the rest of the stuff, flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate connect to the crankshaft so i'll have to hold off on that stuff until the block is back together.

i am thinking about installing a "block guard" which stabilizes the floating cylinder design of the d series engines, making it a partially closed design, to avoid the cylinders shifting around under high boost instead of naturally aspirated cylinder pressures.

block guards are a bit sketchy though cause they can also squeeze your cylinders and distort them slightly causing binding. so i'm not sure yet. i'll see how the one i ordered turns out

I am fascinated by the drama unfolding related to the HBC bankruptcy proceedings.
