19 Mayıs:
Güneş mi, Ateş mi?

Samsun ufkunda bir güneş doğdu, diyorlar.
Oysa Karadeniz’in dağlarında ölüm, kan, duman tütüyordu.
Bir millet doğdu diyorlar, bir başka millet
toprağından, dilinden, tarihinden siliniyordu.

Adına “kurtuluş” dediler,
ama kim için, kimden?
Yıkılan sadece bir imparatorluk muydu,
yoksa komşunun evi, kilisesi, mezarlarıymıy dı?

Bir elinde nutuk, ötekiyle susturulan çığlıklar…
Rum anaların çocukları Karadeniz’de boğuldu,
Sürgün yolları taş değil, kemik doluydu.

Ve şimdi…
Her 19 Mayıs’ta,

After more than a year of publicly vilifying anti-genocide and anti-war crimes protesters in the harshest terms possible, actively aiding the culprit, consistently voting against the pro-humanity majority and falsely legitimizing the atrocities as "proportionate right to defense" which literally is not a thing that exists,
yesterday the government of Sweden finally had enough of Netanyahu and gang's crimes against humanity and issued a public condemnation.

Today "Sweden seeks EU sanctions targeting 'individual Israeli ministers' [...] over Israel's treatment of civilian Palestinians in Gaza".

I don’t want a computer to pretend to “reason” when it literally can’t reason as well as my five year old—but it sounds sophisticated and smart, so it will trick people into thinking it can.

There are some features LLMs would probably be really good at and I don’t have anything against that, but the fact that the world’s largest corporations are all competing to out-market one another in this space means it’s largely all time-wasting nonsense.

Enver Hoxha: The Marxist-Leninists are not conservative and fanatical, as the revisionists and bourgeois charge. On the contrary, they are the most progressive people, resolute fighters against everything outdated and backward. They stand firmly on the positions of the new and fight with all their might for its victory. The revisionists and all the other opportunists who, as lackeys of the bourgeoisie, defend a lost cause, defend an obsolete order of oppression and exploitation, are conservative and reactionary. It is precisely this reactionary position which has plunged modern revisionism into a new crisis. The liberation of the consciousness of the proletariat and the peoples from the inhibiting influence of revisionism, the dissemination of Marxism-Leninism which points out the only correct course for the struggle and victory, is a primary task today in order to carry forward the revolutionary process in each country and on a world scale. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

At the same time, trying to undermine the party from within, capitalist propaganda endeavours to persuade the workers that they can do without their own party. Outstanding from Lammy. Impossible to tolerate the moral oblivion into which Netanyahu has dragged Israel.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy suspends UK-Israel trade negotiations and summons the Israeli ambassador over IDF actions in Gaza, which he says are "incompatible with the principles that underpin our bilateral relations" and an "affront to the values of the British people."

#Football / Are some European nations moving to ban Israeli sports teams?

As reported by Israeli right-wing populist Ynet, without disclosing sources, #Spain, Belgium and Scandinavian countries reportedly organizing to suspend #Israel from international sports competitions, similar to Russia/Belarus sanctions. Movement targets #FIFA, #UEFA, #FIBA and #Olympic federations following Spanish PM Sánchez calling Israel an "apartheid state" and French President Macron suggesting EU-Israel trade agreement review.

If implemented, Israeli teams would be barred from competing under national flag internationally. No confirmation from sports bodies yet.

Diyarbakır 5 No’lu Cezaevi, tasfiye planının 1 numaralı merkeziydi.

Most other platforming games at something to the table or do something different. Sonic has you run into enemies. Kirby has you swallow them and copy their abilities.

SuperTux IS a clone. Even the enemies in the game function the same as the ones from Mario, just with different appearances. It's not a bad game per se. I played it before and enjoyed it. But it feels like most of these libre games don't bring anything new to the table and there is no reason to play them unless you are committed to only using 100% free/libre software.

My main point was to bring up that you don't need to only play FOSS games to avoid the bad business practices of the modern AAA industry.

Hmm, true, you could just not play games too. Playing proprietary (I don't mean assets, just code) games is just wrong. So many better things you could be doing with your time. I'm far from anal when it comes software freedom, but I also don't make excuses for gaming companies. I was mostly OK with what ID did back in the day for example with many games like doom with the release of source code, but licensed the art assets. If you wanted the full game you paid for a copy. The software though you could install for free and the source for that matter.

NASA is demonstrating new microgravity fluids technologies to enable advanced “no-moving-parts” plant-watering methods aboard spacecraft. Crop production in microgravity will be important to provide whole food nutrition, dietary variety, and psychological benefits to astronauts exploring deep space. Unfortunately, even the simplest terrestrial plant watering methods face significant challenges when applied aboard spacecraft due to rogue […]

#supertux A project that teases you with a cryptocurrency donation link, but then won't actually take your crypto. 🙁 Coinbase supports 5 wallets no one has ever heard of. You apparently can't actually send crypto of any kind to the project. It might be time to just post some IDK Bitcoin, Monero, Dash, Bitcoin Cash, and whatever other actual crypto QR codes instead of relying on an evil intermediary like Coinbase. And yea, Coinbase is truly evil.. They've done everything they possibly can to undermine the use of cryptocurrency as a currency. With their "wallet" they batch payments so if you try and pay a bill it doesn't send it till a while after the button is hit resulting in no payment received by the merchant. You meanwhile are stuck having lost the crypto, look stupid, AND probably will end up having to pay in some form of dirty fiat (government money, of which the benefit is your enabling governments to drop bombs on women and children overseas).

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is facing fierce backlash from conservatives after downplaying the chilling July 13th assassination attempt on President Donald J. Trump at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally — and none other than Trump’s former spokesperson, Liz Harrington, is leading the charge.

Trump's full response to Walmart CFO John Rainey's warning was: "Walmart should STOP trying to blame Tariffs as the reason for raising prices throughout the chain. Walmart made BILLIONS OF DOLLARS last year, far more than expected. Between Walmart and China they should, as is said, 'EAT THE TARIFFS,' and not charge valued customers ANYTHING. I’ll be watching, and so will your customers!!!"
