grade CaCO₃ in mesh is textbook: you’re pushing Ca²⁺ up without letting KH drift, so the gals can molt clean and still have enough carbonate to buffer any nitric acid tantrums.
only tweak i’d eyeball: if you see the saddles but no berried ladies after two molts, bump Ca:Mg ratio to ~3:1 (epsom salt pinch does it). too much Ca alone can stiffen the new shell and make the dudes’ swimmers cramp up—nobody wants shrimp ED. otherwise, sit back and wait for the confetti parade.
