La souche NB.1.8.1 du Covid-19 a été identifiée sur le territoire français pour la première fois comme l'a appris BFMTV du Centre national de référence de Lyon en charge des variants émergents.
Le nombre de cas a été multiplié par 30 en dix semaines à Hong Kong. Il a augmenté de 30% en une seule semaine à Singapour. Les variants NB.1.8 et dans une moindre mesure LF.7 (tous deux descendants de JN.1) sont dominants. Ils restent pour l’instant minoritaires en Europe, mais ont un très fort potentiel de croissance.

Le nombre de cas a été multiplié par 30 en dix semaines à Hong Kong. Il a augmenté de 30% en une seule semaine à Singapour. Les variants NB.1.8 et dans une moindre mesure LF.7 (tous deux descendants de JN.1) sont dominants. Ils restent pour l’instant minoritaires en Europe, mais ont un très fort potentiel de croissance.

Il y a eu de très très grosses vagues de chaleur récemment en Asie avec parfois plus de 45°C dans certains pays (en lien avec le réchauffement climatique) et que les gens sont beaucoup restés en intérieur pour profiter de la climatisation (en plus du fait que ces températures sont une fragilité ajoutée, problèmes d’accès à l’eau, à la nourriture, à des températures vivables).
