Turkey: Another Revolutionary Prisoner Turns Hunger Strike into Fast to Death

Ayberk Demirdöğen is one of the revolutionary prisoners who are carrying out a harsh indefinite hunger strike in Turkey against prisons S, R and Y (known as “wells”) which are notorious for their particularly inhumane detention conditions and solitary confinement policies. Started on March 11, 2025, he decided to transform his strike into a fast until death on August 27, 2025 on the 170th day of his struggle. In this struggle, he joins Serkan Onur Yilmaz (on the right in the photo) whose life is in danger after more than 290 days of fasting until death.

Abu Obeida: Zionist Prisoners in Gaza Will Be With Al-Qassam Fighters Confronting Occupation

Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stated that the Zionist military would pay a hefty price for its plans to occupy Gaza City with the blood of its soldiers, which would also increase the chances of more troops being captured.

In a post on Telegram on Friday, Abu Obeida warned that these plans to occupy Gaza would spell disaster for the occupation on both the political and military levels

He stated “The ‘israeli’ enemy’s criminal plans to occupy Gaza will be a curse upon its political and military leadership, and the “israeli” army will pay the price with the blood of its soldiers, and it will increase the chances of capturing new soldiers, God willing.

Our fighters are on high alert, ready, and in high spirits. They will present unique examples of heroism and bravery and will teach the invaders harsh lessons, with God’s help.

War criminal Netanyahu and his Nazi ministers have stubbornly decided to reduce the number of living ‘israeli’ captives by half and that most of the bodies of their dead prisoners will disappear forever, for which the ‘israeli’ army and its terrorist government will bear full responsibility.

We will protect the ‘israeli’ captives as much as we can, and they will be with our fighters in places of combat and confrontation under the same conditions of risk and living. We will announce every prisoner killed by the aggression with their name, picture, and proof of their death.”

Subway Tooter fediverse app isgreat but sure does give some strange error messages sometimes. Or else has some crazy mistakes in its network connection code, IDK.

eg this one (photo attached), 103...:443 is correct, that's my fedi server's address. But sometimes it tries to connect to seemingly random ipv6 addresses instead. My server has no ipv6 address, none of the DNS servers I use return an ipv6 address for my site, the authoritative nameservers I use do not have any ipv6 either.

Also what's this 192.0.. address? Nothing on my phone network, nothing on my home network, nothing on my server, nothing anywhere uses 192.0...

Is there any ARM64 SoC that can boot to Linux without either requiring a DRAM controller initialization/training blob or punting the whole boot process to a second processor running wholly closed firmware? That second one rules out Raspberry Pi (for personal projects). I'd grudgingly accept ARM Trusted Firmware persistently running in the background if the SoC's branch/fork of that is fully open-source. But I still don't like how much code has to run before you get to the OS kernel.
