Noch im Gesetzgebungsprozess ist darüber ein Gesetzesvorhaben, ebenfalls im Stil von Putin und Orban was NGOs bzw zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen die aus dem Ausland ohne staatliche Erlaubnis finanziert wird mit einer 80% Steuer belegen soll.

Betroffen wäre dann jede Organisation die aus dem Ausland Finanzmittel erhält. Etwa auch Organisationen die von EU oder Bundesregierung Geld erhalten. Ein finanzieller Todesstoß für alle NGO, die in irgendwie regierungskritisch sind.

Due to the new tariffs that came into effect on April 5th, we’re temporarily pausing US sales of a few of our base Framework Laptop 13 systems (Ultra 5 125H and Ryzen 5 7640U).

For now, these models will be removed from our US site.

That might work for a short period of time if you have deep enough pockets, but it is a bad idea in general. And I don't think @frameworkcomputer as a small company has the resources to do this, even if they wanted to.

Cooper Jo Frederick, 24, of Fort Collins, Colorado, was arrested in connection with an incident at a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado.
Frederick allegedly ignited & threw an incendiary device at a Tesla dealership. The device landed between two vehicles, starting a fire that endangered several people who were inside cleaning the facility at the time.
He was charged with multiple felony charges, including:
- Use of an Explosive or Incendiary Device During a Felony (Class 2 Felony)
- Possession of Explosives or an Incendiary Device (Class 5 Felony)
- Second-Degree Arson (Business Damage $5,000 – $20,000, Class 5 Felony)
- Criminal Mischief (Business Damage $5,000 – $19,999, Class 5 Felony)
- Criminal Attempt to Commit a Class 5 or 6 Felony (Class 6 Felony)
Judge wanted $250K bail. DA insisted on $20K CASH bail.
Frederick doesn't have the dough.

Even the Tariff are discours, they are there to be negociate by the opposite site. Not realy starting a commercial war as we are saying in EU, He doesn't want wars because he doesn't want to pay for it.

En mars dernier, lors d'une réunion de la sous-commission des relations étrangères de la Chambre des représentants des Etats-Unis, le représentant du Texas (pro-trump) Keith Self s'est fendu d'une citation qui a laissé pantois de nombreux auditeurs : "It is the absolute right of the state to supervise the formation of public opinion." (C'est le droit absolu de l'État de superviser la formation de l'opinion publique.) Cette phrase est doublement choquante, déjà parce qu'elle justifie l'action de Trump (contrôle du vocabulaire, interdiction de livres... ) qui veut invisibiliser certains sujets (féminisme, genre, climat...) au cœur du débat public, et donc dans l'opinion, dans une démarche très orwellienne. Mais cette phrase est encore plus choquante quand on connaît son auteur : Joseph Goebbels, le ministre de la propagande du IIIème Reich. Pour Keith Self, conservateur républicain, Goebbels est un personnage comme un autre, que l'on peut citer au même titre que tout autre personnage politique ou tout autre penseur du vingtième siècle. Cette citation est une preuve supplémentaire que la pensée conservatrice de Trump et d'une partie de ses troupes s'abreuve à la source croupie d'un passé que l'on voudrait révolu.

Didier Guy, une amie, à qui je relatais cet évènement m'a posé cette question : "keith Self savait-il qu'il citait Goebbels ?" Franchement, je n'ai pas la réponse. Mais déjà, détachée de son auteur, cette phrase est grave en elle-même. Et le fait qu'une citation de Goebbels circule sur les réseaux conservateurs (même sans citer l'auteur) me semble également problématique.
