À L’ORIGINE DES « DROITS DES PERSONNES TRANS » : UN PASTEUR PRO-PÉDOPHILIE N. #Casaux En explorant l’histoire du mouvement #trans, on découvre des histoires étonnantes. Joseph #Doucé (1945–1990) était un psychologue et pasteur baptiste d'origine belge, installé à Paris. Une figure discrète mais singulière et efficace des luttes pour les « droits » de diverses communautés dans les années 1980 (je place « droits » entre guillemets pour des raisons que vous comprendrez bientôt). Homosexuel assumé, il fonda le Centre du Christ Libérateur ( #CCL) en #1976, dédié à l’accueil des homosexuels, travestis, transsexuels, prostitué·es, sadomasochistes et même des pédophiles.
Enlevé en 1990 dans des circonstances obscures, le pasteur Doucé fut retrouvé assassiné en forêt de Rambouillet. L'enquête n’aboutit jamais, mais des soupçons sérieux planent sur les services de l’État. Son assassinat reste une énigme glaçante, à la croisée du pouvoir, de la sexualité et de la violence d’État – pouvoir, violence et sexualité des hommes. D’aucuns considèrent que le Pasteur était peut-être mêlé à des réseaux de pédophilie impliquant des hommes d’État haut placés, qu’il en savait trop.
Parce que le pasteur Doucé ne se contentait pas d’accueillir des pédophiles. Il militait en faveur d’une dépénalisation de la #pédophilie. En 1982, il fut même exclu de l’obédience maçonnique de la Grande Loge de France pour « agissements et propagandes en faveur de la pédophilie ». Au travers de ses activités, il se rapprocha même de divers groupes d’extrême droite. Comme le rapporte France Inter, il participa « à la diffusion d’une revue pédophile dirigée par un militant néonazi ». Glorieux, n’est-ce pas ?
Il se trouve que c’est en bonne partie à ce pasteur, qui fut aussi membre de la Commission des libertés au Sénat, que l’on doit les tout premiers textes juridiques relatifs au mouvement trans. Le 12 septembre 1989, au Parlement européen, à la suite d’un long travail de lobbying, il parvint à faire voter une « Résolution sur la discrimination dont sont victimes les transsexuels », suivie, quelques semaines plus tard, le 29 septembre 1989, par la recommandation n°1117 du Conseil de l’Europe « relative à la condition des transsexuels ».
Le nom de la « Résolution sur la discrimination dont sont victimes les transsexuels » est très trompeur. Cette résolution, comme la recommandation suivante, vise à interdire les traitements et comportements injustes à l’égard des personnes qui prétendent appartenir au sexe auquel elles n’appartiennent pas. Ce point mérite déjà discussion. Mais, et c’est même la majeure partie de son contenu, elle vise surtout à encourager les États à autoriser le changement de la mention du sexe à l’état civil pour les personnes qui se disent « trans » (transsexuelles à l’époque), et à rembourser leurs traitements chirurgicaux, médicaux et autres.
Les « personnes transsexuelles » que le pasteur Doucé recevait dans son centre étaient très majoritairement des hommes se disant femmes. L’accueil des transsexuels était d’ailleurs organisé par un de ces hommes. Les revendications de « droits pour les personnes transsexuelles », les prétendus « droits des trans », sont originellement et essentiellement des exigences formulées par des hommes (se disant femmes), qui souhaitent non seulement que la société avalise leur mensonge, leur usurpation d’identité (que l’État les autorise à changer la mention de leur sexe dans leurs documents d’identité), mais en outre que la collectivité paie pour leurs traitements.
Dans la résolution et la recommandation impulsées par le pasteur Doucé, plusieurs choses illustrent nettement le caractère à la fois irrationnel et sexiste des revendications transidentitaires :
Dans la résolution du 12 septembre 1989, il est fait mention d’un « changement du rôle sexuel ». Être un homme ou une femme est donc assimilé à un « rôle sexuel ». Une vision typiquement réactionnaire que ne renieraient pas les pires conservateurs de droite.
Dans la recommandation 1117, il est fait mention d’un « sexe psychique ». Comme si être un homme ou une femme relevait d’un certain type de psychologie. Une telle vision, qui constitue une forme exemplaire d’essentialisme, réduit les femmes à un ensemble de traits psychologiques, à un type de personnalité. Une autre formule l’exprime on ne peut plus clairement qui explique qu’autoriser le changement de la mention du sexe à l’état civil pour la « personne transsexuelle » consiste à lui « donner » une « identité sexuelle qui constitue d'ailleurs un élément déterminant de sa personnalité ». Être un homme ou une femme, c’est une affaire de personnalité. Les hommes aiment la bagarre, le bleu, le foot, la bière et dominer. Les femmes sont dociles, serviables, empathiques, discrètes, portées sur le rose, le maquillage, la cuisine et les tâches ménagères. Tels sont les « rôles sexuels » et les caractéristiques du « sexe psychique » que cette résolution, cette recommandation et les revendications trans en général avalisent. Là encore, les conservateurs les plus misogynes de droite approuveraient certainement.
Le rapport ayant mené à la recommandation 1117, rédigé par un homme italien, affirme que le « sexe psychologique » peut être « en opposition » avec le sexe « anatomique, biologique ou génétique », c’est-à-dire que l’esprit peut être « en opposition » avec le corps, inadapté au corps, et qu’il s’agit donc, pour les individus atteints d’une telle condition, « de faire coïncider le “psyché” avec le “physis” », autrement dit de conformer le corps à l’esprit en altérant médicalement et chirurgicalement le premier. En plus de ce que je souligne dans les deux points précédents, on retrouve ici les idées transidentitaires désormais courantes selon lesquelles le corps et l’esprit feraient deux, et selon lesquelles un esprit pourrait se retrouver « dans le mauvais corps ». Un tissu d’absurdités sexistes.
En 1989, au moment où la résolution et la recommandation susmentionnées sont votées, plus de 80% des députés européens sont des hommes. Dans divers pays de l’union européenne, les femmes sont encore lourdement discriminées, défavorisées, à plusieurs égards (elles le sont encore aujourd’hui, mais à l’époque, c’était bien pire : en Irlande, par exemple, l’avortement était encore interdit). De l’indécence abjecte du mouvement trans. Alors même que les droits – des droits parfaitement légitimes, élémentaires – des femmes ne sont pas assurés, des hommes exigent des autorités et de la collectivité qu’on les autorise à être socialement et juridiquement considérés comme de vraies femmes et qu’on leur rembourse leurs gros implants mammaires et leurs traitements hormonaux.
Le lobbying du pasteur Doucé et de ses collègues a ouvert la voie au mouvement trans contemporain.
En France, depuis 1992 et un jugement de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme (faisant suite à une plainte déposée par un homme se disant femme et souhaitant être considéré comme une femme au regard de la loi), le terme « femme » a été partiellement déconnecté de la matérialité du sexe féminin dans le droit. Dans un arrêt rendu le 25 mars 1992, 21 juges de la Cour européenne (parmi lesquels seulement 2 femmes) ont estimé, à 15 voix contre 6, qu’une « femme » (à l’état civil), ça pouvait être un homme qui altère son apparence physique, qui adopte un certain « rôle social » (sous-entendu, de femme), qui présente un certain « psychisme » et qui revêt « un habillement féminin » (le jugement parle d’un « sexe psychosocial », variante de l’idée d’un « sexe psychique » ou « psychologique », et encore un parfait oxymore, comme une matérialité immatérielle ; le « sexe psychosocial », qui n’a rien à voir avec le sexe puisque l’on ne parle pas de biologie, relève plutôt de ce que les féministes appellent le « genre », et qu’elles combattent).
Autrement dit, il a été jugé qu’une femme, ça pouvait être un homme qui s’efforce de correspondre aux stéréotypes (sexistes) culturellement imposés aux femmes dans le but de les inférioriser et de les exploiter. PROGRÈS MAJEUR, n’est-ce pas ? Selon la gauche médiatique, institutionnelle, bourgeoise, en France et dans de nombreux pays : oui. (Mais cette « gauche » est un pathétique travestissement de ce que devrait être la gauche).
Le jugement de 1992 de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme est venu contredire une série de jugements de la Cour de cassation, établis entre 1975 et 1990, qui avaient refusé le changement de la mention du sexe à l’état civil à plusieurs personnes se disant « transsexuels ». Dans un arrêt du 21 mai 1990, la première chambre civile de la Cour de cassation considérait par exemple que :
« Le #transsexualisme, même lorsqu’il est médicalement reconnu, ne peut s’analyser en un véritable changement de sexe, le transsexuel, bien qu’ayant perdu certains caractères de son sexe d’origine, n’ayant pas pour autant acquis ceux du sexe opposé. […] l’article 8, alinéa 1er, de la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme, qui dispose que toute personne a droit au respect de sa vie privée et familiale, n’impose pas d’attribuer au transsexuel un sexe qui n’est pas en réalité le sien. »
Cet arrêt était et demeure parfaitement logique sur le plan scientifique.
Malheureusement, entre-temps, le lobbying des hommes excités par l’idée de se prétendre femme et/ou adeptes du #transhumanisme a fait des dégâts. Et désormais, la réalité matérielle et biologique du #sexe se confond avec le concept de « genre » (et/ou avec divers concepts encore plus ouvertement absurdes, sexistes et essentialistes, comme le « sexe psychologique », le « sexe psychosocial » ou le « sexe psychique »).
Pour celles et ceux qui ne suivent pas, on résume. Les féministes s’efforcent depuis des années de faire comprendre au monde qu’une femme, c’est une personne humaine de sexe féminin susceptible d’avoir tout type de personnalité, de traits psychologiques, d’aptitudes, d’intérêts, de goûts, de préférences. Que contrairement à ce que prétendent les stéréotypes établis par la société patriarcale, une femme peut être vive, indolente, rebelle, serviable, courageuse, couarde, portée sur le foot, sur la danse, sur la boxe ou sur l’équitation. Que le sexe ne détermine ni un type de personnalité, ni un rôle social.
Les idéologues trans soutiennent, à l’inverse, qu’être une femme c’est présenter un certain type de personnalité (une personnalité prétendument « féminine »), c’est présenter certains traits psychologiques (des traits psychologiques prétendument « féminins »), c’est avoir une affinité pour certaines activités (des activités prétendument « féminines »), etc. En parfaite opposition aux revendications féministes, les idéologues trans soutiennent que le type de personnalité que l’on a détermine notre sexe (« sexe psychologique ») et qu’il convient dès lors d’adapter le sexe corporel au sexe mental. Pour le dire clairement : c’est n’importe quoi.
Et au nom de ces idées irrationnelles et réactionnaires, on mutile des gens – on encourage des gens à se mutiler eux-mêmes. On détourne l’agenda féministe, les objectifs des organisations consacrées aux lesbiennes et aux homosexuels. Et au nom de la sacralité inquestionnable des idées trans, on ostracise, on censure, on excommunie. Et on donne des billes à la droite et à l’extrême droite, qui ont alors beau jeu de dénoncer l’irrationalité de la gauche.

Israelis not only murder journalists, attack journalistic institutions and block journalists from entering the #Gaza Strip, they also persecute Palestinian civilians who speak with journalists. It’s so damning that I’ve seen people expressing astonishment that it made it past the BBC’s censors, but really, what’s to censor? It’s an hour of Israelis telling a video camera what Israelis think in their own words. One of the best ways to tell the truth about the real Israel is to just point a camera at these freaks and let them tell it themselves. I come from the small-town version of this. People would like you to think that it's all these perfect families living comfortably, but there IS a trailer-park.

Meanwhile, signs of poverty, like say... peeling paint you can't afford to fix on your house...are punished and fined. Ask me how I, one of a family of 8, whose main breadwinner was underemployed for years, know that.

As I work in the CNC machine industry, I hear the AI term thrown around by the customer, and because of the new political landscape, they are emboldened enough to tell me why. "They hate all of their employees." They want Co-Pilot to take over enough of Office 365 so that they can automate office workers that they forced back to the office, so their hatred of them intensifies. They want to remove factory workers for complaining too much about the supply chain, and instead just let AI figure out and make whatever garbage material they feed it work. I'm about ready to exit the robot/CNC world because no one wants to think for themselves anymore. and instead pour money into an artificial God that will cleanse their company of all of their problems.

Agree with everything you said, personally my biggest dislike as a researcher in the AI field is the distortion they are making. Today AI means GenAI, it doesn’t mean ML or a Chess Engine or a character in a game. It’s been reduced to these tech bro apps… and don’t even get me started on people who claim “I work with AI” and it’s the chatGPT api.

I agree with your concerns and I'd like to add that the outsized environmental impact of this technology is also a big factor to me. If it takes so much power that companies are buying old nuclear power plants (and other non-nuclear ones), it's certainly accelerating the ongoing climate crisis into becoming a full blown climate catastrophe.
Anything "AI" branded is honestly such a turn-off for me because of the many many ethical questions it has. You mentioned a few, but it's also worth mentioning the drastic environmental impacts and psychological damage it is doing to poor, underpaid "moderators" used to "fine-tune" those models to not allow generation of questionable content.
I was in a AI Workshop mandated by my company the other day and it was kind of sad to see people from marketing or PR departments dejectedly go "Yeah, this is basically something I would write" when they asked ChatGPT to write a customer communication.
What they fail to see is the many downsides of this. While it sounds good, it ready like any old marketing text - because it is. People will get wise to "generative speak" similar to how they've become wise to "business speak" or "advertisement speak" - And will instinctively reject it. I think the same is also true for art.
What I see again and again is people going "Wow, it's so good!" when they try those models, but once they try doing specific things or start asking "Wait, wouldn't that actually be easier without an LLM?" - it often and very quickly falls apart.

It’s not that they do not understand, it’s that they cannot understand. It wouldn’t be in the interest of these companies to understand, so their ways of gathering knowledge are designed so that they cannot get knowledge they don’t want. a lot of good thoughts. It’s true that they don’t understand, but I think fundamentally the important bit is that they do not care to understand. The AI community is incredibly patronizing. They know in their own heads that it’s good, you just haven’t figured it out yet, or are too small minded. in their mind, You’re holding back progress. This is where that “disdain for humanity” is coming from. That you disagree is to them a personality flaw, not a rationally constructed concern. They only ask about these concerns to string you along. A great many of them think that if you would just vibe to it and stop being such a fearmongering peasant for five minutes, you’d understand.
Using the “academic” meaning of bullshit where one does not care for truth or lies, they are only asking for concerns because they are trying to figure out whatever bullshit argument they need to play enact in order to move the ball forward. This is not rational. They always want to leave out the ethical objections and plug their ears on why people object to it, yet are insistent on adding to everything despite objections.
You know, thinking about this there's one more thing that wasn't really mentioned, the simple sunk cost fallacy.
They've spent billions on something that's unreliable and mostly useless. But they can't admit that because they know if they do people will be even more resistant to it. And the more people resist it, the more likely it is they''ll have to eat the cost of the billions they've dumped into it.
I'd throw in one more area of concern: the dumbing down of humanity. Over the past 1 1/2 years we've seen multiple studies come out that show the effects of AI use on individual's creativity and problem solving skills. It's not pretty.
Use it or lose it applies to our brains the same way it applies to everything else. People are lazy and often happy to accept mediocre answers if it saves effort. The issue is that they don't even notice the point at which they become unable to identify an answer as being sub-par, as they no longer have the skill to create a better one themselves.
