I don't think fedex actually wants to *deliver* packages. I think they want to move them between cities and have you pick them up yourself.
I currently have a package coming that requires an "indirect signature", which their website states "the recipient can sign for the package electronically through fedex delivery manager". Delivery manager tells me that I simply click on a shipping notification and click on "Sign for a package". The shipping notification says "This package can no longer be signed online... blah blah blah".
Meanwhile, the AI bot in the corner is suggesting I can pick up the package at a fedex location. Fuck you. Bring my shit to my house. That's the fucking job. The nearest location requires a 25 mile round trip drive.
So, fedex sucks for me and the GOP wants to kill my access to the Postal Service. UPS is the "good" option, but I'm not holding my breath on that continuing.
Anyway... Don't mind me, just ranting.

Dude handed me my package and, DID NOT ask for a signature, even though everything online seemed to indicate that I would absolutely NEED to be home to provide one. I assume he just scribbled something on his digital pad, but I'm really curious whether he would have done the same if I wasn't home? It's all just fucking random.

That's absolutely it. I think that's why they're slow-walking their destruction of the postal service. I think they realize it's one of the live wires where they can't afford to move too quickly, lest the public lose their shit.
I will NEVER forgive Biden for not taking decisive action against DeJoy. I've heard all the explanations why he "couldn't" and... (Gestures vaguely toward the Trump Whitehouse)... Yeah bro, no one would ever let a president get away with firing the people on a supervisory board because they refuse to fire a guy who is there to literally destroy the agency he's been placed in charge of. **That** would be overreach... 🤦♂️

It's painfully apparent that the "money assholes" are salivating at the prospect of stripping several government sectors of every dime. One party is busy crying that they just can't seem to do anything about it, and the other party is trying to convince us that we'll actually be happier without. USPS, medicare, social security, the park service... you fucking name it, they all want to strip mine it and sell us a watered down replacement.

1. Label printed
2. We have no idea where this thing is
3. Package was delivered yesterday
