Italy: Anarchist Prisoner Ghespe Hospitalized


On the night of 14 to 15 February, an arrest put an end, after about two years, to the fugitive status of Salvatore “Ghespe” Vespertino. The beatings and threats he suffered in detention led him to make an extreme gesture: in order to leave the section of the Soto del Real prison in Madrid, he cut the veins on his arms and was transferred to the psychiatric hospital where he was again subjected to ill-treatment. The rule is that anyone who endangers his or her own life is subject to hospitalization and medication under duress. Ghespe specifies that his act was not carried out with a suicidal intention.

After his release from hospital, he was extradited to Italy on March 4 and locked up in Rebibbia prison in Rome. On 20 March, he was transferred to Spoleto prison and placed provisionally in the infirmary section. Following a dispute with a guard, he was subjected to another hospitalization under constraint in psychiatry. Ghespe is in a cell alone and is waiting for permission to be able to visit with his partner. His comrades invite all those in solidarity to send him letters and books (in Italian and Castilian): Salvatore Vespertino / Casa di Reclusione Spoleto / Località Maiano, 10 / 06049 – Spoleto (PG) / Italy.

Somehow, their "proprietary hard drives" are "more trustworthy", or that is more "secure" or whatever...

Die angeblichen Beschränkungen sind nur von M$ angegeben aber haben nichts mit der realen Kompatibilität des OS zu tun, aber mit dem anderen Schrott der bei W11 mitgeliefert wird um "die Benutzererfahrung zu verbessern".
(Mein von mir ausgemülltes W11 24H2 hat weniger als 700MB RAM)

Ein gutes Beispiel ist WindowsX, eine ausgemistete Windows Version, die man verwenden kann, wenn die offizielle Aktualisierung von M$ verweigert wird.

Le suicidaire pacte militariste

Au cœur de notre discussion se trouvait la marche agressive de l'Europe vers la militarisation. Le Dr. #Oberg a dénoncé l'absurdité de lier les dépenses militaires au PIB, suggérant qu’ainsi même le déclin économique vient justifier la #guerre. Le fonds de défense de 800 milliards d'euros prévu par l'UE, financé par un emprunt collectif, est une bombe fiscale à retardement qui pèsera sur les générations futures tout en alimentant une guerre que l'Europe a déjà perdue. Oberg qualifie cela de « théâtre de l’absurde », notant que même dans des pays comme la Suède et le Danemark, autrefois considérés comme des bastions de paix, le militarisme est devenu une orthodoxie généralisée.

Pour Ian #Proud, les dirigeants européens souffrent d'une paralysie intellectuelle incurable. Alors que Donald Trump envisage des accords de paix, les élites de l'UE s'accrochent à une position figée sur l'Ukraine, inchangée depuis 2014. Le refus collectif d'admettre l'échec, alors même que l'Ukraine perd du terrain et que le soutien du public à la guerre s'essouffle, est extrêmement dangereux. Ce n'est pas une stratégie, mais un déni de réalité.

I fear I am getting into the flavor extract game. I made this "kue lapis" (layered mochi) with alternating flavors of saffron, pandan (powdered form) and kaffir lime. I have the texture down with just enough tapioca flour to stiffen the glutinous rice.

My flavors could not punch though (though I used what, in other contexts, would too much). It feels like they need to be 3X-6X more, I think I can only get there with concentrate/extracts.

I do want to try making a layer with a strawberry reduction, but if this really worked, I would have guessed someone would have made it by now.

I found an excellent freeze-dried raspberry powder that was like 10x more flavorful than the cheaper one I tried. So now I'm an advocate of freeze-dried fruit powders, as long as they're high quality. If you want to try making raspberry mochi, I highly recommend Koyah powder. They don't make a strawberry powder but high quality ones do exist.

Saffron is an extremely subtle flavor; I imagine it struggles to keep up with the others. But what do I know? I've never used pandan and don't even know what it tastes like.
