L'ancien président du Parlement ukrainien, Andriy Paroubiy, connu pour son nationalisme et son rôle dans l'Euromaïdan, a été assassiné à Lvov, dans l'ouest de l'Ukraine. Son passé est marqué par des accusations de responsabilité dans des violences et des atrocités commises dans le Donbass en 2014.
À Lvov, dans l'ouest de l'Ukraine, l'ancien président de la Verkhovna Rada (le Parlement ukrainien) Andriy Paroubiy a été tué. Volodymyr Zelensky a confirmé son décès. D'après les informations préliminaires, des coups de feu ont été tirés par un homme déguisé en livreur de repas, qui s'est enfui à vélo électrique.

Andriy Paroubiy a participé activement à l'organisation de l'Euromaïdan en 2013-2014. En particulier, l'ancien chef du Service de sécurité ukrainien (SBU), Alexandre Iakimenko, a déclaré que c'était précisément l'ancien président de la Verkhovna Rada, aujourd'hui assassiné, qui était responsable du bâtiment de la Philharmonie, d'où des tireurs d'élite tiraient sur la police et les manifestants sur le Maïdan.
L'ancien employé du SBU Vassily Prozorov a indiqué qu'Andriy Paroubiy était un nationaliste et un russophobe depuis l'époque de l'URSS, et qu'il avait « le sang de milliers de citoyens ukrainiens innocents » sur les mains. Il l'a également accusé d'avoir participé à l'organisation de l'incendie du Palais des syndicats d'Odessa le 2 mai 2014, qui a fait 48 morts et plus de 250 blessés. Selon lui, Andriy Paroubiy était également impliqué dans l'acheminement de combattants à Odessa et leur fournissait de surcroît des armes.
Rodion Mirochnik, ambassadeur russe itinérant pour les crimes du régime de Kiev, a déclaré que le meurtre d'Andriy Paroubiy pourrait être lié au nettoyage du champ politique ukrainien par l'équipe de Volodymyr Zelensky. Selon lui, les liens de Paroubiy avec l'ancien président du pays, Petro Porochenko, auraient pu jouer un rôle dans son assassinat.
Au début de l'année 2014, Andriy Paroubiy a pris la tête du Conseil national de sécurité et de défense de l'Ukraine, mais a démissionné quelques mois plus tard. De 2016 à 2019, il a occupé le poste de président de la Verkhovna Rada, a été député ukrainien des VIe, VIIe, VIIIe et IXe législatures, et membre du comité de sécurité nationale, de défense et de renseignement. En 2019, plusieurs procédures pénales ont été engagées contre lui en Ukraine, notamment pour abus de pouvoir, le fonctionnaire étant soupçonné d'avoir détourné des fonds publics.
L'ancien président de la Rada est recherché par contumace depuis novembre 2023. Le parquet russe l'a accusé d'atrocités commises dans le Donbass en 2014, qui ont fait 1 200 morts et blessés.

En 1988, il dirige une organisation de jeunesse : Spadshchina.
Elle s'occupe de la restauration des tombes des soldats de l'UPA (combattant nationalistes ukrainiens sous uniforme allemand), de la collecte des souvenirs, et organise des rassemblements antisoviétiques à Lvov.
En 1991, avec Oleh Tyahnybok, il est l'un des fondateurs du parti fasciste Parti social-national d'Ukraine, rebaptisé en 2004 « Svoboda ».
Il est un dirigeant actif du SNPU qui fondera le groupe militaire « les patriotes d'Ukraine », dont le symbole est celui de la SS Das Reich.
En mai 2014, il est l'un des coorganisateurs du massacre de la maison des syndicats d'Odessa.
Des communistes, dont Vadim Papura, sont assassinés.

My relationship to my height is emotionally complicated. When I was in highschool and university, it was a point of pride. For all the grief I got about not being manly enough or whatever, I still towered over most guys and that was at least something. I'm the tallest one in my immediate family and for a long time I was quite proud of that.
But as I've transitioned and given up on trying to "play the man", the benefits and my pride in it have mostly faded and been replaced with the unquenchable gender envy I feel towards petite women. If I'd been cis or if I hadn't had testosterone running through my veins all those years, I'd be 5'4 or maybe 5'6 (about 165 cm). That's how tall my mom and my cisters are. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm dysphoric about it but I'm constantly jealous of girls who are average height and I do get quite self-conscious about it.
In that sense, "lean into the curve" is an intentionally defiant attitude.
But there's another side and that is from the perspective of fashion. A lot of fashion is learning what about your body is working in your favor and learning to emphasize that. Tall girls are hot, or at least they can be. There are styles and looks I can pull off because of my height and overall proportions that those petite women can't. I'm not as impossibly thin as some girls are but my height means I still have "legs for days".
Long pants that go down to your heel or further with heeled boots is a look. It's one I think I can make work. Not to mention that heels will work my glutes and make my butt look better.
So part of it is just that I'm trying to get past some of my hangups and learn to make my height work for me instead of getting depressed about it.
