I'm not dismissing it as a nothingburger, but a "Senior DeMolay" is nearly akin to saying "Eagle Scout." The oldest you're allowed to be in DeMolay is 18-21 (depending on the state) and then you're out.

Why is Redis just the absolute best glue between processes? Surely Linux/Unix has something just as good? But in my experience, there's literally nothing better for communicating between processes.
Don't get me wrong, I love Redis, but I just wonder why the best solution ended up being a memory based database and not something in the operating system itself.
Good question. I think it has to be convenience, flexibility, and having it separate from the system that is the draw.
There are other mechanisms, but they come with different persistence (maintenance) concerns and aren't as portable.
