Colonization is rarely possible without some form of compliance, and the French themselves cooperated with Nazis. It's always the case that there's always someone willing to sell out their neighbors for an extra crust of bread. It's also always the case that a region's ethnic groups has pre-existing conflicts.

A group of #EU officials has written to the leaders of the European institutions criticising the bloc for “little or no meaningful action” in response to the dire humanitarian crisis in #Gaza.
EU “inaction” has “contributed to the environment of unaccountability that resulted in the full-scale invasion of the Gaza Strip taking place at this moment”, continues the letter sent to the presidents of the European Commission, European Council and the #European parliament.
The letter was sent less than a week after the EU foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas announced a review of the EU’s trade agreement with Israel, at the behest of a large majority of member states. The EU staff group welcomed this move, but said it was “devastatingly late for thousands killed in Gaza”.

Since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood, the main concern of Western governments has been to prevent the defeat of the #Zionist entity both militarily and politically. After the politicization of the courts, made obvious by several years of potato judicial results, pleading the fifth is just something you do; because the star chamber will find something, if it deigns to do so, and you can't sue for cruel and unusual until after you suffer it.
I don't think most people see that has happened and accordingly can't process the consequences.

I wanted my retro site to show as verified on my profile, so I added a Mastodon button to it. While I was there I made an Infinite Mac button and added it as well. Not super happy with that one, but it will do for now.
