Several universities in Israel were heavily damaged by Iran’s ballistic missile strikes during the 12-day war between Tel Aviv and Tehran, Haaretz newspaper confirmed in a report on 30 June.

The strikes revealed the precision of Iranian missiles, which hit institutes directly associated with the defense and intelligence establishments.

Around 45 labs were destroyed at the Weizmann Institute, and an additional 20 sustained damage.

Was fehlt: die „ehrliche“ Temperatur. Im Wetterbericht gibts Temperatur (im Schatten) und gefühlte Temperatur (wie auch immer berechnet). Städte sollten angeben (müssen) wieviel Grad es z.B auf dem Rathausplatz oder der zentralen ÖPNV-Haltestelle hat. Liegt in der Sonne? Hilft ja nix, man ist ja trotzdem dort. Wenn da dann 58 °C steht, vielleicht nehmen es die Leute dann ernst. Zum Ausgleich dürfen Städte auch gerne angeben, wie „kühl“ es gerade in einem begrünten Bereich ist.

Wenn Dobrindt nicht diesen Monat bereits zurücktritt, ist der Rechtsstaat in Deutschland ausgesetzt. Ein Innenminister, der sich nun schon mehrfach über das Gesetz stellt, der Gerichtsentscheidungen nicht anerkennt, der den internationalen Haftbefehl nicht anerkennt, DARF kein Innenminister in einem Rechtstaat sein, indem die Verfassung über allem steht.

I have been thinking about this for a while now, but I think it's time to actually pull the trigger. We need a database to document commercials/adverts etc.

Requirements:
- Easily record metadata in a standard format
- API available to query
- User contribution capabilities (well moderated)

Ideally I want to use something off the shelf. MediaWiki seems to check the boxes, but looking for something less complex to general users.

Well, that's good. But people who feel shame by their work and success, and having the ability to create a good life are brainwashed. Every single country in the world had the opportunity to do what we did, but all we got were complaints, hate and jealousy. They broadly arent really very techy and absolutely hate the idea of anything new. So nah they broadly hate federation and adopting any new platforms.

Especially given that the fediverse already has a culture of being actively anti racism and hate they wouldnt be able to move here without getting instantly defederated and they know this. I'm sure the leftypol commies are already here.

I think also the fediverse tends to lend itself to brainrot formats of social media: mastodon (Twitter), lemmy (Reddit), pixelfed (Instagram/tiktok), matrix (Discord). The fediverse is just trying to mimic the worst examples of the internet while 4chan is perfectly fine being its 2004 self
