Abstract
In late 2017, Malaysia reported repeated outbreaks of low-pathogenic avian influenza virus (LPAI) H9N2 infections in commercial poultry flocks. Two H9N2 viruses, A/chicken/Malaysia/Negeri Sembilan/UPM994/2018 and A/chicken/Malaysia/Johore/UPM2033/2019, which were isolated from breeder and layer flocks in Peninsular Malaysia, were characterised in this study. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that both viruses were multiple-genotype reassortant strains with genes originating from Y280-like (HA gene), F/98-like (NS, NP and PA), G1-like (M and PB2), and Korean-like (PB1) lineages, indicating that they belong to a novel genotype that is divergent from the G57 lineage of Chinese origin. Both isolates were predicted to have a dibasic cleavage site (333-PSRSSRGLF-341) in the HA gene cleavage locations. Thus, the novel Malaysian H9N2 strain is a Y280-like virus resembling H9N2 isolates from Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, and Cambodia. This virus is of the G57 lineage but has a novel genotype of the PB1 gene originating from a Korean-lineage H9N2 virus, which has not been detected before in the region.

Ma fille a gagné une X-Pen 2nde génération et elle est inquiète pour la résistance de l’écran : en gros, elle est habituée à bosser avec des films de protection sur la Cintiq et là, on dirait que les écrans laminés de la gen2 sont prévus pour être utilisés directement.
Ça résiste bien à l’usure ou ce n’est pas une bonne idée ?

Alors j'ai testé en mode bourrin ( voir la séquence de quelques secondes ici: peertube.touhoppai.moe/w/vdjYv… ) et les revêtements laminés de XPpen 'gen 2' sont les plus résistants que j'ai jamais vue. Elle peut dessiner avec bague, bracelet, et les chats peuvent faire de la patinoire sans risque dessus avec leurs griffes.
C'est vrai que ça change, j'en ai rayé des Cintiqs (non intentionnellement, parfois, juste avec le stylet et des poussières dans l'air 😅 )

Elle vient de passer 2 heures à chouiner à cause du film d’origine qu’elle ne veut pas enlever et qui gâche un peu (beaucoup) les sensations et qui a le don de me taper sur le système.
Elle est effectivement trauma de la Cintiq, qui est super, mais qui a raye en éternuant dessus.
Venant de toi, ça va être plus crédible que venant de moi.
(du coup, je louche un peu dessus, surtout que j’ai vu chez toi que c’est OK pour Linux).
J’ai vu qu’ils ont conscience du problème, vu qu’ils vendent un film « sensation papier » pour les gen2… 😉
@kyoku57 Intéressant. Merci, je ne connaissait pas. Après, tous les films à grain que j'ai testé par le passé viennent souvent avec un léger sacrifice: un peu de contraste perdu pour les couleurs ou un peu moins de netteté des détails de l'écran. C'est souvent décevant.
En tout cas bravo à elle pour avoir gagné ce matos; et si la friction fait partie intégrale de son style, ça doit valoir le coup d'essayer de bricoler les mines, voir même d'installer ce nouvel overlay. Bon courage!

So a crazy thing happened. In a crime thriller film called Les chambres rouges (Red Rooms, 2023) there is a scene where the hacker protagonist is attempting to purchase a snuff film in online auction. The auction happens via IRC or IRC-like chatting environment and to my surprise there's actually me @rolle and my wife @mustikkasoppa who are one of the bidders.
1) The nickname of my wife is mistakenly written as "mustikasoppa" (with one k) but if I recall correctly she has used a mistakenly written nickname in the past
2) We are both operators and on the same IRC channel as we've been for the past 17 years
This is not a coincidence. One nickname can be made up by accident but not two with these features and definitely not in a French movie. My wife's nick "mustikkasoppa" is Finnish and means "blueberry soup".
Our IRC logs are more or less public because of open source and statistics so I presume the scene has been made with chatgpt which has scraped our nicks from the Internet so that they ended up in the movie. We still chat via IRC every day together.
The era of AI... Do your background check, folks. I'm glad this wasn't a dramatized documentary film but a complete fiction. However me and my wife are real. Mixed feelings.

Much has been said of how the #UnitedHealthcare dude was apparently a wonderful father/husband/family man/etc. I'm sure his family would have thought so, and I understand that they will be feeling their loss, but I find it impossible to reconcile "being a good father" with "being personally responsible for other peoples' kids experiencing unnecessary pain, disability or death and fine with that".
If you claim to be a good parent but are content to let other peoples' kids experience trauma you'd never allow your own kids to go through then you're not a good parent, you're a shitty human being.
