FYI: The app doesn't collect or store user data. (I checked by doing a network traffic analysis of the app.)
No, but Apple has a record of every device it's installed on. Wouldn't take much for the DOJ to give Apple an Administrative Subpoena for a list of everyone that has it installed, along with their IP addresses.
From there they can correlate the activity with people in and around ICE operations and arrest anybody with the app installed on "trumped" up charges like interfering with a police operation or some other bullshit.
Last year I would have said something like that would never happen.

Also, wouldn't a simple IP address of a user at a given time be inadequate to link users to activity? Obviously not foolproof and I would be skeptical of any app like this not open sourced and backed by a trustworthy team. Furthermore, if it calls in to a server in US jurisdiction it would simply be easier to seize access and threaten Amazon et al. to take it down or allow access.

Mastodon is the ONLY Fediverse platform that ... by default ... forces #server #admins to #cache, #copy, and #proxyall #media that passes through its server. This means that not only are server admins paying to host the media their users #upload, but they have to pay to host the media everyone else on the fucking fediverse uploads as well. Other platforms offer this feature, but Mastodon is the only one that has this turned on by default. This results in Mastodon server admins having to shell out thousands of dollars each month in #S3 hosting costs for no reason whatsoever.
There are much better alternative instance platforms than Mastodon.

Some folks also should remember that a lot of brain meds start wearing off at the end of the day. So if it's midnight and you're in a funk or panic, it may also be because your brain isn't getting the juice it needs.
Also, blood sugar is a big thing here, too. Going longer than 4-5 waking hours without food makes your body think you're starving and your glucose will go haywire: bottoming out or spiking. Have a granola bar or a handful of nuts to stabilize and then *sleeeeeep*.
