For Caturday, I present a photo of my semi-feral Cinder. He now allows same handling and even enjoys being brushed but a year ago we had to put a feeding tube in to be able to medicate him during a severe upper respiratory infection. I think I might be able to medicate him now. It would help that the vet removed all his teeth at a recent dental. Maybe the improvement in his personality is because he’s no longer in constant pain.

Another reason I block ALL content from remote servers when reading FSE is the possibility that some exploit might be developed that loads malicious scripts.
There have been a few such incidents since 2018 when I arrived.
They did this to Nelson Mandela, and he turned the tables on them.

We need to ask why, 60 years later, #race still occupies such a large part of our public #consciousness.
King’s complaint was not about our national charter. He referred to the “magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.”
His complaint and indictment were that the nation was not living up to that charter.
In the grand scheme of things, King, in that speech, defined the movement he led as about leading #America to its full potential, as defined by the ideals and principles in its founding documents.

- What is the balance of native workers retiring vs becoming working age? Flat, negative, positive?
- Are US born children of immigrants counted as new native workers? (likely)
- What type of jobs are we even talking about? Gov stats are notorious for conflating part time and full-time (real) jobs to show a rosier picture.
Bottom line is America's jobs and employment situation is a mess, and nobody even wants to create an informative picture accurately showing reality - let alone trying to fix anything.
