my favorite tobaccos are aromatics! I like imparting vanilla room notes indoors or leaving behind a sweet scent that trails back to me when I am outside on a walk or smoking at a bar patio. I find it fun whenever I hear random people pick up on it and comment on the pleasant smell. I do collect a lot of rare tobacco tins but tbh I smoke cheap OTC blends like the original Captain Black more than I do my more expensive stuff.

my all time favorite blend is probably Molto Dolce from Sutliff Private Stock. I am sad that it is no longer produced by Sutliff and I only have one sealed tin left of it..

My go-to aromatic right now is MacBarren Classic loose cut. Next time I'll try searching for a tin of cake roll of them. I used to smoke Cellini (even have one cellared at the moment) but the smoke experience is meh...lots of relights and stuff. Might have been my inexperience however. For real tobacco taste I go to Capstan Navy Blue flake and recently I finally found the OG Italian pipe tobacco brand with Italian grown tobacco. Dirt cheap over the counter tobacco that you better smoke slowly but with a surprisingly pleasant smoke that gives you a real tobacco flavor reminiscent of Toscano cigars (same company so go figure).

Today marks two years since the Adriana trawler sank off the coast of Pylos, Greece. Over 600 people drowned, a shipwreck that remains one of the deadliest in the Mediterranean.
Just weeks ago, the Greek Naval Court confirmed what survivors and civil society have long known: Greek coast guard officials should bear a full investigation in their actions and responsibility for this shipwreck, a state crime that could have been prevented.

However, too often, states like Greece and Italy criminalize survivors. For this shipwreck, nine Egyptian men, the “Pylos 9, were scapegoated, accused of smuggling and causing the tragedy. They were imprisoned for nearly a year before finally being acquitted in May 2024.

Let us not be misguided by this attempt of throwing dust in public opinion’s eyes and putting the blame elsewhere rather than on the State and its bodies’ authority to act and prevent any loss of human life. These smuggling rings that governments claim to be against would not even exist if European states opened borders not just for the privileged but to anyone that decided to build a life elsewhere, even in their territories.

As the families of Pylos victims said recently in a message to the relatives of those who died in a deadly train crash in Greece:
“Let our tears become a sea of rage.”

نکاتی در مورد جنگ اخیر

صبح دیروز با خبر شوکه‌کنندهٔ جنگ بیدار شدیم. جنگ وحشتناک به ما هم رسید و به مجموعهٔ تنش‌های روزانهٔ ما زیرمجموعهٔ جنگ هم اضافه شد. مدتیست که به سختی کتاب «جنگ چهرهٔ زنانه ندارد» را می‌خوانم. کتابی که زندگی و نبرد زنان روسیه در جنگ جهانی دوم را از زبان بازماندگان روایت می‌کند. تقریباً تمام این روایات برای هر کسی بسیار بی‌رحمانه است. شرایطی بسیار شبیه به همین وضعیت ما، دولت توتالیتر در برابر هیولای نازی.

حجم اطلاعات و اخباری که منتشر می‌شود بسیار زیاد است و تحلیل این موارد هم به هیچ عنوان ساده نیست. متن پیش رو صرفاً نکاتیست که به خاطر من و صفورا رسید.

نگاه دوقطبی


جهان را در دوگانهٔ سیاه و سفید، خیر و شر، خوب و بد، ظالم و مظلوم و دوقطبی دیدن، یکی از مهلک‌ترین خطاهای شناختی انسان است. افرادی (مثل من) که با اسرائیل و جمهوری اسلامی مخالفت می‌کنند اغلب از هر دو طرف، یعنی طرفداران اسرائیل و جماعت ارزشی مورد هجوم قرار می‌گیرند. همگی در دوگانهٔ جمهوری اسلامی/اسرائیل خیر/شر گیر افتاده‌اند. اکنون این جنگ هم پهنهٔ نبرد خیر و شر است.

تهدید جهان: ایران یا اسرائیل؟


جمهوری اسلامی در داخل کشور و برای مردم خودش شر و ظالم است. این کاملاً درست است؛ اما در مقایسه با رژیم اسرائیل که هفتاد سال مشغول نسل‌کشی، جنایت، حمله به همسایه‌گان و ترویج نژادپرستی و فاشیسم است. شکی نیست که اسرائیل هیچ تفاوت ماهوی با آلمان نازی ندارد.

قیام مجدد فاشیسم از هر سمت و سویی


اسرائیل و هم‌دستانش به هر انتقادی برچسب یهودستیزی می‌زنند. این انتقادها ابداً یهودستیزی نیست و خودشان هم به خوبی می‌دانند. کسی نباید با نژاد یهود یا عرب مشکلی داشته باشد. اسرائیل از بدو تولد نژادگرا و فاشیست بوده و اصلاً براساس یک ایدهٔ نژادی تأسیس شده ایست. بسیاری در اسرائیل خود را قوم برگزیده می‌دانند. ایرانی و عرب برای «قوم برگزیده» تنها جانوانی هستند که در صورت لزوم خونشان مباح و جانشان حلال است.

سعی می‌کنم صدای مخالف را حذف نکنم؛ اما به محض دیدن محتوای حمایت از نازیسم فوراً بلاک کردم. بله، بعد از شروع جنگ تعداد زیادی از آشنایان را دیدم که مجیز هیتلر را می‌گفتند و این جملهٔ منتسب به او را پخش می‌کردند که می‌گفت: «همهٔ یهودیان را نکشتم تا بدانید چه جانوارنی هستند.» این هم خجالت‌آور و هیجانی است و هم از لحاظ تبلیغاتی می‌تواند تبعات بسیار سنگینی داشته باشد.

در انتظار منجی


عده‌ای هورا می‌کشند که اسرائیل آمده تا ما را نجات دهد و آزادیمان را تقدیممان کند‌. مغز ایرانشهری نمی‌پذیرد که اسرائیل به نوادگان کورش حمله کند. اکنون وقت آن رسیده که لطف کورش در دو هزار و پانصد سال پیش را جبران کنند. اغلب بدون ذره‌ای هزینه توقع دارند کسی بیاید و نجاتشان دهد. اسرائیل، امام زمانِ راست برانداز ایرانی است.

رضا پهلوی هم هرگز در اندازه‌ای نیست که بتواند برای ایرانیان ذره‌ای مفید باشد‌. این مرد حقیر دست‌بوس نتانیاهوست و از طرفی بارها برای رژیم جمهوری اسلامی بازی کرد. بی‌عرضه‌ای که هیچ دستاوردی جز تخریب خیزش زن، زندگی، آزادی و حمایت از نابودی ایران به دست دشمن خارجی نداشته و نخواهد داشت.

از طرفی هم سال‌هاست که عدهٔ دیگری مهدی گویان فقط در انتظارند تا کسی نجاتشان دهد.

خیانت در تاریخ ایران


از زمان حملهٔ اسکندر تا مرگ یزدگرد سوم به دست پیرمرد آسیاب‌بان این کشور بارها با خیانت خائنان به خاک نشسته. اکنون هم بسیارند کسانی که هواخواه اسکندر و خالد بن ولید معاصرند. هیچ‌کس جز ما نمی‌تواند ما را نجات بدهد. هیچ‌کس نمی‌خواهد.

نتانیاهو از مردم ایران درخواست خیزش دارد. دفعهٔ قبل که از شر حاکم داخلی به دشمن پناه بردیم، گویا ماجرای شهر انبار در زمان حملهٔ اعراب بود. بعد از هزار و چهارصد سال هنوز تاوان می‌دهیم.

بسیار دقت کنید که پروپاگاندا در دست کیست‌. فاشیسم منابع مالی زیادی دارد و برای پروپاگاندا و رسانه هم بسیار خوب خرج می‌کند.

منابع خبری‌تان رو گسترده‌تر کنید. جلوی هیجان را بگیرید.

پاکستان و بازیگران خلیج فارس


شنیدم که پاکستان (دارای بمب اتم) از ایران پشتیبانی کرده و این می‌تواند معادلات را تغییر اساسی بدهد. از طرفی کشورهای حاشیهٔ خلیج فارس هم به شدت از تنش در منطقه دوری می‌کنند.

مردم بی‌گناه هزینه می‌دهند. همین چند ساعت پیش به پالایشگاه‌ها حمله کردند. زیرساخت‌ها را می‌زنند و به مردم عادی رحمی ندارند.

@GM7077 yeah it could be. the last 30 hours has been a lot of sifting through media and trying to decide whats real and what isnt. but as far as im seeing the iranian air defense systems are doing very well. if they weren't caught off guard by insiders when this all started, they wouldt have been hit so bad.
iron dome on the other hand seems like a fucking joke.
