I'm so glad I ain't and won't be running Windows 11, with Microsoft repeatedly severely breaking people's systems through their officially mandatory automatic updates-system.

This is just the most recent, currently major ongoing, example of Microsoft releasing updates that completely wreck Windows 11 users' systems, in some cases completely irrecoverably, or that time when they left some people without being able to user their printers for nine months just because auto-update broke their computers.

Whether I was a human (which... I believe I am) or a corporation (I'm not) I would just absolutely never trust Windows 11 to be the platform for anything of any importance, since Microsoft apparently does not care about the operating system, only about the spyware and adware they keep baking into it while they break it.

I strongly recommend against letting Windows 11 touch any device you have any say-so over – obviously.

For almost everyone the choices comes down to variants of Linux (other options exist, but if it's for you, you know about the options already).

Which one is for you depends on you and what you want to use your computer for.
The choice and responsibility is yours, obviously, but here's some options.
