Honour to the Combative Memory of Snizana Paraskevaidou

On the 3rd of May 2025, at 5 am in the morning, Snizana Paraskevaidou lost her life because of the premature detonation of an explosive device she was placing outside a branch of the National Bank of Greece in Thessaloniki. The tragic death of this comrade lead to a widespread media terror-lust and so far, two arrests and the search of the cell of imprisoned anarchist comrade Fotis Tziotzis. We recognise and remember Snizana as a fighter and a heroine who died in battle, whose name and life is not forgotten.

In the underbelly of Thessaloniki, life is a brutal struggle. It was for Snizana who came from a Georgian background that emanated from the working-class districts of the city, that emanates the everyday war that we all face there, to climb out of the poverty of the streets. She had the courage to make the fear change sides against the state, against the cops and the wealthy.

Our memories of her are of a female comrade with strength who we met when she was supporting the comrades in courts and in prisons or the moments on the barricades where she emboldened all of us. She was there in Exarcheia rioting until we dropped exhausted in countless battles over a decade. One moment we will always remember is her alongside us all armed to the teeth on the roof of the Thessaloniki university for another 6th December.

It was no surprise to us when she was imprisoned for possession of a kalashnikov. She knew how to do the essential, how to take the brutality of life and weaponise it. She had the ability to see with open eyes, and she always had time for others, she always cared for fellow comrades. Snizana always had an ear for the next moment of attack, which was directed by her rage against this existent system. An insumountable rage that never compromises, that never snitches, that goes face-to-face with authority with a dagger gripped in the teeth. Even if she fell in the act, she will live on in us.

We didn’t see her for some years. We parted two ways on those streets where we met but we will never let her be forgotten because the insurrection continues. She has inspired us with the same rage to continue it.

For the immediate attack against capitalism, the state and all forms of domination.

Ok, when you're wrong, you're wrong. And I was completely wrong about GNOME and touchscreens. In my previous video, I blasted GNOME for being barely usable with touchscreens, because, well, it was, in my experience.

Turns out, I didn't go deep enough. This was all Ubuntu's fault.

GNOME

I went with Fedora 41 and its very default version of GNOME. On Fedora, I had tiling working by just dragging windows to the edges, something that Ubuntu didn't have, likely due to their own tiling extension they added, that doesn't work well.

I also could long press on elements of the desktop or inside of apps, and I got a stable right click menu that didn't disappear after I lifted my finger, again, something that didn't work inside Ubuntu, a-even with all the drivers installed.

I also could open menubars inside of apps that have them. What didn't work though, was the onscreen keyboard inside of KDE applications.

Another thing that didn't work on Ubuntu, but did in Fedora is swiping on the app grid, anywhere.

Plasma Mobile

I used Fedora's Plasma mobile spin for this one, and It's a very good experience.
You basically have a simple app grid, with mobile optimized applications. They all open full screen, and you have an Android like button row to handle all of that: the square to open a lit of all installed apps, that you can swipe up to dismiss and close, the plasma logo to go back to the app grid, and the close button / fold keyboard button.

Swiping from the top edge opens quick settings, that let you access a LOT of the settings you'd need, it's great, apart from the scrolling test inside each one which makes it look very busy. I guess it's aimed more at smartphones, and doesn't resize that well on bigger devices.

Default apps are perfectly sized and suited for touch, with clear interfaces, easy to use, big buttons, it's nice. Opening full size desktop apps also works well, with menubars even being resized and enlarged, although for large menus, it makes it a bit annoying to navigate.

Phosh

Phosh is installable on fedora, so that's what I did, and I could just pick it as an option from the login manager. I won't go over it for too long because it's basically just the GNOME shell with very small adaptations, and it's clearly not meant for laptops / big screens.
So, you start in an app grid, which is worse than GNOME's default grid, at least on a big screen, with less padding, and a background that isn't blurred or darkened, meaning legibility is very low. These apps don't open fullscreen, so you can still tile them, which is a plus, and they're mostly all just the default GNOME apps in there.

After that, swiping from the top edge of the screen brings the notifications and quick settings that occupy the entire screen, which is unnecessary àon a big screen like this, but coherent on a smartphone. These toggles can be expanded using the mobile settings app that phosh comes with.

Conclusion

So, first, mea maxima culpa for GNOME: it is indeed very good, it's just htat Ubuntu destroys its touch capabilities with changes they make to GNOME. Second, Plasma Mobile is really nice, even on 2 in 1s, although I still prefer the regular KDE Plasma for a 2 in 1?. Plasma mobile is excellent for tablets, and presumable for phones, if they mange to run it as competently and smoothly as this laptop does.
Finally, phosh is unsuitable IMO, for 2 in 1s, it just worse than the default vanilla GNOME, but it looks ok for smartphones.

George brings another slant to the recent drubbing of the French President and draws attention to the attendant's torn shoulder of her jacket together with what appears to be blood. He also mentions that Macron is taking a back seat on international matters as is Keir Starmer, who now realises his grave political situation.

Amd then the news turns to Merz and his stance on Taurus missiles. Margarita Simonyan made very plain that if Russia was struck by German missiles then #Germany would be struck in turn.

A Comparison Between A Trailer Concrete Pump And Concrete Boom Pump

Should you be choosing purchasing a new concrete pump, you might be choosing between two of the most popular ones. This will likely incorporate a trailer concrete pump along with a concrete boom pump. Every one of these does perform separate functions, yet each of them are vital on the performance of your own business(AIMIX productos). Learning how one can use them is the first task toward deciding on the best one to your business. This is an introduction to whether you ought to have a trailer concrete pump for any concrete boom pump for your company.

Exactly What Is A Trailer Concrete Pump?

Should you be consistently going to remote destinations to offer concrete, you really should select a trailer concrete pump. These are made to be portable, and therefore are often suited for small scale jobsites. These are very popular due to their size and high level of efficiency. These are typically simply machines that are capable of mixing concrete after which delivering it throughout the concrete pump which is set up on the system over at this website: aimixgrupo.com/tipos-de-bomba-….

What Exactly Is A Concrete Boom Pump?

These concrete pumps are slightly more expensive compared to a standard trailer concrete pump. They are also far more versatile. It possesses a long boom, one who is collapsible, you could fold up and convey together with you to several locations. The main reason for owning one(bomba de concreto estacionaria) is basically that you are operating on skyscrapers, or perhaps bridges, where delivering the concrete at different levels could be difficult. These truck mounted pumps will make use of the boom which could extend a distance of 100 feet or maybe more.

What One In The Event You Get For The Business?

In seeking the right one for your personal business, consider the particular jobs that you are doing regularly. Should you be simply going to jobsites where concrete will be poured just a couple feet away, the trailer concrete pump will be ideal. On the flip side, in case you are focusing on larger projects that need more concrete, especially when it must be delivered at a distance, the concrete boom pump will be the best product. Dependant on this assessment, and seeking at the own business, it will be easy to create the right choice.

Making The Best Choice

If you do want to buy another device for the construction business, one of these brilliant concrete pumps would suffice. If you find yourself focusing on smaller projects, a trailer concrete pump can be everything that you will need. For larger projects, you will need to consider getting the more pricey concrete boom pump that may be provided by many different manufacturers. By contacting these companies directly, you can get quotes regarding how much they are going to cost, and what the fee for shipping will probably be.

Now you be aware of distinction(cuanto cuesta una bomba de concreto nueva) between both of these portable concrete pumps, you may make the correct decision. For firms that work with larger projects, you have got to acquire the concrete boom pump if possible. If you are consistently working on projects which can be smaller, with a far shorter delivery, a trailer concrete pump would be the most suitable option.

Fediverse for teens

I have three teenage daughters who are currently not allowed on social media. But I want to give them some ability before they become adults. My eldest gave me a PowerPoint presentation on why she should be allowed on Snapchat, lol.

She made some good points. Her friend group has a group text and she wants to keep up with everyone but doesn’t want to get the ding notifications constantly.

Feels like a good opportunity for a Fediverse platform. Like a closed Mastodon/Pixelfed server and have some parental controls. Any projects out there?
