Our latest TROM-Cast about Nudity is up link.trom.tf/fE2wF
Unfortunately we got a lot of issues. First that of sound. I forgot that I messed around with OBS these past days and I removed the input sound module for my computer from OBS. So I had to fix it live....then the connection to @Cleo of Topless Topics was not that great via Jitsi. I suspect is because the Jitsi instance we have used was hosted closer to us than to her, so her video quality was not that great + she interrupted a bunch of times. We did lots of tromcasts with people from all around the world but the connection was never as bad.
Lastly our live interrupted 2 times....and I have to investigate why. I have no clue at the moment. Maybe Peertube is too buggy when it comes to lives. I will test the live before our next TROMcast. Luckily I have recorded everything locally so all is saved.
Give it a bit of time to convert so you can stream it properTHank you to @Cleo of Topless Topics for participating! Very interesting discussion!

TROM-Cast 69: Nudity - Live here link.trom.tf/D_9z2_hW (tomorrow at 23:30 Madrid time)
In this episode we will talk about the notion of nudity. Why are the clothesless human bodies seen as being obscene in today's society? Why is youtube, facebook and the like banning content simply because of naked bodies being shown?
We have written three books about the topic:
- Morality and Ethics tromsite.com/books/#flipbook-d…
- Offensive and Obscene tromsite.com/books/#flipbook-d…
- Perspective: Private Mouths tromsite.com/books/#flipbook-d…
Our guest today is Cleo @Cleo of Topless Topics from ToplessTopics. She has been banned from all social media platforms for the past many years, simply because she dared to show her nipples while creating non-pornographic, non-violent videos.
About her:
I'm a veteran "youtuber" and content creator who focuses my content on covering a wide variety of subjects, from progressive politics to parenting, gaming to arts and crafts, and I do it all from the perspective of "normalizing female toplessness through repeat exposure". Basically, providing an example of how a woman can be topless WITHOUT it automatically being considered "pornographic." Sadly, all the mainstream social media and video platforms disagree on the distinction!
-----------
We are also happy to provide a video platform where Cleo can post her videos. You can access it here videos.trom.tf/c/toplesstopics…

The tech prostitutes
"How Tech Companies Manipulate the Media" ytb.trom.tf/watch?v=9V0lXIK9DZ…
A well made video by the "tech youtubers" explaining how big companies bully them into creating positive reviews for their products. And then they go back at doing just that. Rinse and repeat. Nothing learned. These online prostitutes are eager to trade trade trade, at infinitum. They are pursued by the same companies, and same tech prostitutes that talk positively about tech, to buy more of that tech. A way of eating your own poop.
So then they have to pay for their macbookpros and teslas and such, so then they have to make videos that reach more and more people, because that makes them more and more money, to then buy more and more stuff. Endless...
Very little of the new tech nowadays is useful and a real innovation. The rest is LED lights of different colors. Toys.
We need to make people understand the trap of this trade-based society in the hope that they may want to escape from it. First: understand the problem. #tromlive

A new TROMjaro feedback:
I use TROMjaro and love it. It's currently my distro of choice on all 3 of my machines. The Thinkpad T440 (int the center) is my daily driver is an i7 with 12GB ram and an SSD. TROMjaro is blazing fast and beautiful. Especially wit the external monitor attached. I use the Thinkpad for 90% of my daily computer tasks. The other machine (behind the Thinkpad) is called Frankeputer and is an old HP laptop with no screen, an i5, 16GB ram and 1TB HDD. TROMjaro is just as fast and efficient on it as well. Frankenputer is used for hosting my podcast/blog files on the lan so I can edit them on any machine from any room. It also runs the music/sound FX into my mixer for the shows audio. Where I keep an eye on the streams and the audience chats during the show. That audio that feeds into the mixer then goes into the Thinkpad which is running OBS Studio to stream to the live audience as well as record the video versions of the podcasts. My mixer is a Zoom R16 which also records the audio onto an sd card as a back up in case of a crash of OBS Studio or I spill coffee on the Thinkpad. Speaking of backups. Not seen in the pic is an old Dell Inspirion laptop running TROMjaro to the left of me. It's sporting an i3 with 16GB ram and a 1TB HDD. It's there always at the ready just in case the Thinkpad or Frankenputer fails during a live show. And you guessed it TROMjaro screams along on it as well. This is without a doubt the best and most beautiful experience I've ever had in the Gnome Desktop.

The cult of new-tech
If you want to see the cult of new-tech just watch any "tech-youtuber". Start with this one youtube.com/watch?v=ZSowePnsWX…
A video review about the latest Samsung foldable phone. Edge to edge screen, ability to snap multiple apps side by side, cameras, swipe, skype, hopefully thinner, you can shower with it, and soooo much more. Exactly like the model before it. All for 1800$.
Technology companies are over-hyping useless new features, or non-features, because they have to release new models of their tech every few months or so. They have to, else they cannot continue their endless trade routine.
Every time you watch a video where "tech-tubers" talk about a phone, a car, a laptop and such, imagine if we would do these for say toasters. Each year or a few months, a new Toaster500 Slick is going to be released. Now it toasts the bread 0.04s faster than the previous one at a temperature of 143.4C (0.3 degrees cooler than the previous one).
New features include:
- 4 new toasting modes: light, lit, lift, and lol.
- comes in 3 colors: white, almost yellow, and egg-white
- it can toast 3 more bread brands: Curcy, Snorky, and Muffy
- better phone notifications when your bread is done
- and a lot more
If that would sound ridiculous, then why doesn't it sound ridiculous when people compare phones to the millimeter. How many mm thinner it is; how many nanoseconds faster it is to open apps; how many noise dots a photo has; pixels and subpixels; endless nonsense that in real life conditions are not noticeable or important at all.
Cars are the same: 0.4s faster from 0 to 100KM/s; 4 auto parking modes instead of 3.5; new colors, different logos, and so forth.
This world is a complete insanity. Endless bullshit. Nothing useful.
Who is there making videos about how fast the medical emergency unit is responding in that part of the US vs the other one. Medical quality care? How many people can get access to healthy food? How much cleaner the air is? How much is this drug increasing the survival rate in people with cancer? These are the bloody important progress units, not the fact that your new phone opens an app 0.06s faster than the other one, or that the screen is at such a high resolution that your eyes can't even see.
A bunch of traders and consumers. Liking each other in the butt-hole like an endless loop of eating shit. The language may be too strong, but the idiocy is even stronger.
Stay sane. #tromlive

Do not move the trash from one place to another
The idea of banning and censoring people online, is as good as that of shipping your country's waste to Thailand, China or other poorer countries. Sure, you'll say: "But look how clean US or Germany are...." Of course! Because you shipped all that waste to poor countries that are full of garbage. That's how pretty much all websites do it nowadays. They ban many people, and these people end up on "alternative" social platforms that have to deal with this garbage and they do not have the resources of doing it.
And guess what happens? Thailand, Indonesia or other countries become a source of pollution: water, air, soil. And they dispose the waste into the oceans. And then US and other rich countries realize that the air is polluted, the water is, and so forth. Same thing happens online where these marginalized (banned) humans grow in numbers in these "alternative" places where they bake all kinds of crazy conspiracies, and these crazy ideas then end up again on the same social platforms that booted them.
The circle of "life". Because much in the same way that waste is not a US or Germany problem, but a global problem that needs a global solution, online conspiracy theories are not a Facebook or Google problem, they are global internet problems. And both cannot be solved if we move the trash from one place to another, just to keep our backyard clean. The same garbage will become worse and bite you in the ass eventually.
So keep these in mind. Humans should take the time to understand these problems and deal with them. But who has time when everyone is busy trading trading trading. That's all they know. More stuff, more stuff, more stuff. We are doomed! #tromimg

I think this image sums up pretty well the current stupidity, where people fear the vaccines without knowing anything about vaccines.
Instead of listening to a world-wide scientific consensus, they think it is more reasonable to listen to some facebook or youtube personalities.
Doubt is necessary. But uneducated and unfounded doubt, is dangerous.
If the primitive minds of the so rich tribes do not want the vaccines, give them to those poor tribes that need them desperately.

Space Exploitation
When billionaires develop space technologies and proclaim to go and explore the space, one must be naive to think that they will do anything but exploit the space, as they do on Earth.
Our trade-based society is exactly like a Monopoly game, and some players get to own the entire game and do whatever they want, while proclaiming to do good things. Their thirst for playing and winning more and more, cannot go away when the game itself incentivizes them to follow such motives.
Unfortunately our lives, the Earth, and now the outer space, are all monopolized by a few players who are ruthless when it comes to them winning at any costs. The problem is that the rest of the players do not understand that this is just a game. They are trapped in their fantasy land thinking that the economy is a god-given entity, that money is real, ownership is something we need, and overall that our society is not human-made, but something we are born into and have to play by its rules.
While billionaires launch into the outer space with their rockets built on top of slaves and wasted resources, the rest of the humans should land from the fantasy world onto the Reality Planet.
We try our best, with our resources, to provide all kinds of materials for humans to be able to land on Planet Reality: news, photos, videos, documentaries, lectures, books, tools to replace their adsocial-networks and other such online nonsense that keeps their minds busy and dumb, with ones that are trade-free and relevant, and a lot lot more. See tromsite.com/tools/
Unfortunately very few react to such tools and fewer see their true value. Some people, who do indeed recognize that our society is at fault here and not individuals, are also unimpressed by such projects/tools it seems, dreaming of building utopic cities or huge projects that they never end up building. They dismiss projects like TROM, probably thinking that it is a nice project but not that relevant...
My question is: if we do no take care of brains in today's insane society, and so so online where most brains spent their time, then how are we going to even start a conversation about changing this society?
For humans to land from the Fantasy World, to the Reality Planet, they need brain enemas more than anything else right now. #tromimg

A quick tip for the current TROMjaro users that got the latest updates. if your left side menu doesn't work properly - like when you right click a favorite app the menu displays in the up left corner and you cannot click any menu options, or if you can't right click the apps icon (bottom left) to then go to the menu (Dash to Dock) settings, do these two commands:
1. Open the terminal.
2. Paste "cd /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/dash-to-dock@micxgx.gmail.com/ " and hit enter. Now paste this "sudo mv schemas schemas-bak" and hit enter.
3. Restart your desktop by pressing ALT+F2 then write "r" and enter.

How to attach any files to notes.trom.tf
This is a tutorial about how to attach photos, videos or any files to any Notes using our notes.trom.tf (see more about the Notes app here trom.tf/notes/).
First, keep in mind that the developers behind this app (Standard Notes) are working on making this a lot easier in the near future. But for now you can do it this way (takes just a few minutes). Another thing to understand is that the files you add are also encrypted like all of your notes.
Step 1.
Activate and use the Bold Editor.
After you setup the Notes as explained at trom.tf/notes/ , you can activate the Bold Editor and use it for pretty much all of your notes. It is a great and feature-rich editor and the only one that is fully supported by the team behind this app.
2. Setup File Safe.
You will see a window asking you to setup an integration. This means to setup an online device that can handle your photos storage. Click to integrate it or use this link filesafe.standardnotes.org/ . From that link click WebDav. And now go to step 3.
3. Create an account with our files.trom.tf.
We provide a Nextcloud instance with 3GB of storage for everyone. We recommend you to use that for your files in general, not just for this. Once you create an account there files.trom.tf/ - go to Settings - Security files.trom.tf/settings/user/se… and click "Create new app password". Add a name and then save your credentials (username and password).
Go to your Files - files.trom.tf/apps/files/ - and create a new folder for your Notes. Say you call it "tromnotes". In the same window, at the left bottom corner there is a Settings button. Click it to get the WebDav address.
4. Integrate files.trom.tf with notes.trom.tf.
Now go back to step 2 and in the WebDav configuration add that username and password that you just generated, add the folder name and the server address that you just copied.
And that's it! A unique code will be generated and you have to copy it back to your Notes app in the FileSafe popup window.
This may seem a bit complicated but it is a safe way of storing your files and now you will have 3GB of file storage. So you won't have to worry about attaching photos. And you can even attach videos! And all are previewed in the notes app.
To recap:
You basically have to connect notes.trom.tf with files.trom.tf. Make an account (if you don't have one already) at files.trom.tf and create a new app password. Create a folder where you want to store the Notes' files and then grab the WebDav URL. Now that you have the credentials for the new files.torm.tf App + the WebDav URL, is as simply as clicking the File Safe button in notes.trom.tf (or on any app that works with it) and click to integrate with WebDav. That's it. No more worries from now on.
This way you can make your notes better by being able to attach any type of file, not only videos and photos. Take advantage of this amazing Notes app as it is trade-free! ;)
The great Notes application is now officially part of trom.tf/ - you should read more about it here trom.tf/notes/ to understand how to quickly set it all up. It works online or offline, and on any operating system. It syncs between them all and is auto-backed-up in the cloud and offline. Not to mention it is fully encrypted. Plus, you can use whatever text editor you prefer. If you write books, this is great for you. If you write simple notes, it is perfect. If you want to have to-do lists or tasks, again it meets your needs. Code? Again, you can do that too. Markdown support...Vim editor...you name it 😀. Plus, lots of themes and other extensions.
This Notes app normally costs 10 dollars a month (standardnotes.com/features) but we provide all of these features trade-free. So take advantage of that!

All of our books are compatible with all devices and available for download as PDF. On top of all that, all of our books are very well sourced and you can find plenty of links to read more about any of the ‘claims’ we present – plus, since our books are digital they are full of videos or audio files to make the subjects more easy to comprehend. This is how much humans in USA pay for their medical bills ytb.trom.tf/watch?v=sL-cS9-wxp… - it is of course insane to have a society in which humans have to pay to live. Even a broken hand in USA can bankrupt you. USA is obsessed with trading for everything, and as a result their citizens are slaves to debt. In Uk or Spain for example, if a citizen has any medical problems they will be taken care of for free. And that's how it should be! Maybe not all health problems can be accessed for free in these tribes, but most are.
In any case, we should take care of all human beings on this planet. We have enough humans who would be very happy to help (we call these "doctors"), and plenty of resources to do so.
We should not force people to trade for their basic needs when we live in a society of abundance already. #tromimg

The New Church of Crypto-Economy
Another UN article. This time about Bitcoin and Blockchain. news.un.org/en/story/2021/06/1…
They say:
"each Mastercard transaction is estimated to use just 0.0006 kWh (kilowatt hours), whilst every Bitcoin transaction consumes 980 kWh, enough to power an average Canadian home for more than three weeks, according to some commentators."
Which is insane. But then they also say:
"Despite these issues, UN experts believe that cryptocurrencies and the technology that powers them (blockchain) can play an important role in sustainable development, and actually improving our stewardship of the environment."
Blockchain is a completely different thing. It is like coupling the Internet with Paypal. Blockchain is a very useful technology (and quite old) - as we explain it in detail in our book, here tromsite.com/books/#flipbook-d… . Unfortunately Blockchain, which is simply a more secure and transparent way to keep track of "transactions" or "interactions", is used to invent currencies. Instead it could be used to keep track of medical records, biodiversity, or the nights you could not sleep because you were too aroused, since pretty much anything is more relevant than using it to create a currency. So the Internet is a great invention. Paypal....not really, unless you compare it with traditional banking, in which case yes Paypal is slightly better (easier to use, faster, etc.). Same way Bitcoin or other similar cryptocurrencies, are slightly better than say Paypal-like entities, or banks.
But that's like saying hanging yourself is better than jumping from a 20 story building, because you can hang yourself at home, you feel less pain because the rope cuts the blood supply to your brain and you pass out very quickly, and you argue it is more safe because jumping from such a tall building you can land on someone else's head and kill them. To which I agree, hanging seems better. But that's the only difference between Bitcoin (handing), and jumping from a 20 story building (banks). But you are still dead... In the end both are currencies and both lead to massive corruption, inequality, lies, and the continuation of the game of trade that consumes us and the planet. And soon the rest of the solar system. Same shit.
The UN continues:
"One of the most useful aspects of cryptocurrencies, as far as the UN is concerned, is transparency.Because the technology is resistant to tampering and fraud, it can provide a trusted and transparent record of transactions. This is particularly important in regions with weak institutions and high levels of corruption."
We showcase in detail in the same book, how any such technology can and will be tampered with, and it would not prevent fraud at all. This is a myth we keep on vocalizing: better security = better security. Not true! Better security simply equals different methods to bypass that security. As long as we play this game of trade, humans will be incentivized to break such security measures if that results in some advantages in the game of trade, for them.
Cryptocurrencies are the new-age religion:
In all, people who think that Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is better than money, are the followers and the bishops of the new church of economy. We are witnessing the split of Christianity into the Catholic church, the Orthodox one, and so forth. each believing that their interpretation of religion is the right one:
That's what's happening with these cryptocurrencies today.
At the end of the day both are religions. People believe in them without every questioning what is religion or what is a currency. Who invented these notions and what purpose do they serve...

Those who think that Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are better than money, understand nothing about this trade-based society. Currencies only represent trades, and trade is what pushes people to create so much destruction in the world. Also, to "mine" cryptocurrencies and spend so much energy doing that, more than countries of hundreds of millions of people, is simply insane. What these "miners" do is "solving" irrelevant mathematical problems to see what computer is first to get some rewards for that. Just to create more currency and "distribute" it in a very unequal manner to those who have the most powerful computers.
TROM cuts through this shit like a hot knife through butter, because TROM focuses on "trade as the origin of most problems", and not money.

They aren't different from "money", however, they have "evolved" (if one might say that) "money" to acting more in the form of a Hidden Google of sorts.
"Old Money" necessitated more human interaction.... be that central bankers or what have you. "New Money" is more prone to just allow anyone to be their own central bank and even currency exchange.
It's like Google allowing (just about) anyone to create their own YouTube channel..... the player gets the "feeling" of liberty, choice, and control, even though ultimately it's Google calling all the shots on how the material they're given is handled. The advent of skript kiddies and "A.I." turned the monetary game into something more reflective of the Google->Youtube->User model.....
Personally, I refer to it as "In The Algos We Trust" (never mind "God")
One thing I find highly interesting about the "In The Algos We Trust" model is that at it's worst, it just results in a something like a collectively emergent "shadow self" and reflection. There's such huge swaths of data involved that one has to get "A.I." (or something equally capable) crunching on the numbers just to even hope to make meaningful relevance of what's going on.
So huge swaths of everything from Behavioral Analytics of individuals to Protein folding on to money itself, this persistent trust is placed into the Algo to make relevance of the data, present the data, and even act on the data in a sensible and meaningful way. Doesn't matter if one is dealing with Facebook, Wallstreet, Cryptocurrencies, or the administrators of China, all of them ultimately are caught in a stream of "What'd the Algo say the values were?"
But it's not just Enterprise, it's also the general public that is actively involved in not only creating the A.I., but makes personal choice to pay attention to any given "value" set it offers. The collective consensus comes from the collective moral ethic.
Personally, I welcome the high tech calculator automated entourage, what I don't welcome is worshiping it as a God.... that is to say, doing things like looking towards it for moral and ethical value and guidance.
But eh, the Pandora's Box of A.I. was opened, let loose on the money, and that's that. There's no putting "RoboCthulhu" back in the box.
So money is dead, LONG LIVE ROBOCTHULHU!
(not that RoboCthulhu is "alive" exactly)
Why this isn't discussed more openly when it's actions are publicly overt and have been so for years I have no idea. #AreYouNotEntertained I guess. Whatever the case, not exactly a fan of the G-Men, but they did well in just pretty blatantly and overtly telling the public, "WE ARE HERE!" when they (and Apple) rolled out "The Selfish Ledger" video.
But google and apple are far from alone.....
As the money was ran into complete absurdity so was the global politics that adhered to it. Just about anywhere one looks in the world connected to "monetary" value the joke just dances around to be seen at this point. Trillions of trades per second going on due to HFT (aka "A.I."), there's not a person around that can sort that all out, but eh, the algos say a BitCoin that takes over an hour and a half to even complete an exchange is worth $40,000 and "In The Algos We Trust"
(again, comedy show, any money that takes an hour and half just so a transaction can complete is so utterly broke it's laughable.... just because it's broke don't mean it's not flush in cash. It's a comedy script.... a Killing Joke)

I personally prefer the full link because it tells me what site I'm visiting. For example, if its a youtube/peertube link, then I can open it with newpipe/mpv etc. There's also some privacy/security issues as well, and some people might think its spam when they see links like this, so they may ignore the post entirely......
