Deux livres annuels pour les amateurs de trains et de trams en Europe
Une longue tradition
Fin 1977 parait aux éditions De Alk, maison d'édition néerlandaise, un petit livre au format poche intitulé "Spoorwegen '78". Comportant moins de cent pages, il relate les faits marquants des réseaux ferroviaires du BeNeLux et des autres pays d'Europe de l'Ouest (L'Europe est toujours divisée par un rideau de fer).
L'année suivante, la même maison d'édition édite outre "Spoorwegen '79", un autre petit ouvrage dans le même format quant à lui consacré aux trams et porte simplement le titre "Trams '79".
Ces deux ouvrages sont les premiers d'une longue série qui est toujours en cours!
Outre ces deux ouvrages, De Alk publie toute une série de "Jaarboeken" (Livres annuels) sur de d'autres thèmes techniques : aviation, navigation intérieure, voitures et motos. [¹]
Evolution au fil des ans
D'année en année, les deux titres ont suivi l'évolution des chemins de fer et des réseaux de tramways mais aussi l'évolution géopolitique de l'Europe. Ainsi, le nombre de pages a régulièrement augmenté et à partir de l'édition 2002, le "Jaarboek" a grandi quelque peu en taille, il est depuis lors publié au format A5.
Dès le début, il y a des photos, noir et blanc d'abord et puis de plus en plus en couleurs. Leur nombre a augmenté avec l'augmentation du nombre de pages et aujourd'hui, toutes les photos sont en couleurs.
De nos jours Spoorwegen compte des centaines de photos et près de mille page! Un sacré pavé!
Trams, quant à lui, compte 270 pages et aussi de nombreuses photos.

Au sommaire de la dernière édition, parue le 16 décembre 2024, on retrouve les informations de l'industrie ferroviaire avec toutes les nouveautés dans le domaine du matériel roulant sur une bonne trentaine de pages. Ensuite, l'actualité ferroviaire de tous les pays européens (au sens large) est abordée :
Europe du Nord : Finlande, Norvège, Suède et Danemark;
Europe de l'Ouest : Allemagne, Pays-Bas, Royaume-Uni, Irlande, Belgique, Luxembourg, France, Suisse et Autriche;
Europe du Sud : Italie, Espagne et Portugal;
États baltes : Lettonie, Lituanie et Estonie;
Europe de l'Est : Pologne, Tchéquie, Slovaquie et Hongrie;

Trams 2025
Paru fin novembre 2024, Trams 2025 aborde sur 272 pages tout aussi richement illustrées, l'actualité des trams à travers l'Europe : Pays-Bas, Belgique, Luxembourg, Allemagne, Suisse, Autriche, France, Espagne, Portugal, Italie, Scandinavie. L'Europe de l'Est et du Sud-Est sont abordées de manière plus succincte mais bien illustrée quand même. À noter que la section contient quelques données et photos sur la Russie et la Biélorussie, fait assez remarquable quand on sait la situation géopolitique actuelle.
Une tradition de "Trams" est de compléter le volume par un article à thème. Cette année, ce sont les trams en Amérique du Sud qui sont à l'honneur.
Pour finir
Voici deux ouvrages essentiels pour les amateurs de chemins de fer et de trams qui depuis près de cinquante ans les informent de ce qui se passe à travers l'Europe des trains et des trams.
Comme déjà évoqué plus haut, l'iconographie tient une place importante dans les deux ouvrages et pour être tout à fait complet, précisons que les photos sont le plus souvent imprimées sur une demi-page, soit un format proche du 10 x 15.
Trams 2025 est illustré d'environ 275 photos, Spoorwegen en compte lui, plus de 900!
A ma connaissance, il n'existe rien de semblable en français ou dans une autre langue. Il y a bien eu, au début des années 2000, une tentative de traduction en allemand qui visiblement n'a pas été couronnée de succès puisqu'elle concerne deux ou trois éditions seulement. Peut-être est-ce là une différence majeure entre grands et petits états, les grands pays se concentrent davantage sur "leurs" trains et montrent peu d'intérêt pour les autres... tandis que les petits pays sont plus ouverts?
Néanmoins, pour ceux qui maîtrisent le néerlandais, c'est une source incroyable d'informations et de photos. Qui sait, peut-être que cela en motivera l'un ou l'autre à l'apprendre?
Ces ouvrages sont disponibles sur toutes les grandes plateformes de vente en ligne et directement chez l'éditeur. En Belgique, on peut facilement les commander via les librairies Club ou Standaard Boekhandel et le récupérer dans un des nombreux points de vente de leur réseau.
Le prix est démocratique : trams 2025 coûte 24,50 EUR et Spoorwegen 2025, lui, revient à 37,50 EUR. Assurément, un très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Ich finde es schade, dass der Strafbefehl so akzeptiert wurde. Ein öffentliches Verfahren wäre schon allein wegen der Wichtigkeit Natenoms angebracht gewesen.
Es hat schon ein Geschmäckle dass die Staatsanwaltschaft Pforzheim den Fall so schnell wie möglich abgearbeitet haben wollen. Nicht dass ein Richter noch Fragen stellt, inwieweit Andreas' Anzeigen bearbeitet wurden.
Der Winter ist mittlerweile auch Pflanzzeit, weil weitgehend frostfrei und die Blätter bei wurzelnackter Baumschulware oder selbst zu verpflanzenden Gehölzen noch zu lange dran waren. Kein Frost mehr im September.

Bitte entschuldigt die lange "Funkstille". Grund dafür ist, dass ich unter einer Depression leide. Zeitweilig ging bei mir so gut wie nix mehr, musste mich auch für ne Woche krank melden, als es ganz schlimm war. Ich hatte wochenlang nicht schlafen können, nur gegrübelt, ständig geheult. Alle Hobbies sind auf der Strecke geblieben. Inzwischen geht es mir wieder besser, wobei ich immer noch Momente habe, wo das "Grübeln" wieder losgeht und ich einfach nur weinen muss.
Incredible things are happening in two of my three moth orchids that I've just mostly kept alive after they stopped blooming originally. Both were in bloom last winter.
The third one just keeps making new leaves, is looking the healthiest tbh, but does not want to bloom.
But I am so exited to see if these actually become flowers.
I've never before kept one of these market bought orchids around long after they stop blooming, but after my sisters orchid decided to rebloom I decided to just let them be as well.
Almost missed these, the flowering stems were well hidden crawling under the leaves. But there they are.🌸
I'm not great at plant care in general, and know nothing at all about orchids. But someone gave me one a few years ago, and I just ... kept it alive, somehow. And then earlier this year it put out a spike, and then buds, and then flowers! It was the most exciting thing; I started lavishing verbal encouragement on it and gently swiping the dust off its leaves. My spouse thought it was hilarious.
Who gets the job of analyzing women's privates to ensure they are actually women on women's sports teams? It should be a woman, of course, but sad that some gender-disturbed loser's junk will be part of her examination.
A few mos ago, USPS delivered a pkg to my door, rang the bell & left. I opened the door to find a pkg with a hole in the corner & there was nothing in it. He/she just left it there empty. I had to drive to the post office with it, stood in line & waited. I stated that the item was probably stolen. @relentless_eduardo Yes, the Post Office was DEI long before DEI was a thing. How can women handle large parcels with two-inch fingernails? I saw one clerk pushing the buttons on her postage printer machine with her fucken knuckles.
