Avant de penser à avoir une retraite convenable il faudrait peut-être se pencher sur l'évidence que sans salaire convenable, il ne peut y avoir de retraite convenable. On ne cotise pas pour notre propre retraite, mais si les salaires sont bas, les cotisations sont basses, de fait les pensions de retraite seront faibles.

HANOI (Reuters) -Vietnam's trade ministry has issued a directive to crack down on illegal transhipment of goods to the United States and other trading partners as it tries to avoid steep U.S. tariffs, according to a document reviewed by Reuters.

The ministry in the directive, which was dated and effective April 15, said trade fraud was likely to increase amid growing tension caused by U.S. tariffs.

That in turn would make it "more complicated to avoid sanctions that countries will apply to imported goods" if fraud is not prevented, it said.

The directive did not specifically name any countries where transhipment fraud might originate. However, Vietnam's goods imports are nearly 40% from China and Washington has openly accused Beijing of using the Southeast Asian nation as a transhipment hub to dodge U.S. duties.

The trade ministry directive was issued the day China's President Xi Jinping concluded a trip to Vietnam during which several agreements were signed, including one on strengthening cooperation between agencies in charge of issuing certificates on the origin of goods.

Earlier this week, Beijing warned countries against striking trade deals with the U.S. at its expense.

Under allegations of illegal transhipment, exported goods from China stop in Vietnam to change their certificate of origin despite no or insufficient value being added in the country, before being shipped to the United States where they can enjoy lower tariffs than if they were labelled as Chinese products.

There's so much going on in the news, and the best we can do is try not to eat too many pints of ice cream.

Someone named TalkWithSandy was on Chrissie Mayr's podcast Sunday talking to Kim Coulter (cousin to Ann) about how TikTok turned her child into a leftist by using cognitive warfare. But she doesn't seem to get that she sent her child to public school for 12 years where she was subjected to it eight hours a day plus homework as a captive audience. What a blind spot to have. Your child would have been resistant to social media influences had she been homeschooled - you don't get it at all. She has SMS (shallow mom syndrome).

Problématique de la série :

Le capitalisme ne connait qu'une seule règle, celle du profit. Il ne sait mener aucune action sans se poser au préalable la question de sa rentabilité. Et si sauver le climat n'était pas rentable ? Et si la maltraitance des travailleurs était le meilleur moyen de maximiser les bénéfices ?
Forcer le capitalisme à se plier aux enjeux éthiques et moraux de notre temps semble impossible. En effet, à chaque fois qu'il est contraint par une loi, il ne cesse de chercher à la contourner. Et si la solution passait par une redéfinition comptable des profits ? Et si les dividendes n'étaient permis qu'une fois les "dettes environnementales" et "humaines" remboursées ?
Puisque la véritable main invisible du capitalisme est faite de lois comptables que les entreprises doivent respecter (sinon elles font faillite), "réparer" le capitalisme passe peut-être par une révolution comptable qui porte le nom de C.A.R.E ou "Comptabilité en Triple Capital"
