Still, I guess it's not much different than posting directly to said blog, and also: not being able to edit a post.
/me wonders if the official WordPress ActivityPub/Mastodon support is as bad?
We had libre/free open source BBSes which had message editing functionality in the 1980s, Citadel BBSes' networking even had "anti-vortexing" (their nomenclature for message deduplication). Heck, The Mother of All Demos showed off collaborative networked editing in the 1960s. That kind of functionality, to me, is fundamental. To WordPress in 2023: apparently it's still unimplemented?
Maybe someday I won't be phased by how regressive some popularized technology is, but today is not that day.

Und ich finde es durchaus interessant, wie verschieden Weihnachten gefeiert wird, bzw. wie unterschiedlich "unsere" Ausgestaltung assimiliert wird. Grell-buntes wäre auch nicht meins, aber ein farbwechselnder USB-Tannenbaum steht bei mir am Rechner, der ist toll. 😅

Ansonsten... ja, ich finde das Verschiedene grundsätzlich auch spannend, auch wenn ich es für mich nicht übernehmen mag. Und ungeachtet aller ... anderen gegenwärtigen Rahmenbedingungen mag ich "meine Russen" hier im Block irgendwie, und auch ihre teilweise hart ans Kitschige grenzende Ästhetik (die bei "Lichte" betrachtet auch gar nicht so sehr viel mehr kitschig als manch amerikanisierte Weihnachtstradition ist).
Ich fürchte, wir haben schon zu viele Schwibbögen... 🙈
Aber den Gedanken finde ich witzig! Ich war dieser Tage rein von der einen Idee her schon von diesem Teil angetan. Aber es ist dann doch nicht ganz heimlig genug für die gute Stube. 😁

Furchtbar traurig machte mich vor Jahren einen Bericht einer (ich meine) Polin, die in Schneeberg immer ganz stolz "ihr" Weihnachten aufgebaut hat - darunter viele Erbstücke, viele bunte Lichter. Das war voll ihr Ding, und das wollte sie nach außen hin zeigen. Im Bericht kamen auch Anwohner zu Wort.
Am Tag nach dem TV-Beitrag hat sie wohl alles wieder weggeräumt. Wenn die Leute hier es nicht schön finden und stört, will ich sie nicht belästigen...
