There's another more commonly used word they could have chosen, though. Something "fa" is short for, you know?

Not to get into politics but the whole point of Linux is about being open and used by anyone from anywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised to see various parts of the Linux kernel, drivers, etc developed/funded by people from Israel, Russia, and many many other countries.

Edit: the point of this message, this type of approach to your OS choice will ultimately result in throwing your PC in the trash if you dig deep enough.

There is a vast difference between a community driven project like Debian taking small contributions from people who happen to be in Israel/incorporating some things from RedHat after lots of vetting and diluting and Fedora being a direct upstream testing ground for RedHat who are the primary contributors and maintainers.

No, this type of approach will not lead to you throwing your PC in the trash, it will simply lead to you being more aware of your software and how it functions, what it contributes to, and what contributes to it. Which is a good thing imo.

For example, I use LMDE. Yes, there are most definitely contributions from redhat in my machine. the difference is between

RedHat engineers -> Fedora.
And
RedHat engineers -> Fedora -> Upstream Project acceptance-> Debian -> LMDE.

I'm not saying you need to stop using Fedora. But everyone draws a line somewhere and I'm simply making my knowledge on this known for people who's line may be in a similar place to mine.

I don't know exactly why writing from the 1700s and 1800s was markedly superior in quality than that of modern books. But I think this might be a clue. (Below: Pictures of my three volume 1796 copy of, "History of the Reign of Emperor Charles the Fifth - With a View of the Progress of Society in Europe from the Subversion of the Roman Empire, to the Beginning of the 16th Century" by William Robertson).

The enlightenment thinkers in the Universities would start their books by addressing an audience to the King, who would be the patron of the arts and sciences in the various principalities of Europe. This sets the tone for the work in terms of quality and gravity, and gives the author an incentive to be forthcoming and concise with the fruits of their labors.

The monarchs would actually read these books and would bestow honors upon the most worthy performances. There was no time for bullshit, or trying to dazzle other intellectuals with fruitless abstraction. Your audience was the king!

There has been remarkably little resistance from the American establishment since the start of the Trump presidency. Congress has remained exceptionally inactive and quiet, while Trump governs mostly through executive order. It almost seems as though the American establishment recognizes the fact that this country cannot move any further forward, at this juncture, without conceding the rise of a powerful executive to bring a degree of coherence and order to the nation.

Insofar as universities are concerned, Trump is striking the very highest collegiate institutions of the nation. Once the Ivy Leagues have been brought to heel, the rest will follow. So far 2.2 billion in endowments are frozen at Harvard, no international students are permitted to enter or return, and now the remaining $450 million in grants are being cancelled.

How is President Trump doing this? A power argument from the Federalist Society claims that the Constitution gave exclusive power to the congress to pass bills authorizing the raising of taxes and the expenditure of treasure, however, it is the discretion, prerogative and privilege of the executive branch, to choose whether and where the funds are actually disbursed. The Trump Administration is using this constitution prerogative to govern in a much more arbitrary and lively fashion than has been the custom of previous presidents.

This will be an unstoppable precedent, and a salutary transition away from unchecked oligarchy, and towards the normalization of a strong and independent executive power structure. A feat which many did not think possible within the constraints of the current constitution. Once the executive has gathered sufficient power, the Oligarchy will not be able to turn things back around.

Excerpt from the Article:

" 'Going forward, we also encourage your agency to seek alternative vendors for future services where you had previously considered Harvard,' reads the letter, signed by Josh Gruenbaum, the commissioner of the GSA's Federal Acquisition Service. "

The other obvious reason that congress has not been vigorously attacking Trump is that the state of Israel is facing an existential crisis. It seems as though Trump has made a "deal with the devil" so to speak, essentially telling Israel, if you let me have my way with things, I won't pull the plug on Israel. Hence the full might of the Israel Lobby is being used to restrain congress from attacking Trump, and any democrats who do step out of line and attempt to impeach him are quickly brought to heel.

Nowadays, a suit and tie is almost universally, unconsciously recognized as the uniform of someone who deceives and manipulates for a living. With some exceptions, the wearing of a suit is actually harmful to a person's reputation, hence they have gone out of fashion in wider society.

Some of the exceptions for a positive image associated with a suit would be the Russian KGB or the American Secret Service, where calculated manners and tactics are generally socially acceptable to the public at large.

From the gilded era, all the way up to FDR's new deal in 1933, western populations tried to emulate the elites by wearing suits in their day to day lives, at least when going to town. The respect for wealth and capital has decreased since then, to such an extent, that one is laughed at for wearing formal clothing, even while rich.

Formal wear is supposed to express a few different things, and can express some things more than another, depending on it's features. On the one hand there is the expression of personal sophistication and wealth, and yet on the other hand formal wear may express a sense of civic duty, respect paid, or a formal role a person carries in a society.

Even as personal ostentation has gone out of fashion, a person taking their duties seriously has not. Hence, formal wear, moving forward should strive to emphasize a person's role in a society rather than their personal qualities.

This begs the question, if a person wishes to leave the house in something more presentable than jeans and a t-shirt, which is the most common thing to wear in America, what sort of wardrobe is befitting? What kind of formal wear expresses the conscientious citizen and/or warrior of the republic rather than ostentatious wealth and/or sophistication?

I was just trying to hear out the classes and races of the Final Fantasy MMO through a simple YouTube video. (Summoner, Warrior, etc.)

I was subjugated to learning that there's a race known as "Lalafell"; that they are described as looking child-like (look like My Precious Moments dolls); that they're not allowed in "ERP" zones; what ERP stands for.

I want to re-emphasize this was supposed to be a YouTube jump into classes and races. :why:

“The only tech regulation that will truly make us all better off is a regulation that shatters tech power – not one that seeks to harness it. That's what getting rid of anticircumvention would do: it would give us – internet users – the right to defend ourselves against exploitation, manipulation and abuse. It would let us decide how the devices, products and services we use work. It wouldn't just make it illegal for tech giants to use our technology to attack us – it would make it impossible for them to do so, because our technology would take orders from us, not them.”

“Repealing anticircumvention laws in Canada and around the world is the best path forward. Ironically, Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" has created the conditions for every country to liberate itself from America's grotesque tech policies – and to export our tools of technological liberation to our American friends, who were the first victims of US Big Tech.”

Agreed.

The Digital Backbone: How Structured Cabling and UPS Systems Transform Singapore Business Operations

Singapore's rapidly evolving business landscape demands infrastructure solutions that provide both reliability and scalability. Modern organizations depend on sophisticated structured cabling system architecture and robust uninterruptible power supply Singapore technologies to maintain a competitive advantage in an increasingly connected marketplace. These complementary systems create the foundation for seamless operations and comprehensive data protection.

The Digital Backbone: How Structured Cabling and UPS Systems Transform Singapore Business Operations

I. Creating the Connectivity Foundation Through Structured Cabling

The concept of what is structured cabling encompasses far more than simple cable management. It represents a comprehensive approach to creating an organized, standardized infrastructure that supports all communication and data transfer requirements within modern business environments. Professional IT structured cabling serves as the fundamental framework upon which all technological systems depend for reliable performance, together with an uninterruptible power supply Singapore.

1. Optimizing Network Performance

Structure cabling implementation provides measurable performance improvements through systematic organization and strategic design. This infrastructure approach eliminates signal interference and crosstalk issues that commonly affect poorly planned networks, resulting in significantly faster data transfer speeds and enhanced overall network reliability. The organized nature of professional cabling design creates clear pathways that support both current operational requirements and future expansion needs.

2. Future-Proofing Business Infrastructure

The long-term value of professional IT cabling becomes evident through its scalability characteristics. Organizations with properly designed, structured cabling can accommodate business growth without major infrastructure overhauls. Adding new workstations, integrating additional systems, or expanding network capabilities becomes a straightforward process that leverages existing infrastructure investments rather than requiring complete system replacement.

II. Essential Power Continuity Through UPS Technology

Power reliability represents a critical concern for Singapore businesses, where even brief outages can result in significant operational disruption and financial losses. Singapore uninterruptible power supply systems provide essential protection against these risks by delivering immediate backup power during utility failures, ensuring that critical operations continue without interruption.

1. Seamless Power Transition Capabilities

Uninterruptible power supply in Singapore solutions function as comprehensive protection systems that address multiple aspects of power-related risks. These sophisticated technologies detect power anomalies instantly and provide seamless transition to battery operation, preventing the momentary interruptions that can cause system crashes, data corruption, and equipment damage in sensitive technological environments.

2. Advanced Power Quality Management

The protective capabilities of uninterruptible power supplies extend beyond simple backup power provision to include surge protection and power conditioning. These systems filter incoming power to eliminate fluctuations and spikes that could otherwise damage sensitive equipment or cause data integrity issues. This comprehensive protection ensures that connected systems receive clean, consistent power regardless of utility conditions.

III. Integrated Infrastructure for Complete Business Protection

The combination of structured cabling and UPS technologies creates synergistic protection that addresses both connectivity and power continuity requirements simultaneously. Professional structured cabling ensures efficient power distribution throughout the facility, while UPS systems provide the backup power necessary to maintain operations during utility outages. This integrated approach creates comprehensive infrastructure resilience.

1. Specialized Application Requirements

This integration proves particularly valuable for specialized applications such as access control system Singapore implementations, where both network connectivity and power continuity are essential for maintaining security functionality during emergencies. The combination of reliable cabling infrastructure and backup power ensures that critical security systems remain operational regardless of external conditions.

2. Multi-System Support Capabilities

Modern business environments increasingly require integrated solutions that support diverse technological requirements simultaneously. From network infrastructure to security systems, professional IT structured cabling combined with reliable power protection creates the foundation for comprehensive operational capability that adapts to changing business needs.

IV. Implementation Strategies for Singapore Organizations

Successful deployment of integrated cabling and UPS solutions requires careful assessment of organizational requirements and strategic planning for both current and future needs. This includes consideration of various facility types and operational requirements, from traditional commercial spaces to specialized developments such as Faber Residence projects that demand sophisticated infrastructure integration.

Organizations must partner with experienced providers who understand the complexities of designing systems that accommodate both structured cabling and power protection requirements. Professional implementation ensures that these technologies work together effectively, creating infrastructure that provides reliable performance, scalability, and comprehensive protection for critical business operations.

The strategic investment in quality structured cabling and UPS systems represents a fundamental commitment to operational excellence and business continuity. In Singapore's competitive business environment, these technologies provide the reliable foundation necessary for sustained success, ensuring seamless connectivity and comprehensive protection that enables organizations to focus on core business objectives rather than infrastructure concerns.
