Decided to get back to this years-old mosaic and finally finish it. It's M33 / The Triangulum galaxy from the PHATTER survey, which is a spin-off of the PHAT survey, originally taking a similarly huge mosaic of the Andromeda galaxy. I'm glad they got to do the Triangulum too because there's a lot of cool stuff to look at. Now, if only I could figure out how to share an 871 MB image file in a way that is enjoyable and not hugely detrimental to the image quality...

My own thoughts on #BlueSky : It's not a bad site. I enjoy seeing people I used to follow on the bird site; people like Mark Hamill, who really is part of the resistance. But right now, BlueSky is most definitely, with my algorithm, a We Hate Trump party. And, I get it. I cannot stand him or his band of deplorables. Still, all that hating can't be healthy.
I scroll through BlueSky and memo, comment, and photo after meme, comment, and photo is Trump. I don't want to see him that much. And, quite frankly, in modern propaganda, all those posts do nothing but give Trump the attention he wants. In modern propaganda, all reality is PR. Rage sells. More rage, more clicks, more $$$, more attention, and the cycle begins again. This constant posting, even if what is said is true and well deserved, doesn't diminish his influence; rather, it grows his influence exponentially.

Suchir Balaji, 26, was found dead in his Buchanan Street apartment on Nov. 26, according to San Francisco police and the chief medical examiner's office. Police had been called to the Lower Haight apartment around 1 p.m. that day after receiving a call asking officers to check on his welfare, a police spokesman said.
The medical examiner ruled the cause of death a suicide, and police said this week there was "no evidence of foul play at this time."
The information he had was expected to play a key role in the cases against the San Francisco-based company.

Hi, I'm looking for a job. I have not been fired, or laid off, I was investing personal time in trying a few different things. Personal time is now running thin.
I have been professionally a computer programmer for 19 years. I was mainly a web developer (“full stack”) during the first 14 years, but now have gone to simpler fields. I am now what I would call a distribution integrator, and UX-focused developer spanning from the platform firmware up to the user-facing interface. (See: NixOS involvement, Mobile NixOS, Tow-Boot, etc.)
I am looking for remote work, and live on the Eastern Time Zone in North America. I am flexible about working hours if needed. I am bilingual (French and English).
A good fit for me will have me working and contributing back on Open Source Software as a significant component.
