in reply to Curious Mind • • •Does your local instance know about that community? By pasting the whole URL into the search field, then subscribing to it? If nothing has been federated yet, the instance won't show it because it doesn't know about it.
There are site with tools to view federation status, but I don't know any off the top of my head.

Any given instance (A) knows about all communities that have at least one subscriber on A. Maybe it doesn't have any subscribers on the instance you're trying to see it from yet, in which case try subscribing to it by searching for its exact name.

I have used lemmy-federate.com on your behalf to federate it more broadly.
Regarding your issue, Lemmy can get a bit confused when you're logged into multiple instances from the same browser. Your best bet is to clear cache and try again.
Edit: Just read some of the other comments, lemmy.ml and some others do indeed de-federate us, which is why you won't see the community from there.
