The ATmosphere has multiple different kinds of servers, so focusing only on PDSs is very misleading. For example, the #Blacksky feed servers (which are hosted on infrastructure that Bluesky PBC doesn't run) have a couple million users.
Specifically with PDSs, they're not really the equivalent of ActivityPub instances; they're more equivalent to the role of a pod in ActivityPods. I'm not sure where you're getting that 12 million number -- the stats I've seen elsewhere is that there are currently about 6 million MAU and 38 million or so total users. And, Bluesky PBC distributes the users it hosts over multiple PDSs, that's not reflected in these statistics.
And, for many people the purpose of decentralization at the data storage level is to be able to move their data elsewhere. So at the data level, in a lot of ways the more interesting metric is how many people have their data on a PDS or instance where they can in principle move it to another one. In the fediverse this is basically people instances running Hubzilla or its descendents and anything supporting the Portable Objects FEP (ef61), so it's not zero but it's fairly small. In the ATmosphere this is (as far as I know) everybody.
You have 18,592 for the Fediverse, but toot.works reports that it federates with 26,885 others, jws.social federates with 10,876 others, and I'm guessing that the two don't have a 100% overlap. The more time goes by, the more that I think that "How many Fediverse instances exist?" is unknowable.
there are multiple more axes across which to measure decentralization for example most names on bluesky are controlled by a central naming service and bluesky the corporate entity can effectively censor you from the network through control of this naming service. did:web is offered as an alternative decentralized naming system, but the last time I tried to use it it still required me to interface with their servers to create my account in a way that their servers recognized. after you create the did:web name you're free, but I don't actually understand why I have to use their servers to be recognized.

¿Alguien conoce un programa que permita ver galerías de fotos para linux?
Básicamente lo que quiero es poder ver el contenido de un directorio como en la vista de iconos de nemo con el tamaño maximizado pero en vez de que el zoom se bloquee en el 400% del tamaño pueda aumentar más.
Esto me permitiría ver de un golpe de vista si un montón de fotos que tengo están nítidas o no.

He probado los programas que me habéis dicho y o eran muy complicados o no tenían modo galería o el modo galería no hacía suficiente zoom o cuando hacía zoom no me dejaba ver más de una imagen.
Al final he hecho un apaño arrastrando cientos de fotos a PDF Arranger (que como no está pensado para esto le cuesta un poco) y ampliando lo suficiente para ver de tres en tres.
Igual es un poco overkill para lo que buscas pero has probado Rawtherapee? Es el programa que utilizo para procesar RAW y te deja las galerías con bastante zoom, no tienen que ser necesariamente raws. Está en los repos oficiales

Batucadas, familias y mensajes de “estoy justo donde acaba de llegar un velero”. Este es el ambiente que ha llenado durante la mañana de este sábado el Moll de la Fusta, en el Puerto de Barcelona. Centenares de personas se han acercado a los muelles en la última de las tres jornadas de celebración y actos organizados para despedir a la Global Sumud Flotilla. Esta es la embarcación más grande que se ha organizado en las últimas décadas y espera ser la primera que pueda llegar a Gaza para parar el bloqueo de ayuda humanitaria.
Las embarcaciones, con unas 400 personas voluntarias a bordo, han zarpado desde Barcelona a las 15:30 horas, arropados por el griterío de la multitud, que les ha despedido entre vítores y cánticos. En ese momento el Sirius, La Pinya o la Isobella of Cowes, han levado anclas e izado la bandera palestina, listos para cruzar el mediterráneo. Estos son solo tres de los 37 barcos que se han unido a la iniciativa de la Global Sumud Flotilla, que acabará de completarse con los barcos que se les unan en los puertos de Túnez, Catania, Sicilia y Grecia el 4 de setiembre.
Barcas a remo con los colores de la bandera palestina, bengalas, batucadas, aplausos y gritos de “viva viva viva la flotilla” en un pasillo que despedía tripulantes de todo el mundo. En el Moll de la Fusta las banderas han seguido ondenado hasta que los barcos han abandonado el puerto uno a uno. La gente, a pesar de estar bajo un sol de justicia que ha quemado a más de un asistente, ha seguido mostrando su apoyo hasta el momento final cuando el grupo conpuesto de padres, madre, hijas e hijos han embarcado a su misión. Ha habido llantos de algunos familiares, como el hijo de Ada Colau al despedirse, pero ninguna duda en su misión.
“Lo que está pasando en Palestina no es un desastre natural”, ha explicado el activista y coordinador de la flotilla Saif AbuKeshek. “A propósito, se está impidiendo que entre a la ayuda humanitaria, forzando la muerte de personas mientras que la ayuda humanitaria está a escasos kilómetros, en la frontera, esperando poder entrar”.
AbuKeshek, así como el resto de participantes de la flotilla, no ignoran el peligro que supone embarcarse, pero aseguran que no es algo que les impida seguir adelante. “Estudiamos todos los escenarios que pueden ocurrir. Lo que tenemos muy claro es que ninguno de los riesgos que podamos enfrentar es comparable con los riesgos que enfrentan los palestinos”, ha apuntado. “Da igual el resultado, da igual lo que pueda hacer Israel, pero nuestro papel, nuestra responsabilidad, es volver una vez más, cada vez más fuertes”, ha remachado.
Durante todo el fin de semana se han organizado actividades y talleres para despedir a la flotilla, como la creación de decenas de barcos de papel con los colores de la bandera palestina
El tripulante y activista brasileño Thiago Ávila es optimista y ha asegurado que esta va a ser la primera flotilla que consiga romper el bloqueo. La diferencia, dice, es que esta vez se ha conseguido organizar un apoyo en tierra “esencial”. Además, en este intento se han juntado diversas personalidades públicas y políticos que han mostrado su apoyo o que incluso se embarcarán en la flotilla.
Jordi Évole, Luis Tosar, Vicky Luengo, Carolina Yuste, Juan Diego Botto o Carlos Bardem son algunos de las personas que han mostrado su apoyo a la iniciativa. A ellos se les han sumado otros como Eduard Fernández o Greta Thunberg, así como políticos de diversas formaciones que han decidido tomar rumbo a Gaza. Los organizadores esperan que la visibilidad que estos nombres han dado a la flotilla les proteja. “Actúan de una forma diferente cuando hay personas que pueden tener un perfil diferente”, ha asegurado AbuKeshek a elDiario.es.
Aun así, ha querido destacar que todos los voluntarios son iguales y usan aquello que tienen al alcance para ayudar. “Si hay personas que pueden tener más influencia, ayudarán más a que este espacio pueda crecer y se pueda construir mejor”, ha dicho. Y es que esta iniciativa ha reunido a voluntarios de todo el estado y también internacionales, de más de 44 países.
Pero el trabajo de tierra no ha acabado. Lo confirman Flor y Rubén, dos de los asistentes de la Liga Internacional Socialista, sujetando un pañuelo palestino y una sandía de peluche. Ellos han venido a dar apoyo a su compañera Cele Fierro, una de las tripulantes.Afirmann que “se necesita ayuda de los que están en los barcos y de los que están en tierra” y que “va a haber mucho por hacer estos días cuando zarpe la flotilla hacia Túnez y luego hacia Gaza, difundiendo lo que sucede y defendiendo a toda la gente de cualquier agresión que pueda llevar a cabo el estado de Israel”.

Ist extrem leicht ständig immer wieder bei jeder sich bietenden Gelegenheit an das Schicksal der von der Hamas entführten Geiseln zu erinnern. Aber es ist halt keine Form von Moral dies zu tun, wenn man gleichzeitig kein Wort des Protests über den Genozid in Gaza verliert.
Es ist leicht an das Schicksal der Geiseln zu erinnern und sich dafür einzusetzen, während man sagt dass man Netanyahu doof findet. Es ist billig.
Leute wie Netanyahu sagen doch auch dass sie sich für das Schicksal der Geiseln einsetzen. Netanyahu persönlich doof zu finden macht keinen großen Unterschied, wenn man gleichzeitig weigert ein Ende des Genozids in Gaza und ein Ende der Besatzung zu fördern. Es bedeutet ein im Stich lassen der Geiseln.
Diejenigen die sich wirklich für die von der Hamas entführten Geiseln einsetzen wollten - aus einer moralischen Haltung heraus - die hätten sich zusammen mit den Menschen auf die Straße stellen sollen, die für ein Ende der Besatzung, des Kriegs, des Genozids fordern und gemeinsam mit ihnen zu fordern das alle Geiseln frei kommen, egal wer sie hält, statt die Demonstranten zu dämonisieren.
Krieg, Besatzung, Genozid wären ja so nicht führbar, durchhaltbar bzw umsetzbar, wenn die Leute links, in der Mitte in Israel, wie Deutschland und USA eine klare moralische Haltung einnehmen würden, anstatt sich mit den Rechten zu verbünden, um ihre Einseitigkeit bewahren zu können.
