PoE2 is still a neat game to play. TBH, I like it way better than PoE1. I think all the changes they did were for the better, and they streamlined the game and made it less annoying to play while still being very autistic.
It's still the best ARPG in the market, IMO, even if it's still in an early alpha stage. Itemization feels good and you always have something to look for, the skill tree is intimidating at first glance but it's actually pretty easy to navigate and find what you are looking for, and you can easily wing a build as you go, and the engine makes for a very interesting departure from the other ARPGs gameplay, especially if you use WASD controls or a controller.
This season in Path of Exile 1 my main character was an elementalist. My defense was provided almost entirely by flasks. I had a belt that gives +3 flask charges per second and two cluster jewels that buffed flask charges gained, flask duration, and attack/cast speed with flasks.
I used a Coruscating Elixir which removes all your HP and regenerates energy shield equal to the HP lost, and a flask that prevents all damage from bypassing energy shield but prevents healing from recovering any HP and makes it to go energy shield instead. I combined it with a weapon that had spell leech, so in combat I would be getting so many flask charges the Elixir would spam rapid fire, and I did so much damage my HP would be refilling constantly.
I used a Coiling Whisper ring with Asenath's Gentle Touch to make it so that curses persist on corpses, and when a curse reaches 90% duration I eat a soul (max 45 eaten souls gives +250% cast speed) and makes enemies killed near cursed corpses explode.
I teleport around the map wiping out entire groups of enemies with an AoE spell that attacks more than 50 times per second and has more than 10 million DPS and causes multiple negative ailments every time it hits anything and causes multiple buffs to trigger on me every time it hits anything. It also blinds enemies.
I'm using a shield that regenerates energy shield equal to 3% of my armor every time I block an attack and I block 50% of attacks and 60% of spells. I'm immune to chaos damage, burning damage freeze, chill, shock, stuns, and ignites.
Every time I kill an enemy I summon a spirit minion that attacks nearby enemies.
I have 4 golems.
I have 7,000 energy shield, 25000 armor, and 10000 evasion. I regenerate 300 energy shield every time I am hit by an attack.
@s8n actually, it's exactly because I can't (or rather, that I'm not forced to) make a crazy build where I zoom around the map exploding everything while playing flask piano that I enjoy PoE 2 so much better than PoE 1.
I got tired of playing broken ballista pathfinder builds or elementalists that just zip around killing entire screens of mobs while franctically hammering the top left keys of my keyboard. So much that even in PoE 1, all I was playijng in the latest times I have played was minion builds, using ridiculously overpowered specters.
flask piano isn't a thing, you use instilling orbs to make the flasks trigger automatically. I don't like spectres, I prefer to self cast something. But if I'm not working on my build and finding an exploit I'm not playing the game
I guess I could see preferring the simplicity of poe2 if you're the kind of player who copies others' builds off youtube but imho that's playing poe1 drastically wrong and taking all the fun out of it for yourself
@s8n come on, PoE players like to pretend they are super geniuses playing the most complex and hard to figure out game in the world. The "simplification" PoE 2 did just made it more streamlined and less annoying, now you don't need a mix of luck and autistic farming to get the nice slots, colors and links you need to make your cool skills work appropriately. It's especially less annoying while leveling up.
But other than that annoyance on gearing, PoE 1 is not that hard to figure out and find out the broken combos, especially with some nice new Unique. I'm not familiar with Coiling Whisper because it seems it was introduced in the latest patch, and it's been a while since I've last played PoE 1, but a quick look here shows me that Coiling Whisper Lightning Warp Elementalist is one of the most cookie cutter builds out there.
I am one of only seven level 100 elementalists in the entire league who are using my primary skill and among them I am one of three using staff or wand and shield. I'm the only one using Aegis Aurora. Only one of them is using my chest piece, and he's using Replica Dragonfang's Flight instead of Aul's Uprising so his auras and skills are completely different from mine

I still enjoy Jax because he is in a unique environment where there are fewer stakes. Like if you lived in a squash and stretch cartoon world, getting the shit beat outta you would suck for all of five seconds, before you just poofed back to normal cuz the whole thing was just a visual gag. We don't know exactly what Jax was like when he first arrived, as it seems clear that his current state is a cope for what he's dealt with since then. It's possible that either "Evil Jax" is how he used to be, or that he's always been a little bit of a comic asshole, but his traumas have cranked that up. Everybody's bothered by him because his nihilism sorta makes him socially dissociate. He doesn't want to care anymore, so he acts like he doesn't.
It does still bother me sometimes when he acts like a dick, but sometimes it also makes me laugh. Really depends.
I won't ever shit on Ragatha though. She's just trying her best. I know people like her, kinda.
My main target here was people who bend over backwards to make excuses for Jax behavior yet drag on Ragatha.
Jax is an abuser.
That doesn't make him a bad character but there's no excuse for how he treats everyone else. He has REASONS sure but none of them absolve him of the responsibility of his own actions.
My point was the people who defend Jax actions are in essence protecting an abuser. In the same way victims of domestic violence often do.

🔴 When his family arrived to visit him, they learned that today he has just been transferred to the Special High Security Penitentiary Enclosure (REPAS, former UEAS or CAS), without there being any reason for this change of establishment.
⚠️ This is very worrying. In this facility, an isolation prison regime is developed, in which prisoners do not have face-to-face visits (only by call center), they can only access 2 hours of courtyard, there are no visits from friends, there is no access to sports or cultural activities, among other dire conditions. Basically, this is a regime of TORTURE.
😤 It is shameful that while Mauricio has a trial in the Inter-American Court precisely because of the isolation he experienced in Brazil, the government of Boric (Frente Amplio) and Minister Gajardo (Communist Party) insist on applying an inhumane regime, internationally characterized as TORTURE.
