Jeff Bozo, is wealthy because he owns a good portion of Amazon. If he were to "pay his fair share" he would have to give up his ownership and put people out of work, shut down operations, and discontinue many services.

Look at the 1.1% you claim is his tax rate, which is pure bullshit by the way, and figure out how much money that is. Do you pay that on your total wealth?

Today in Labor History June 27, 1880: Helen Keller was born (1880-1968) in Tuscumbia, Alabama. In addition to being an early advocate for disability rights, she was also a radical socialist for women’s suffrage and birth control, the rights of workers and world peace. She supported the NAACP and was a founding member of the ACLU. She also joined the IWW and wrote for them from 1916-1918. In 1933, the Nazi Youth burned her book, “How I Became Socialist.” However, like many people of her era, from both the right and the left, she supported the eugenics movement and once claimed that the lives of infants with severe cognitive impairments were not worth saving. She published 12 books. Her most famous was her autobiography, “The Story of My Life,” (1903).

We like the way Homer presents his arguments, because it avoids some of the rather tired approaches of FOSS advocates. Teenage boys who used Snapchat to plan the stabbing of a 12-year-old girl have been given youth detention sentences of two and three years.

Cardiff Crown Court heard the boys, now aged 13 and 16, used the app to discuss sourcing knives, luring the girl to Barry Island, Vale of Glamorgan, and carrying out the attack.

On 23 November 2024, they took her to the Harbour Road car park, where she was choked, repeatedly stabbed, and kicked in the face, leaving her unconscious.

The defendants, who cannot be named because of their ages, were sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court after admitting wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
