There's an antisemite trope that states that "the Jews control the world", with many variations, from the "elders of Zion" to Hitler's "judeo-bolchevism". This is obviously false, but the ongoing genocide in #Gaza creates the appearance that Israel, or Netanyahu, controls the US government.
This is NOT the case. Israel depends on the US, Germany or the UK for EVERYTHING. Israel exists because the British Crown wanted it, because they wanted a settler colony in West Asia.
I agree. Israel is a proxy for US hegemony in the Middle East. Through Israel, the US has stifled independence/nationalist governments in all of the Israel neighbouring countries bar one: Iran.

Therefore, the current genocide in #Gaza is not "Netanyahu's genocide", not even "Israel's genocide", it is the USA genocide of Gaza, carried out by their proxy Israel.
Of course I don't mean to deny the importance of the Zionist lobby in the USA, composed both by AIPAC and the Zionist Christians, but in both cases, this groups exist because they were allowed to exist. Even if it seems impossible today, AIPAC could have been branded a "foreign agency" by the government and regulated, but it was left be. This was no accident, it was coherent with the US interests in the 1960's and 70's, when mass aid to Israel started and the entity became a proxy of the USA.
