We're storing enormous amounts of heat in the world's oceans. Every tick mark is 10²² Joule, that's 10,000 Exajoule, or 15 years' worth of global energy consumption.

I spend some time on this argument too in the blog post below, "are we actually rocking the climate boat?" And the answer is, yes, most definitely: berthub.eu/articles/posts/on-c…

My response & post to the above was:

"They're called Kapos.

What is a 'Kapo'? The history of the worst insult a Jew can give another Jew

Daniel Sugarman sets out how the term originates from the most painful episode of Jewish history

Like any other religious or ethnic group, there are insults specific to the Jewish community, some of greater or lesser intensity. But “kapo” belongs to a special category of awfulness.

The term is viewed with disgust by many Jews, most of whom would never choose to use it.

Using the most painful episode of Jewish history, it accuses Jews today of actively betraying their fellow Jews by working for their oppressors.

"Kapos" were created by the SS, the Nazi troops responsible for ...

murdering most Jews killed in the Holocaust.

The SS tormented those it chose to keep alive in its camps for slave labour.

The Nazis would select some prisoners in the camps and give them preferential treatment, including extra food and no hard labour, in return for helping keep other prisoners in line.

These "kapos" worked as overseers, beating and sometimes even killing their fellow prisoners.

Obviously the common factor is me but I'm continuously baffled how many bizarre people I run into by doing nothing. I just stopped at subway and got a wrap. Ordered a very clearly labeled menu item with predetermined ingredients and said "everything on there normally is fine".

Every time she'd add an ingredient she would stop, rest her hands on the counter and stare at me dead in the eyes silently. A few seconds of awkward pause later I say "uhh do you have a question?"

"Yeah are onions okay?"

"Yes everything on there is fine"

Puts onions on there

Stops again and stares at me in silence. I have no idea what ingredient comes next.

".... Yes?"

"Are tomatoes okay?"

"Yes"

We went back and fourth like this for 6 minutes

@HuckleberryFinnandNiggerJim so I am looking up subway menu signs and these do not look like what I saw. The sign here very specifically stated every ingredient, including toppings and vegetables, that would come on the sandwich. It was like every other place where you only give the product name and they choose the toppings. I would have taken a picture if I knew I was eating at fake ass alien subway

What if, listen to me, what if, instead, we relocated Palestinians and Gazans... directly on the Blockchain?

"The Trump administration and international partners are discussing proposals to build a 'Riviera of the Middle East' on the rubble of Gaza. One would establish U.S. control and pay Palestinians to leave."
