When all banks require a stupid app or you pay some stupid amount like 1โฌ for every online transaction you do online thanks to requiring some sort of 2FA and SMS being the only other option, inquiring them to change will do completely nothing. You think they care about maybe 2% of their users leaving when they have no place to go? Of course not. You can't boycott that. You can write to politicians in the hopes that they'll even read your email and hope they won't bodge the law, but that's about the extent of what you can do.
Same with being in a group of friends that use some proprietary chat app. When they refuse to switch to something else, you'll either be a nuisance because they have to talk to you in some other way, or you'll slowly lose contact with them. And I don't think that's a hill worth dying for. Hence why I said that working around those issues is the better option, at least for me.

Why annexation? Extending Israeli sovereignty over the entire of Judea and Samaria would โprevent another massacre in the heart of the countryโ and โensure Israelโs security for generations,โ the ministers wrote.
And why now? While according to the letter, the time for annexation is ripe following โthe State of Israelโs historic achievements in the face of Iranโs axis of evil and its sympathizers,โ thereโs certainly more to this story.
For one, this may well be a right-wing attempt to attain compensation for ending the war in Gazaโor even a ceasefire. And theyโre likely hoping for support from President Trump, whose 2020 Israeli-Palestinian peace plan would have seen Israel annex settlements in Judea and Samaria.
Indeed, right-wing Israeli activists are maintaining direct contacts with the Trump administration on this very issue. Bibi, they believe, has other priorities with the president, such as Iranโs nuclear program and normalization with Syria and Saudi Arabiaโand, as a result, they fear he isnโt really pressing the White House on annexation.
But thereโs also another possibility: This could all be a ploy to help push an expansion of the Abraham Accords. How so? In June 2020, while Netanyahu seriously discussed unilaterally annexing parts of Judea and Samaria, the UAEโs Ambassador to the U.S. Yousef Al-Otaiba wrote an op-ed on the front page of Yedioth Ahronoth, warning that โIsraeli plans for annexation and talk of normalization are a contradiction.โ
Skip forward three months: The annexation dream is dropped, and Israel, the UAE and Bahrain are signing the Abraham Accords at the White House.
Theyโre unlikely to admit it, but those 15 ministers may well remember Yousef Al-Otaibaโs pleaโand have now set their sights on Saudi Arabiaโs Mohammed bin Salman.
