We have tended to forget since 1945 that Europe’s habit of producing more history than it can consume, and its endless historical, cultural and territorial disputes that generated this history, have not actually gone away, but have just been repressed and concealed. Like some traumatic childhood memory they are still there, waiting to resurface.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Saturday that federal, state and local officials are investigating the outbreak linked to foods produced by Fresh & Ready Foods LLC of San Fernando, California. The FDA says the 10 people who fell ill were in California and Nevada, and required hospitalization.
The agency said the products were sold in Arizona, California, Nevada and Washington at locations including retailers and food service points of sale, including hospitals, hotels, convenience stores, airports and by airlines.
Federal officials said they started investigating the recent outbreak last year but didn’t have enough evidence to identify a source of the infections. They said the investigation was reopened in April when FDA investigators found listeria in samples collected from Fresh & Ready Foods that matched the strain from the outbreak.
So why pick the GSA rather than somewhere more “woke”, somewhere more traditionally associated with the so-called deep state? Well, because this is where one goes if one wants to asset-strip the federal government. Shortly after DOGE moved into the GSA, and started firing pretty much everyone, the GSA posted an extraordinary list of buildings they had supposedly identified as “non-critical”. This list (which was later revised, and then taken down entirely) actually included close to half of all properties owned by the federal government, including buildings like the FBI headquarters and the Department of Justice building. The GSA added that it was now open to “creative solutions” to go along with these sales, including the idea of leasing back these properties once they had been sold.

Der deutsche Außenminister war in #Israel. Seine Äußerungen zum Krieg Israels in #Gaza waren zum Teil wirklich hochproblematisch. In einigen davon offene Aufrufe zum Bruch internationalen Rechts, bzw. Verteidigung von Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit, wie etwa dem Verhungern lassen von Menschen.
Während Deutschland sich am ICJ noch damit verteidigt habe, dass man sich eingeschränkt habe bzgl. Waffenlieferungen und keine Kriegswaffen mehr liefere (oder zeitweise keine geliefert habe - noch vor dem AO des ICJ), scheint Wadephul nun dieses Feigenblatt komplett abgeräumt zu haben. Man wolle "alles liefern, was notwendig sei, um die Existenz Israels zu sichern und sich gegen den Terror zur verteidigen"
Wadephul bzw. das AA suggeriert hier auch Einigkeit mit der israelischen Regierung bzgl. Vertreibung und Besetzung

Das scheint sich aber vor allem eine Botschaft in Richtung der deutschen und internationalen Öffentlichkeit zu sein.
Wie bestellt gab es gleich auch die passenden Worte von Netanyahu dazu, im Ausschuss für Auswärtige Angelegenheiten und Sicherheit, völlig konträr zu den Äußerungen von Wadephul.

MK Limor Son Har Melech von Otzma Yehudit antwortete Netanjahu: „Bringen Sie die Juden aus den Vereinigten Staaten, auf diese Weise schlagen wir zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe.“<<

Wadephul sagte auf der Pressekonferenz: >>Seit 70 Tagen kommt keine humanitäre Hilfe mehr nach Gaza. [...] wir wissen, dass die Hamas die humanitäre Hilfe missbraucht und den Menschen vorenthält. Deswegen ist es verständlich, dass die israelische Regierung nach Wegen sucht, dies der Hamas aus der Hand zu schlagen<<
Das ist natürlich ziemlich perfide. Hamas vorzuwerfen, die Hilfe zu missbrauchen und der Bevölkerung vorzuenthalten, die gar nicht ins Land kommen kann, weil der Staat Israel seit 70 Tagen jeden Zugang zu Hilfslieferungen incluse Nahrung komplett blockiert hat. Wadephul rechtfertigt hier also klar genozidale Kriegsverbrechen. Vorenthalten von Nahrung trifft immer ganz besonders die vulnerabelsten Menschen direkt - wir gerade an all den völlig ausgezehrten Bildern von Kindern aus Gaza sehen.
Die israelische Regierung "sucht" ja nicht "nach Wegen" "der Hamas etwas aus den Händen zu schlagen", sondern behindert aktiv zahlreiche Hilfsorganisationen die Nahrung und anderen Hilsfgüter zu den Menschen zu bringen, die vor der Grenze bereit steht. Die Logik läuft auf "Wenn wir der Bevölkerung nicht komplett die Nahrung vorenthalten, und sie aushungern, dann könnte Hamas der Bevölkerung Nahrung vorenthalten" hinaus. Projektion des eigenen Verhaltens auf Hamas.
In der Realität gibts relativ wenig Hinweise darauf, dass Hamas im größeren Stil Hilfsgüter abgezweigt hätte. Plünderungen gab es natürlich. Von verschiedenen Gruppen. Zum Teil auch von Islamisten, die in Gegnerschaft zur Hamas stehen. Zum Teil wurden Plündernde auch durch das israelische Militär geschützt.
Nach Auskunft von Hilfsorganisation gingen nach Beginn des 'Waffenstillstands' und der Zufuhr von Nahrung Ereignisse mit Plünderung auch zeitweise komplett auf Null zurück.
Nach den Genfer Konventionen ist eine Besatzungsmacht dazu verpflichtet, die Versorgung der besetzten Bevölkerung mit Hilfsgütern sicherzustellen. Wenn sie das selbst nicht schaffen, müssen sie dies in voller Kooperation mit Hilfsorganisationen bzw. den zuständigen UN-Behörden tun. Über dieses Thema gab es vor zwei Wochen ausführliche Beratungen vor dem Internationalen Gerichtshof. Deutschland glänzte dort mit Abwesenheit.
Netanyahu äußerte sich im Ausschus auch zu den Plänen bzgl. der Nahrungsverteilung. Das Modell, nachdem ein Vertreter einer Familie ein Paket mit Nahrung sich abholen könnte in einem speziellen Zentrum in gewissen Zeitabständen scheint nun auch nicht mehr das präferierte Modell zu sein.
Konkret geht es wohl darum, dass die Menschen die dort Nahrung erhalten, nicht wieder zurück kehren sollen!

Wenn die israelische Armee also tatsächlich das hier von Netanyahu angesprochene durchzieht, dann handelt es sich bei dieser Nahrungsmittel-Abgabe definitv nicht um eine Versorgung der Bevölkerung i.S. der Genfer Konventionen, sondern um eine Waffe die dazu dienen soll Menschen aus den Bereichen wo sie jetzt sind in bestimmte Lager zu bringen, aus denen sie nicht mehr entkommen können, mit der Möglichkeit beliebig Menschen verhaften zu können. Verhungern oder Lager.
In Gaza werden also weiter Menschen mit dem Willen der israelischen Regierung und des Militärs verhungern.
Vielleicht werden einige Nahrung erhalten, wenn sie sich besser kontrollieren lassen - mit dem Ziel sie einfacher dauerhaft vertreiben zu können.
Nach den aktuellen Besuchen und Worten von Wadephul und Steinmeier kann man klar sagen - dort sterben Menschen auch mit dem Willen, und der Unterstützung des deutschen Staats.

Angesichts dem was gerade in Gaza - mit deutscher Zustimmung passiert - ist das breitgetretene Geschrei über den Beschluss eine andere Definition zu wählen wirklich absurd.

Während das Gekreische dass die Deligierten der Linken statt der IHRA lieber die JDA nutzen möchten, so riesig ist, dass man es kaum überhören kann, war man - auch in der Linken - verdammt leise, wenn es darum ging das Töten von Zivilisten, das Zerstören von zivilen Einrichtungen und das verhungern lassen von Kindern als "Recht auf Selbstverteidigung" definierte. Dieses Bild, in der neue Aussenminister Deutschlands Netanyahu die Hand schüttelt darf es eigentlich gar nicht geben. Wohl auch das erste mal, das Vertreter eines der Gründungsstaaten des ICC eines von diesem gesuchten Kriegsverbrecher so gezielt Kontakt aufnimmt. Nach Europarecht und ICC sind Kontakte mit gesuchten Kriegsverbrechern übrigens aufs unvermeidbare zu beschränken. Wohlgemerkt u.a. das Kriegsverbrechen, was seit über 70 Tagen offizizielle Politik des Staats Israel ist.
Pünktlich zum Staatsbesuch des israelischen Präsidenten in Deutschland gibts auch neue Zahlen bzgl der vom Staat #Israel erzeugten Hungersnot in #Gaza. Die Zahlen basieren auf Daten aus April.
Die Lage ist katastrophal. Danach wird die Lage in ganz Gaza als Krise oder schlechter eingestuft. 24% als Notfall 22% als Katastrophal 70.500 Kinder, und 17.000 Schwangere und Stillende sind oder werden von aktut Mangelernährt. Bei 20% schwerste Formen, potentiell tödlich.
2 Personen bzw. 4 Kinder, die pro 10.000 Personen pro Tag an Hunger versterben.
Wir sind also in Bereichen angekommen, in denen eine riesige Zahl von Menschen pro Tag verstirbt, oder kurz davor ist an Hunger zu versterben.
Wie gesagt, die Zahlen sind von April. Die Situation hat sich mittlerweile nochmals dramatisch verschärft, da allen Hilfsorganisationen die Nahrung ausgegangen ist.
Auch die erste Bundespressekonferenz beschäftigt sich mit der deutschen Haltung zur Situation in Israel / Gaza.
Die Sprecher, insbesondere der neue Sprecher des Kanzlers Kornelius, zeigen sich noch einmal deutlich mehr abgekoppelt von der Realität dort.
Aussagen der israelischen Regierung will die deutsche Regierung nicht zur Kenntnis nehmen, es sei denn, sie haben diese Aussagen direkt zur deutschen Regierung gesagt.

Zum Kontrast Aussagen, die deutsche Regierung nicht wahrnehmen will: Netanyahu von gestern: „Wir werden Gaza übernehmen und für immer die Sicherheitskontrolle behalten... Innerhalb weniger Tage werden in Gaza Dinge geschehen. Dinge, die Sie noch nie zuvor gesehen haben, werden geschehen... Es wird in Gaza kein islamisches Kalifat geben, weder von der Hamas noch von der Palästinensischen Autonomiebehörde... Es wurde die Entscheidung getroffen, bis zum Äußersten zu gehen.“ (Israel_hayom)
Also in anbetracht solcher Meldungen kann man es anzweifeln und stark davon ausgehen das eben nicht nach Wegen gesucht wird sondern eher das Wege gesucht werden um die Bevölkerung auszulöschen.
Die Uno warnt im Gazakrieg vor dem Hungertod Tausender Zivilisten. Nun ist die Lage eskaliert, als eine Menschenmenge auf Hilfsgüter wartete. Israelische Soldaten eröffneten das Feuer.
@bifouba Korrekt. Aus Sicht des israelischen Militärs sind alle Hamas Mitglieder, die in irgendeiner Verbindung zum Staatswesen in Gaza stehen, direkt indirekt. Manchmal auch alle, die an einem bestimmten Ort sind. Für Teile israelischer Politik und Öffentlichkeit sind irgendwie alle Palästinenser Terroristen.
In der deutschen Presse wirds dann noch verwirrender, weil immer irgenwie suggeriert wird, dass wenn das israelische Militär Hamas sagt, bewaffnete Kämpfer gemeint sind.
Es gibt viele Leute welche das Bekenntnis der Partei Die Linke zur JDA (Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism) als führende Definition von Antisemitismus kritisieren. Jedoch Ich muss sagen: Ich stehe voll und ganz hinter dieser Entscheidung.
Doch warum? Was gibt es an der IHRA Definition zu kritisieren?
Im Oktober letztes Jahr kritisierte Ich bereits den Zentralrat der Juden, weil er die Pläne der Ampel-Regierung die Waffenlieferungen an Israel an das Einhalten von Völkerrecht zu koppeln, als „Zumutung” beschrieb.
Ich finde das Einhalten von Völkerrecht, oder die Forderung dies zu tun, in keinem Kontext eine Zumutung.
Weniger als zwei Monate später wurde mit der „Antisemitismus-Resolution” (beschlossen unter Beifall und Klatschen der AfD) gerechtfertigt, das Waffenlieferungen an Israel legitim seien, so berichtet die LTO.
In beiden Fällen wird auf der Basis der IHRA Definition von Antisemitismus etwas gerechtfertigt was mit Antisemitismus nichts zu tun hat: Waffenlieferungen. Darüber hinaus auch noch Waffenlieferungen mit denen Flüchtlingslager bombardiert wurden, in Syrien oder den Libanon einmarschiert wurde, sowie Siedlerkolonialismus und ein Genozid begangen wird.
Wir leben in einer Zeit in der die Springer-Presse & AfD die Debatte rundum Antisemitismus stark vereinnahmt haben. Laut dem „Manifest für Deutschland” welches die BILD einst verfasste, müsste man im Namen des Kampfes gegen den Antisemitismus Muslime aus Deutschland abschieben, um gegen den „importierten Antisemitismus” (eine ausgedachte AfD Rhetorik) vorzugehen. Die Bild schreibt also das wofür sie eh immer bereits stand, doch nun im Namen des Kampfes gegen den Antisemitismus?
Zeitgleich veröffentlicht ein Ex-Sprecher der IDF (Israelisches Militär) eine Liste der „Top 10 Antisemiten Deutschlands” worunter sich kein Rechtsextremist, sondern ausschließlich palästinasolidarische, Linke, und oder progressive Menschen, darunter auch Journalisten, befinden. [Quelle: Twitter].
Anfang dieses Jahres lobte der Antisemitismusbeauftragte der Bundesregierung, welcher selbst auf Basis der IHRA Definition von Antisemitismus agiert, die Auschlöschungspläne Gazas von Donald Trump. Ich verstehe nicht wie jemand im Namen des Kampfes gegen den Antisemitismus einen Faschisten wie Trump gutheißen, und zeitgleich für die ethnische Säuberung von über zwei Millionen Menschen plädieren kann.
Da der Fokus dieser Debatte, trotz 20% AfD und dem Aufkommen der neuen Rechten, fast ausschließlich auf den existierenden israelbezogenen Antisemitismus, aber auch auf Israelkritik welcher als Antisemitismus benannt wird, liegt, muss sich etwas verändern.
Wir müssen den Schutz jüdischen Lebens wieder in den Vordergrund stellen, und das Wort „Antisemitismus” nicht durch solch eine Inflationäre Verwendung um Abschiebungen oder Waffenlieferungen zu rechtfertigen weichwaschen.
Unter solchen Umständen braucht es eine Definition von Antisemitismus welche Israelkritik und israelbezogenen Antisemitismus klar definieren kann. Aufgrund der vorher genannten Beispiele sehe Ich die IHRA Definition dafür nicht geeignet. Ist die JDA perfekt? Nein, meine große Kritik an der JDA bezieht sich auf die nicht ausgiebig benannte historische Komponente von Antisemitismus, welcher bekanntlich lange vor der NS-Zeit ein Phänomen war. Dabei vertieft sich die IHRA.
Ohne sie also als perfekte Lösung zu bezeichnen, sehe Ich daher mit Vorbehalt die Bekenntnis zur JDA als einen Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
Als Ergänzung dazu: einer der Autoren der IHRA sagt mittlerweile ganz klar, dass so wie diese aktuell angewendet wird - als repressives Instrument der Rechten - die IHRA-Definition dem Kampf gegen den Antisemitismus eher behindert als dienlich ist. Und gerade der Punkt dass diese Definition vor allem von der AfD, von Trump, von Orban und Netanyahu befürwortet wird sollte uns schon sehr skeptisch machen.
Es ist ja auch bezeichnend, dass die meisten derer die die JDA verdammen, und die IHRA als quasi gottgegeben darstellen idR auch die sind, die absolut nicht dazu in der Lage sind auch nur wenige kritische Worte über die in den palästinensischen Gebieten stattfindenden Verbrechen der israelischen Regierung zu sagen, trotz all der Zerstörung, all den Toten und denen die dort gerade verhungern.

That is my biggest issue with this deal, beyond the emoluments violation, beyond the obvious bribery and corruption.
