I’ve been thinking through a lot of the feedback on (and things I've learned about peoples' perception of) @flathub's MetaInfo quality guidelines. I think I'd like to iterate a bit on how we present/talk about them; it could be helpful to make them more "branded" in a way to help make it more clear that they're really more of an opinionated, almost editorial thing.
I'm still brainstorming, but rather than inconsistently using "quality guidelines," "quality checks," and "high quality app data," I think I'd like to align on something more specific—plus some sort of consistent iconography. Even consistently using "Flathub Quality Guidelines" and e.g. a ★ icon would be an improvement, but I think people are still tripped up by "guidelines" and it still doesn't convey that these are criteria to be featured as an app of the day or in the weekly banner rotation.
I'm thinking something along the lines of "Exemplar" but that sounds maybe a bit *too* fancy/out there. Paired with a laurels icon, though… it could work. 🤔
Apps that meet them make Flathub look better and are also eligible to be featured in the big weekly rotating banner and as the "app of the day" on the flathub.org home page (among a few other things).
The issue I see is that many apps have the same icon/name they had for ages and both are major brand identifiers. I understand the guidelines in regards to those from a desingers perspective but I feel like there should be limits to how much you want to interfere as an app distribution platform and especially uneven treatment like exceptions just because the app is big (E.g. GIMP) seem like a bad idea to me too.

I have had parents accompany their adult kids to our office and express their desire to participate while I interview them. I have also had many parents call asking about job openings for their kids, or to follow up after an interview. On one occasion this happened with a kid who had 6 years of post college experience and wL likely 28. Its pathetic that parents could fail their kids so completely.

Cet avocat, c’est moi, et la méthode utilisée a été très simple: Marie Elisabeth CIATTONI, directrice de la 1ère DPJ, s’est vue confier, en plein conflit d’intérêts, l’enquête sur mon vrai-faux kompromat, qu’elle a immédiatement publicisée pour faire pression sur la partie civile qui, rappelons-le, a affirmé à la procédure « ne jamais avoir porté plainte » et se sentir sous pression de la police.
Alors qu’elle se savait visée par une procédure pénale initiée par mes soins et qui l’amènerait à être longuement entendue par l’IGPN, Mme. CIATTONI décide de se maintenir à la tête de la direction de l’enquête, ce qui l’amènerait à falsifier des PV, faire disparaître des pièces et faire pression sur des témoins, parties et des experts pendant près des trois ans pour tenter de sauver une procédure aberrante.
Les informations recueillies par la 1ère DPJ remontaient à l’Elysée, plus précisément auprès d’Hélène Davo, conseillère justice de l’Elysée, et étaient ensuite disséminées de façon tronquée dans la presse pour tenter de me nuire et de faire pression sur la magistrature, mais également mon client.
Rappelons que ces individus ont joué un rôle clef pour étouffer les scandales de la #macronie, notamment l’affaire Laurent #Bigorgne (co-fondateur d’En Marche ayant tenté de droguer sa belle-soeur et employée, qu’ils feront échapper aux assises) mais également l’affaire #Benalla, sauvant notamment le directeur de cabinet de l'Elysée.

Un homme qui, reclassé auprès du directeur de la PJ pour le tenir en silence, y découvrant la pourriture du pouvoir, aurait pour seul tort que de le dénoncer, se faisant littéralement jeter à la rue par l’IGPN après avoir tenté de porter plainte seul, avant de faire appel à moi pour l’aider. Une procédure pour prise illégale d’intérêts a été enclenchée à l’encontre de Mme. CIATTONI. Trois autres instructions sont en cours pour faire la vérité.
Elle est aujourd’hui protégée par le parquet de Paris, qui fait tout pour entraver les procédures visant à faire la vérité.
