Context:
For over eight months, the Israeli military has imposed a tight siege on the Gaza Strip, severely limiting the flow of life-saving essential food and medical items into the Palestinian territory.

Dr Yasser Abu Ghalee, head of the children's section at the Nasser Hospital, says that most premature babies were in need of immediate attention after birth.
"Most of the premature babies are brought to the incubator section [of the hospitall, and we are trying as much as possible for these children because they are patients in the hospital," he adds.
Speaking about breastfeeding, the paediatric specialist says that while they are encouraged to feed their children naturally, mothers themselves face a variety of health concerns, including malnutrition, which prevents them from feeding their babies.

When Israel and Iran started trading bombs, Brendan O’Neill wrote in The Telegraph that it is “unbelievable” that “people are marching in London in support of the evil Iranian regime”. But it is believable. When Hamas raped, murdered, and kidnapped hundreds of Israelis on October 7, 2023, there were public demonstrations in support immediately afterwards in Britain. Police were either powerless to enforce civil order or chose not to.

I replaced my ISP router with OPNsense months ago, and I don’t regret it at all

OPNsense can also be fairly simple to set up if you go with the basics (like most home routers offer). But the great thing is you can also deep dive into it and setup separated VLANs and masses of tweaks and rules.

What you need to know, though, is that you will need to run it on a separate piece of hardware (just like you’d have bought a router device) and ideally you’d want at least 4 Ethernet ports on it. The minimum is really two ports (a WAN port and a LAN port).

My OPNsense device is a Protectli with 4 ports. One is a WAN port, and I have reserved another for a LAN port, and I have the remaining two ports connected as a LAGG interface to my main switch (so it has dual links for load balancing and redundancy). But again, you don’t to do this either if you want to keep it simple.

What I still want to explore with mine, is using the Haproxy plugin to do my reverse proxying directly on the OPNsense device, instead of in a container on my server. This will mean that some traffic destined for my OpenWebRx device can flow directly from the router through the main switch and to the OpenWebRx device (instead of via the server and then back through the main switch).

OPNsense (and PFsense) does mean total control in your hands, and also ongoing updates and patches for many many years…

Unlike many others who stored food during the January truce, fearing another harsh round of famine, my family and I made the risky decision not to store anything. We had previously done so, but lost everything when Israeli soldiers reached our area with their tanks.

As expected, more details are emerging in other news outlets about the arrest of #ShinyHunters.

One detail I noted is that ShinyHunters is suspected of being responsible for the attacks on #LVMH, which is the high-end brand associated with Tiffany and Dior, who both reported breaches this year. Although there had been some speculation that #ScatteredSpider might be responsible for those breaches, it appears that ShinyHunters was allegedly responsible.

There have been a number of hacks this year where it is not clear -- in the absence of law enforcement confirmation -- whether a #databreach has been by Scattered Spider or ShinyHunters, or whether they have collaborated with one doing the hacking and the other doing the extortion. I predict in weeks/months to come, we will be given a pretty big list of big hacks that ShinyHunters has been involved in this year.

As I reported in my coverage of the PowerSchool hack and prosecution of Matthew Lane, ShinyHunters' name has been linked to that one, too, but was not named as a co-conspirator.

This is where I should write "This is a developing story..." huh?

I want to make the point that Zohran Mamdani talked about affordability while also supporting trans kids and immigrants and refusing to endorse genocide and he won against the heavily favored Democrat despite an avalanche of racist, Islamophobic hatred and zillions in dark money.
