Is it just me, or does anyone else get chills listening to Queen's legendary performance at the Live Aid concert on July 13, 1985, around 6:45 PM (BST)? It's one of those rare moments where the music is so powerful that you can’t help but turn it up to the max! I mean, it’s the only time my neighbors never complain about the noise - when my stereo amplifier hits 200W and the doors and windows are wide open! The energy and emotion in Freddie's voice are just unmatched. How does that performance make you feel? Do you have any favorite moments from that set?

Enver Hoxha: In the present revolutionary situations, the Marxist-Leninist parties throughout the world must fight continuously to strengthen their ranks and their Marxist-Leninist unity, to link themselves closely with the masses of people and with one another, because the communist and workers' movement throughout the world is one of the fundamental factors frustrating the plans concocted against the people by both the Soviet revisionists and the US imperialists, who from day to day are strengthening their fascist dictatorships in order to dominate the world. These Marxist-Leninist parties must increase their vigilance, too. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

  • Otto Kuusinen: As long as the working class wages only an economic struggle, the bourgeoisie does not see in that any great danger for itself; but when the working class organises politically, i.e., creates a political party which expresses its will as a class, the bourgeoisie begins seriously to fear for its rule. That is why reaction deals its main blows against the political party of the working class. At the same time, trying to undermine the party from within, capitalist propaganda endeavours to persuade the workers that they can do without their own party. One of the manifestations of bourgeois influence on the working class is the anarchist and anarcho-syndicalist denial of the leading role of a political party.

Donald Trump just made it harder to go to federal prison.

On Friday, President Trump issued a new executive order with a remarkably broad scope and deep implications, under the title “Fighting Overcriminalization in Federal Regulations.” It starts with plain, clear, direct language:

The Code of Federal Regulations contains over 48,000 sections, stretching over 175,000 pages — far more than any citizen can possibly read, let alone fully understand. Worse, many carry potential criminal penalties for violations. The situation has become so dire that no one — likely including those charged with enforcing our criminal laws at the Department of Justice — knows how many separate criminal offenses are contained in the Code of Federal Regulations, with at least one source estimating hundreds of thousands of such crimes. Many of these regulatory crimes are “strict liability” offenses, meaning that citizens need not have a guilty mental state to be convicted of a crime.

This status quo is absurd and unjust. It allows the executive branch to write the law, in addition to executing it. That situation can lend itself to abuse and weaponization by providing Government officials tools to target unwitting individuals. It privileges large corporations, which can afford to hire expensive legal teams to navigate complex regulatory schemes and fence out new market entrants, over average Americans.

Pahom’a “Sabah güneşin doğuşundan batışına kadar katettiğin bütün yerler senin fakat güneş batmadan yeniden başladığın yere dönmen lazım.” der.

That's not right. 3 to 30 is a 1000% increase, yes, but 8 to 10 is not a 2% increase, it's a 125% because 10 is 125% of 8, just like 30 is 1000% of 3.

Either the two increases are 2% and 27%, or they're 125% and 1000%, they can't be 1000% and 2% if you calculate them the same way.

This person should maybe not be calling others bad at math...

Developing Character Through Taekwondo for Kids Singapore Programs

Developing Character Through Taekwondo for Kids Singapore Programs

In today's technology-dominated world, parents are increasingly seeking activities that build essential life skills in their children. Taekwondo class Singapore has emerged as a powerful discipline that accomplishes this goal effectively. At locations like Linear Green @ Bedok and Marine Drive Gardens, Taekwondo for kids Singapore programs develop not just physical strength but also crucial character traits through structured training that emphasizes discipline and respect. OP Academy offers specialized classes that cultivate these qualities in a nurturing yet disciplined environment.

I. The Structured Foundation of Character Development

Taekwondo training follows a methodical approach that organizes techniques and values in progressive levels. This structured system ensures children master fundamental skills before advancing to more complex techniques. At premier martial arts Singapore academies like OP Academy, children learn to focus intently on instructions, respect their training process, and adhere to consistent practice routines. Every session begins and ends with a formal bow, continually reinforcing that Taekwondo extends beyond physical training to include mental conditioning.

The belt advancement system further reinforces discipline by providing children with concrete achievement targets. Each earned belt represents mastery of specific skills, teaching children that dedication, consistency, and patience lead to success. Instructors at locations near Yishun Sunshine closely monitor each student's progress, helping them develop disciplined mindsets as they work toward new challenges.

II. Cultivating Respect for Authority and Peers

Respect forms a cornerstone principle in Taekwondo class Singapore programs, evident in all interactions between students and instructors. Children learn from their first session to regard instructors as mentors deserving respect through both words and actions. This respect manifests in formal greetings, attentive listening, and precise following of instructions during training.

OP Academy instructors emphasize that respectful behavior extends beyond the training hall into all areas of life. Children understand that showing respect to teachers, coaches, parents, and other authority figures is essential in every endeavor. The habits formed in the structured Taekwondo environment transfer to daily interactions, helping children build positive relationships and reputations throughout their lives.

Building Self-Discipline Through Progressive Achievement

Taekwondo kids programs build self-discipline through consistent practice and gradual skill refinement. Children quickly discover that mastering techniques—whether a basic stance or complex kicking sequence—requires patience and repeated effort. This process teaches valuable lessons about perseverance that extend far beyond martial arts.

At quality academies near Linear Green Bedok, instructors set achievable goals that children work toward steadily. Through this process, students develop intrinsic motivation and experience the satisfaction that comes from persistent effort. This disciplined approach transfers naturally to academic pursuits and other activities, creating well-rounded individuals.

III. Developing Bully-Proof Children Through Mutual Respect

One of Taekwondo's most valuable contributions is teaching mutual respect among peers. In partner exercises and sparring sessions, children learn to work cooperatively and provide constructive feedback. These interactions always emphasize safety and respect, teaching children to view partners as collaborators rather than opponents.

The group activities at martial arts for kids Singapore programs help children understand boundaries, appreciate others' efforts, and develop healthy social dynamics. The camaraderie formed creates friendships based on mutual respect and trust, developing social skills that serve children throughout their lives while making them naturally bully-proof through authentic confidence.

IV. Enhancing Focus and Emotional Control

Taekwondo demands concentration through precise technique and controlled movements. Each block, strike, and stance requires careful coordination and attention to detail. With continued practice, children develop extended concentration abilities that benefit them in school and other activities.

At OP Academy locations from Marine Drive Gardens to Yishun Sunshine, instructors emphasize emotional control alongside physical discipline. Children learn to manage frustration and channel energy constructively, developing balanced approaches to challenges both in martial arts and everyday situations.

The journey through Taekwondo offers children invaluable lessons extending far beyond physical techniques. When taught with proper structure and guidance, Taekwondo creates confident, respectful individuals prepared for life's challenges. This character-building activity simultaneously promotes physical health while developing essential life skills for long-term success through discipline and respect in a supportive growth environment.

It destroyed the wealth of the more solid elements of German society: and left behind a moral and economic disequilibrium, a breeding ground for the disasters which have followed. Hitler is the foster child of the inflation.
  • Lenin: There is no trace of utopianism in Marx, in the sense that he made up or invented a 'new' society. No, he studied the birth of the new society out of the old, and the forms of transition from the latter to the former, as a natural-historical process. He examined the actual experience of a proletarian mass movement and tried to draw practical lessons from it.
  • Che Guevara: Many will call me an adventurer - and that I am, only one of a different sort: one of those who risks his skin to prove his platitudes.
  • Democritus: The first principles of the universe are atoms and empty space; everything else is merely thought to exist.
  • Bertolt Brecht: Lenin is enshrined In the large heart of the working class.

Super, super, super, super cool!!!!!! Ich hab es eben ausprobiert 😀

A few days ago my lovely kiddo (who inherited my game collecting habits 😂) happened to find two of these at a yard sale and snapped them up!

These are much cooler devices than I had initially thought they would be but they are not terribly intuitive.

Does anyone know where I can find a manual for these online? I cannot seem to find one.

Tagging @SuperSelena64 and @Robavince in hopes that one of them might know.
