Placed them both in /tmp/cadvisor/ and ran docker compose up. All well and good, got some metrics to feed Grafana and all would seem jippity jippity.
Next day I notice Prometheus is off line. Hmm, check everything out. Logs complaining of a missing prometheus.yml. On a hunch I recreated the above prometheus.yml and placed it back in /tmp/cadvisor/, restart Prometheus, and it fires right up no runs, no drips, no errors. Before I uploaded the new prometheus.yml, I notice that there is a directory now named prometheus.yml in /tmp/cadvisor/, which is empty. Deleted it.
Next day, same scenario. Missing prometheus.yml, directory called prometheus.yml in /tmp/cadvisor/. I thought well, if it's getting deleted, change the permissions, and continued my daily affairs.
Today, same exact scenario. So, wtf, over? Run some commands:
stat /tmp/cadvisor/prometheus.yml
sudo lsof /tmp/cadvisor/prometheus.yml
grep "delete" /var/log/syslog
I can see that the file IS being deleted, but I cannot seem to trace down what is deleting it. It's like there is a cron job that fires off every day at a certain time and deletes prometheus.yml, and in it's place, creates a directory called prometheus.yml effectively taking Prometheus offline. I have no such cron job tho.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Ancient wizardry? Any mystical incantations or tomes to consult?

Just fyi, console can be more usable than gui for many disabled people. Text-to-Speech software relies on there being text, and mouses require fine motor movements.
Console experience is better for all kinds of disabilities. Text is the best instrument to convey info we have. For most of the accessibility issues the best thing you can do is to present text on a screen, and expect text as input.

Pâtes, pain... Le cadmium, « cancérogène certain », est partout en France
On en trouve dans les céréales du petit-déjeuner, le pain, les pâtes, les pommes de terre, les légumes à feuilles… Le cadmium est un métal lourd classé cancérogène certain pour l’humain, présent dans les engrais phosphatés utilisés en agriculture conventionnelle. Il s’accumule ensuite dans notre organisme, se fixe sur les os, le foie, les reins… Le cadmium est ainsi associé à des maladies osseuses (ostéoporose), des troubles de la reproduction et divers cancers, notamment celui du pancréas.
Face à ce danger, des médecins libéraux de l’Union régionale des professionnels de santé ont envoyé une lettre au gouvernement le 2 juin, pour alerter sur ce qu’ils estiment être une « bombe sanitaire » : « Une explosion de la contamination des jeunes enfants existe bel et bien, en rapport avec leur alimentation, en particulier les céréales, pains et dérivés et les pommes de terre et apparentés », écrivent-ils dans cette missive.
Exception française
En effet, la population française est particulièrement exposée au cadmium. Selon les données de Santé publique France, l’imprégnation moyenne des Français adultes a quasiment doublé entre 2006 et 2016, passant de 0,29 microgramme par gramme (µg/g) à 0,57 µg/g. Pour les enfants, le taux moyen est de 0,28 µg/g, ce qui est quatre fois plus élevé qu’en Allemagne et quinze fois plus qu’au Danemark.
Cette exception provient du fait que, pour produire ses engrais, la France importe des roches phosphatées du Maroc, particulièrement riches en cadmium. En outre, la concentration maximale en cadmium autorisée dans les engrais français est toujours de 60 mg/kg, alors que l’Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire préconise depuis 2019 de l’abaisser à 20 mg/kg. La Commission européenne est également allée dans ce sens, proposant de baisser le seuil maximal à 20 mg/kg d’ici 2034, mais cette décision n’a jamais été traduite dans le droit français.
Le chocolat noir, même bio, en contient aussi, ainsi que du plomb. Cette délicatesse, en plus est un produit de la colonisation et de l'exploitation des plus pauvres dans les pays du sud !

Après des années de confrontations indirectes, Israël est désormais passé à une guerre ouverte contre l’Iran. Ce qui avait commencé comme une série d’attaques de précision contre des cibles militaires s’avère faire partie d’une stratégie beaucoup plus large visant à affaiblir l’État iranien et à réorganiser durablement l’équilibre des forces dans la région.
Aux premières heures du 13 juin, Israël a entamé une guerre directe avec l’Iran, après des décennies de guerre de l’ombre composée d’assassinats ciblés, de cyberattaques et de confrontations indirectes, de Damas à la mer Rouge.
La règle non écrite était d’escalader sans que la situation ne devienne incontrôlable. Avec une attaque surprise des services de renseignement israéliens et de lourds bombardements, suivis d’une riposte iranienne contre des objectifs militaires et des infrastructures stratégiques en Israël, cette limite a désormais été franchie.
Objectif de cette guerre
La situation s’aggrave rapidement et montre les signes d’un conflit bien plus vaste que la seule prétendue démilitarisation nucléaire. Netanyahou a déclaré ouvertement qu’il visait un changement de régime en Iran.
La probabilité que cela se produise est faible. D’un côté, il existe un grand mécontentement en Iran. De nombreux jeunes rejettent le mode de vie traditionnel strict et le paternalisme clérical. En raison des sanctions économiques imposées par les États-Unis, l’économie va très mal, la pauvreté est omniprésente et un quart des jeunes est au chômage. Le système politique est théocratique et peu transparent. Les Iraniens sont las de la corruption généralisée et de la répression brutale.
D’un autre côté, le gouvernement peut encore compter sur le soutien d’une part importante de la population conservatrice et religieuse, surtout en milieu rural, mais aussi partiellement dans les villes. De plus, les bombardements d’un agresseur étranger tendent à resserrer les rangs.
Un changement de régime est sans doute trop ambitieux, mais un objectif plus réaliste serait la neutralisation de l’Iran en tant que puissance régionale secondaire. L’objectif à long terme des États-Unis au Moyen-Orient est de fragmenter les États en entités plus petites et plus faibles, incapables d’agir de manière autonome, et, dans le meilleur des cas, dirigées par des forces pro-américaines.
Cela s’inscrit dans l’effort du « collectif occidental » pour empêcher l’émergence de pays rebelles ou de blocs de pouvoir alternatifs qui pourraient menacer cinq siècles de domination mondiale. Cette motivation découle de la nature même du capitalisme global et de son instinct de survie par l’impérialisme.
Au sein du bloc anti-hégémonique (incluant la Russie, la Chine et la Corée du Nord), l’Iran, sans armes nucléaires, représente le maillon faible. Au Moyen-Orient, l’objectif est de créer une région où aucun pays ne serait plus grand ni plus puissant qu’Israël, afin que celui-ci puisse garantir sa domination régionale. Pour atteindre cet objectif, Israël est censé faire le sale boulot.
À cette fin, il est armé par les États-Unis et leurs alliés occidentaux avec les armes les plus létales et les plus avancées, et peut également compter sur un soutien militaire et logistique de Washington.
Stratégie
Selon des analystes, Israël applique aujourd’hui en Iran la même stratégie qu’il avait utilisée précédemment au Liban : assassinats ciblés de dirigeants militaires, destruction de systèmes de communication et bombardements de précision sur des cibles préalablement sélectionnées. Cette stratégie s’est en tout cas révélée efficace au Liban.
Par ailleurs, l’État sioniste tente de perturber l’approvisionnement en pétrole du pays. Tel-Aviv a laissé entendre dimanche que lors des récentes attaques en Iran, il avait frappé des dépôts de carburant servant à la fois à l’approvisionnement civil et militaire. L’objectif n’est pour l’instant pas de gêner les exportations de pétrole — principalement à destination de la Chine — mais de perturber l’approvisionnement intérieur de l’Iran.
Après les attaques contre des installations militaires et nucléaires, les frappes contre les infrastructures énergétiques marquent une nouvelle phase, avec le même but : paralyser les infrastructures de défense et affaiblir le gouvernement ainsi que la société.
Un scénario possible serait similaire à ce qui s’est produit en Irak et en Syrie. Dans les deux pays, l’autorité centrale et l’armée ont été fortement affaiblies, et le territoire a été de facto morcelé en zones échappant au contrôle du gouvernement. Dans les deux cas, cela s’est produit à la suite d’une agression militaire extérieure et de la division des groupes de population les uns contre les autres.
Quelque chose de similaire sera également tenté en Iran. Comme en Irak et en Syrie, les Kurdes y représentent une importante minorité.
Rôle des États-Unis
Selon le journaliste d’investigation Ben Norton, l’attaque israélienne contre l’Iran n’est pas une action unilatérale, mais le résultat d’une opération coordonnée entre Israël et les États-Unis, approuvée et dirigée par l’administration Trump.
Alors que les États-Unis participaient publiquement à de soi-disant négociations de paix sur un nouvel accord nucléaire avec l’Iran, Trump aurait secrètement aidé Israël à préparer l’attaque. Il a fourni des armes, notamment 300 missiles Hellfire, a donné accès aux renseignements américains et a personnellement approuvé l’attaque.
Trump avait donné à l’Iran un “ultimatum” de 60 jours pour accepter un accord — le jour 61 est devenu le moment de l’attaque. Trump s’est vanté publiquement de l’attaque, l’a qualifiée de “massacre” et a déclaré que “beaucoup d’autres allaient suivre”.
Des responsables ont affirmé que les États-Unis n’étaient pas impliqués, mais selon Norton, des informations divulguées et des reportages médiatiques montrent que les États-Unis ont fourni un soutien militaire et logistique crucial, et ont même intercepté des missiles iraniens lorsque l’Iran a riposté.
Ils avaient d’ailleurs déjà fait cela lors des précédentes attaques de missiles en provenance d’Iran (en avril et octobre 2024). À ce jour, il n’est pas encore clair si les États-Unis participeront directement aux attaques israéliennes. Il semble qu’au sein de son gouvernement, tout le monde ne soit pas encore sur la même longueur d’onde.
Trump a en tout cas déjà déplacé un porte-avions nucléaire de la mer de Chine méridionale vers la mer d’Arabie, pour renforcer, aux côtés de l’USS Carl Vinson et de plusieurs destroyers, une présence dans la région semblable à celle de l’OTAN. En outre, des dizaines d’avions ravitailleurs ont été envoyés en Europe, prêts pour des opérations au-dessus du Moyen-Orient.
Pourquoi maintenant ?
Washington et Tel-Aviv estiment que le moment est venu d’attaquer l’Iran et de tenter de lui porter un coup fatal. La destruction des systèmes de défense aérienne iraniens par Israël il y a quelques mois, la chute du gouvernement d’Assad et l’installation d’un régime “sous contrôle” là-bas, le quasi-effondrement du Hezbollah au Liban et la dévastation de Gaza — ces facteurs ont fortement fait pencher l’équilibre des forces régionales en faveur d’Israël et de ses alliés occidentaux.
La manière dont ce conflit va évoluer est pour l’instant totalement incertaine. Israël a causé de sérieux dégâts militaires lors de ses premières frappes en Iran, touchant des structures de commandement et retardant possiblement certaines parties du programme nucléaire.
Mais l’euphorie initiale en Israël a rapidement laissé place à la lucidité lorsque l’Iran a frappé en profondeur le territoire israélien avec des missiles. La destruction dans les villes israéliennes a fait voler en éclats l’illusion d’invulnérabilité.
Étant donné le grand nombre de missiles balistiques dont dispose Téhéran (environ 2 000), l’Iran pourrait être en mesure de maintenir de tels bombardements pendant encore trois à quatre semaines.
Reste à savoir si l’Iran s’en tiendra là ou s’il ira plus loin, par exemple en bloquant le détroit d’Ormuz, un passage maritime crucial pour le pétrole. Cela ferait fortement grimper les prix du pétrole et aurait des conséquences considérables pour l’économie mondiale. Si Trump décide, de son côté, de participer directement à l’attaque contre l’Iran, nous entrerons de toute façon dans une nouvelle phase d’escalade aux conséquences incalculables.

#Israël a perdu son #raffinage de #pétrole et est confronté à une crise énergétique. Si la production de la raffinerie de #Haïfa, touchée par des missiles iraniens, ne peut être rapidement rétablie, Israël sera confronté à de graves problèmes de carburant. Le pays est actuellement sans raffineries en activité pendant au moins plusieurs semaines.
