And why is long-termism better - when nobody really knows what will happen in the future, and in the long term we will all be dead?
And, if psychopathy is bad because it cares nothing for the group - then why is the group supposed to be more important than the individual? (And which group is the most important, and why - of all the many groups of which we are members?)
My point is that the concept of psychopathy cannot replace the need for an understanding of evil; and when it is used for that purpose, then the concept has serious problems - and is itself being used in the mainstream discourse to advance the totalitarian/ globalist agenda.

A 2011 study of Australian white-collar managers found that 5.76 percent could be classed as psychopathic and another 10.42 percent dysfunctional with psychopathic characteristics.

tried again today, and my card got declined. big banner on their website to call my credit union.
called the credit union, and they said there is unusual fraud activity for that vendor. They issued a temporary pass so I tried it again.
Got rejected again. I called and they manually tried to run it - nope. So I had to cancel my order.

As I read up on Deno’s plan for a package registry I realise that whereas “node but better and more webby” is 👍🏻, “npm but better and more webby” isn’t necessarily a good idea.
I guess I don’t want a registry, I want something more like debian’s package archive for web modules with maintainers and managers whose priority is making sure that the package is safe and usable and aren’t necessarily involved in the making of the code that’s being packaged.

La presse a parfois du retard, les militants aussi. Au pays de la bonhomie et des compromis de dernière minute, il n’était pas bien de penser à mal. La férocité n’était pas au programme. Allende, qui se laissait tutoyer, sans rancune, me montrait souvent, en souriant, sur son bureau une photo dédicacée du Che : « à Salvador Allende, qui va au même endroit par d’autres chemins ». On peut penser légitimement qu’un autre chemin mène à un autre endroit, mais cela semblait une aimable et très irréaliste métaphore.

Une leçon à garder dans un coin de sa tête, même quand, c’est mon cas, la tête s’est désintéressée du jeu politique. Pourvu que le cœur se souvienne que ce n’est pas toujours ni partout un petit jeu anodin. Compañero Allende, ne disparais pas. On te doit tellement dans l’Europe oublieuse comme ailleurs, un peu partout. S’en souvenir, cinquante ans après, n’est jamais de trop.
