#Iran and #Israel are at war, with the #US already intimately involved and likely to become more so. Which of course means we’ll be spending the foreseeable future getting bashed in the face with lies from the most powerful people in the world.
The most immediately obvious of these is the Netanyahu-promoted narrative that Israel initiated this conflict because Iran was on the brink of developing a nuclear weapon. With absolutely no self-consciousness or sense of irony, the Israeli prime minister followed the attacks with a statement accusing Iran of “genocidal rhetoric” which it has backed up “with a program to develop nuclear weapons.” Israel, as we all know, has an unacknowledged nuclear arsenal, and its leaders are presently committing #genocide in #Gaza while spouting genocidal rhetoric.
“And if not stopped, Iran could produce a nuclear weapon in a very short time,” #Netanyahu claimed. “It could be a year. It could be within a few months — less than a year. This is a clear and present danger to Israel’s very survival.”
The western political/media class have been dutifully promoting this line and uncritically parroting Israel’s claim that its unprovoked attack on Iran was “preemptive”, but there is absolutely no evidence that any of this is true.
Benjamin Netanyahu has spent literally decades falsely claiming that Iran was a year or two away from developing a nuke, only to have the calendar prove him wrong with the passage of time over and over again.
US intelligence chief Tulsi #Gabbard testified just weeks ago that “The IC [Intelligence Community] continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003.”
As journalist Séamus Malekafzali recently noted on Twitter, one of the strongest arguments that Iran had not reversed its decision to refrain from obtaining nuclear weapons is that Iranian nuclear scientists have been publicly expressing frustration about the fact that their government won’t allow them to construct a nuke. They want to do it, but Tehran won’t let them.
US Secretary of Defense Pete #Hegseth helped pave the way for Netanyahu’s claims this past Wednesday when he told the Senate that “there have been plenty of indications” Iran has been “moving their way toward something that would look a lot like a #nuclear weapon.”
This claim by Hegseth was swiftly scooped up and promoted by warmongers like Tom Cotton who said that Hegseth had “confirmed that Iran’s terrorist regime is actively working towards a nuclear weapon.”
Cotton’s claim was then picked up by war pundit Mark #Levin, who has been personally lobbying #Trump to green light an attack on Iran, sarcastically quipping on Twitter, “So, SecDef Hegseth must by lying, too. Everyone’s lying except the isolationists, Koch-heads, Islamists, Chatsworth Qatarlson and their media propagandists.”
But let’s back up and look at what Hegseth actually said. He did not say “Iran is building a nuclear weapon.” He said “there have been plenty of indications” Iran has been “moving their way toward something that would look a lot like a nuclear weapon.”
If the US had intelligence that Iran was building a nuke, Hegseth would have just said so. But instead he performed this freakish verbal gymnastics stunt muttering about indications of something that might kinda sorta look like a nuclear weapon, which his fellow Iran hawks then falsely took and ran with as a positive assertion that Iran was building a nuke.
There are other lies being circulated to help market this war as well. As Moon of Alabama notes, the Washington Post’s odious war propagandist David Ignatius is pushing the narrative that Iran has been cultivating a relationship with de-facto al-Qaeda leader Saif al-Adel. The lie that Saddam Hussein was in league with al-Qaeda was used two decades ago to sell the invasion of Iraq.
At the same time, Trumpian pundits are currently circulating the narrative that the United States is full of Iranian “sleeper cells” who could activate at any moment and begin attacking Americans. The most egregious of these is Laura Loomer’s repeated claims that there are “millions” of such cells awaiting Iran’s orders to strike — possibly the single most bat shit insane claim I have ever seen anyone with any major platform make, since it would mean a very sizable percentage of the US population is actually a secret Iranian proxy army.
The fountain of lies is just getting started. There will be more. Believe nothing unless it is substantiated by mountains of evidence. These freaks have been caught lying to sell wars to the public far too many times for any of their claims to be taken on faith.

My go-to aromatic right now is MacBarren Classic loose cut. Next time I'll try searching for a tin of cake roll of them. I used to smoke Cellini (even have one cellared at the moment) but the smoke experience is meh...lots of relights and stuff. Might have been my inexperience however. For real tobacco taste I go to Capstan Navy Blue flake and recently I finally found the OG Italian pipe tobacco brand with Italian grown tobacco. Dirt cheap over the counter tobacco that you better smoke slowly but with a surprisingly pleasant smoke that gives you a real tobacco flavor reminiscent of Toscano cigars (same company so go figure).
I have a tin cellared called Hellenism, has this amazing real tobacco flavor but lovely room note. its a blend of Japanese grown tobacco I brought back from my stay in Tokyo

Today marks two years since the Adriana trawler sank off the coast of Pylos, Greece. Over 600 people drowned, a shipwreck that remains one of the deadliest in the Mediterranean. Just weeks ago, the Greek Naval Court confirmed what survivors and civil society have long known: Greek coast guard officials should bear a full investigation in their actions and responsibility for this shipwreck, a state crime that could have been prevented.
However, too often, states like Greece and Italy criminalize survivors. For this shipwreck, nine Egyptian men, the “Pylos 9, were scapegoated, accused of smuggling and causing the tragedy. They were imprisoned for nearly a year before finally being acquitted in May 2024.
Let us not be misguided by this attempt of throwing dust in public opinion’s eyes and putting the blame elsewhere rather than on the State and its bodies’ authority to act and prevent any loss of human life. These smuggling rings that governments claim to be against would not even exist if European states opened borders not just for the privileged but to anyone that decided to build a life elsewhere, even in their territories.

صبح دیروز با خبر شوکهکنندهٔ جنگ بیدار شدیم. جنگ وحشتناک به ما هم رسید و به مجموعهٔ تنشهای روزانهٔ ما زیرمجموعهٔ جنگ هم اضافه شد. مدتیست که به سختی کتاب «جنگ چهرهٔ زنانه ندارد» را میخوانم. کتابی که زندگی و نبرد زنان روسیه در جنگ جهانی دوم را از زبان بازماندگان روایت میکند. تقریباً تمام این روایات برای هر کسی بسیار بیرحمانه است. شرایطی بسیار شبیه به همین وضعیت ما، دولت توتالیتر در برابر هیولای نازی.

نگاه دوقطبی
جهان را در دوگانهٔ سیاه و سفید، خیر و شر، خوب و بد، ظالم و مظلوم و دوقطبی دیدن، یکی از مهلکترین خطاهای شناختی انسان است. افرادی (مثل من) که با اسرائیل و جمهوری اسلامی مخالفت میکنند اغلب از هر دو طرف، یعنی طرفداران اسرائیل و جماعت ارزشی مورد هجوم قرار میگیرند. همگی در دوگانهٔ جمهوری اسلامی/اسرائیل خیر/شر گیر افتادهاند. اکنون این جنگ هم پهنهٔ نبرد خیر و شر است.
تهدید جهان: ایران یا اسرائیل؟
جمهوری اسلامی در داخل کشور و برای مردم خودش شر و ظالم است. این کاملاً درست است؛ اما در مقایسه با رژیم اسرائیل که هفتاد سال مشغول نسلکشی، جنایت، حمله به همسایهگان و ترویج نژادپرستی و فاشیسم است. شکی نیست که اسرائیل هیچ تفاوت ماهوی با آلمان نازی ندارد.

اسرائیل و همدستانش به هر انتقادی برچسب یهودستیزی میزنند. این انتقادها ابداً یهودستیزی نیست و خودشان هم به خوبی میدانند. کسی نباید با نژاد یهود یا عرب مشکلی داشته باشد. اسرائیل از بدو تولد نژادگرا و فاشیست بوده و اصلاً براساس یک ایدهٔ نژادی تأسیس شده ایست. بسیاری در اسرائیل خود را قوم برگزیده میدانند. ایرانی و عرب برای «قوم برگزیده» تنها جانوانی هستند که در صورت لزوم خونشان مباح و جانشان حلال است.
سعی میکنم صدای مخالف را حذف نکنم؛ اما به محض دیدن محتوای حمایت از نازیسم فوراً بلاک کردم. بله، بعد از شروع جنگ تعداد زیادی از آشنایان را دیدم که مجیز هیتلر را میگفتند و این جملهٔ منتسب به او را پخش میکردند که میگفت: «همهٔ یهودیان را نکشتم تا بدانید چه جانوارنی هستند.» این هم خجالتآور و هیجانی است و هم از لحاظ تبلیغاتی میتواند تبعات بسیار سنگینی داشته باشد.

عدهای هورا میکشند که اسرائیل آمده تا ما را نجات دهد و آزادیمان را تقدیممان کند. مغز ایرانشهری نمیپذیرد که اسرائیل به نوادگان کورش حمله کند. اکنون وقت آن رسیده که لطف کورش در دو هزار و پانصد سال پیش را جبران کنند. اغلب بدون ذرهای هزینه توقع دارند کسی بیاید و نجاتشان دهد. اسرائیل، امام زمانِ راست برانداز ایرانی است.

خیانت در تاریخ ایران
از زمان حملهٔ اسکندر تا مرگ یزدگرد سوم به دست پیرمرد آسیاببان این کشور بارها با خیانت خائنان به خاک نشسته. اکنون هم بسیارند کسانی که هواخواه اسکندر و خالد بن ولید معاصرند. هیچکس جز ما نمیتواند ما را نجات بدهد. هیچکس نمیخواهد.
نتانیاهو از مردم ایران درخواست خیزش دارد. دفعهٔ قبل که از شر حاکم داخلی به دشمن پناه بردیم، گویا ماجرای شهر انبار در زمان حملهٔ اعراب بود. بعد از هزار و چهارصد سال هنوز تاوان میدهیم.
ریشهٔ خیانتهای امروز چیست؟ چرا اسرائیل در دل ایران اینقدر هواخواه و مرید دارد؟ حکومتی که مردمش را برنجاند و از دست بدهد مقصر اصلی است.

اکنون بازار اخبار جعلی داغ است. بهتر است خورهٔ خبر نباشیم و با دیدن سوتیهای منابع خبری آنها را دنبال نکنیم.
بسیار دقت کنید که پروپاگاندا در دست کیست. فاشیسم منابع مالی زیادی دارد و برای پروپاگاندا و رسانه هم بسیار خوب خرج میکند.
منابع خبریتان رو گستردهتر کنید. جلوی هیجان را بگیرید.
پاکستان و بازیگران خلیج فارس
شنیدم که پاکستان (دارای بمب اتم) از ایران پشتیبانی کرده و این میتواند معادلات را تغییر اساسی بدهد. از طرفی کشورهای حاشیهٔ خلیج فارس هم به شدت از تنش در منطقه دوری میکنند.
مردم بیگناه هزینه میدهند. همین چند ساعت پیش به پالایشگاهها حمله کردند. زیرساختها را میزنند و به مردم عادی رحمی ندارند.
