Tucker was fired because he covered the Jan 6th videos on his show. The network owners were annoyed that he wasn't following orders and too much of a free hand so they fired him. At the time, he was the top ranked show by viewers on any network.

After he went independent he found he could actually earn more money than on his former Fox contract. He has continued to release top tier interviews.

Fox tried to sue him to prevent him from making content but their lawsuit failed.

Yeah cryptocurrency so far looks like a non-starter as an actual alternative because you still effectively end up with exchange points (banks original form) due to the stupid amount of different cryptocurrencies.
And their fees are stupidly high you might as well pay the 1€ extortion that your bank has (luckily mine hasn't pulled that crap for SMS-2FA).

I visited Durham once before but that might well have been more than twenty years ago. I remember the cathedral very well, but the town itself is much nicer than I remember.

I've spent the whole afternoon traipsing about, buying books in the cathedral gift shop and the local three storey Waterstones. If I didn't have a baggage limit, I'd have spent dangerous amounts of money in there...

So far this has been an extremely smooth trip. I collected my fabric-printed posters and the quality is excellent : better than our office's paper printer. Total delay on the trains : 4 minutes. Now I just have to survive the week and get down to Cardiff.

It might be a long shot, but I have to try.

If there is anyone out there with a scanner, who has issue 11 of Total! magazine, would you be willing to scan a part of a page for me.

Below is the cover of this issue as well as the affected page.
A previous owner has cut out a coupon on the opposite side.
That side is no issue as the ad is reprinted in the following issue as well, which I have, so I can replace that easily.

The problem is page number 61, where the bottom review for a Super Nintendo game is also gone.
If anyone can get me a clean scan of this part, I'd be able to complete this magazine without any missing sections.

These animals were well cared for and the Veterinarian was on 24/7 call if necessary.

🇮🇱 🇵🇸 Israeli annexation of Judea and Samaria has been placed back on the table, with 15 Likud ministers—including Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana—signing a letter urging Netanyahu to do just that before the Knesset’s summer session ends on July 27.

Why annexation? Extending Israeli sovereignty over the entire of Judea and Samaria would “prevent another massacre in the heart of the country” and “ensure Israel’s security for generations,” the ministers wrote.

And why now? While according to the letter, the time for annexation is ripe following “the State of Israel’s historic achievements in the face of Iran’s axis of evil and its sympathizers,” there’s certainly more to this story.

For one, this may well be a right-wing attempt to attain compensation for ending the war in Gaza—or even a ceasefire. And they’re likely hoping for support from President Trump, whose 2020 Israeli-Palestinian peace plan would have seen Israel annex settlements in Judea and Samaria.

Indeed, right-wing Israeli activists are maintaining direct contacts with the Trump administration on this very issue. But there’s also another possibility: This could all be a ploy to help push an expansion of the Abraham Accords. How so? In June 2020, while Netanyahu seriously discussed unilaterally annexing parts of Judea and Samaria, the UAE’s Ambassador to the U.S. Yousef Al-Otaiba wrote an op-ed on the front page of Yedioth Ahronoth, warning that “Israeli plans for annexation and talk of normalization are a contradiction.”

Skip forward three months: The annexation dream is dropped, and Israel, the UAE and Bahrain are signing the Abraham Accords at the White House.

They’re unlikely to admit it, but those 15 ministers may well remember Yousef Al-Otaiba’s plea—and have now set their sights on Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman.

When I was a kid, my grandfather and family urged the plate be finished: "there are starving Armenians!" Now I made bitinjan w ful ma’ beyd and it was delicious (made the pickled onions a couple nights ago). While grateful to have it--I could only think of the kids in Palestine dying for such delicious fare. #Procon-SP, the #SaoPaulo branch of #Brazil’s #ConsumerProtection and Defence program, has stated in a press release that it is challenging #Nintendo‘s ability to #brick Nintendo #Switch2 consoles when it wants, citing certain aspects of it “abusive.” As we already know Nintendo can permanently restrict you from accessing the Nintendo eShop and online play if they believe you have used unauthorised accessories or pirated #software. This leads to the devastating 2124-4508 error code. Procon-SP says that canceling subscriptions or services without explanation violates consumer protection rules in Brazil. Nintendo has said that it has appointed a local #law firm to handle the matter.

Several more inches of #rain are expected Sunday in areas of Central #Texas already devastated by #flooding. Up to 4" could fall Sunday, w/ isolated areas potentially receiving up to 10" thru Monday, per #NWS.

Jason Runyen, a meteorologist for Austin, San Antonio & the surrounding areas, said that while river levels across the region had receded, more rain could exacerbate flooding in the area. Flash flooding in the region killed >67 people, w/dozens missing.

A desperate search for 11 girls continues.

59 of the confirmed deaths occurred in #KerrCounty, Sheriff Larry Leitha said Sunday, including 21 children. In addition to the #deaths in Kerr County, there were 8 deaths due to the flooding in surrounding counties.

The flooding hit #CampMystic, a Christian summer camp next to the Guadalupe River, where 11 campers are still missing, Leitha said.
