I keep meaning to write up an analysis of LLM use based on systems-thinking—the core issue is that their volatility is bad for organisations and leads to gambler behaviour in individuals—but then I come across some fresh bullshit and realise there's nothing I can say to change people's minds. The people who are against it are already against it and the people who are for it, or even on the fence, aren't likely to listen to my style of argument.
I do tech consulting, and more than once since 2022 I've advised small-to-medium-sized businesses about LLMs. It's extremely valuable to have analysis like this in hand and be able to link to it. Throwing an analysis into the wind may not change minds, but those of us in the trenches can make excellent use of it.
