Ich hatte vorhin eine komplexe Diskussion mit meiner Oberstufen-Klasse. TaxTheRich finden sie nicht fair. Vermögenssteuer und insbesondere Erbschaftsteuer benachteiligen die Leute, die viel dafür getan haben um sich ihr Vermögen aufzubauen (ja, auch Milliardäre sind da mitgemeint).
Hä? Also die Erbschaftssteuer benachteiligt ja PER DEFINITION eben nicht die Leute, die etwas für das Geld getan haben… Oder meinten die in dem Fall mit "benachteiligen" dass die Person sozusagen nicht frei darüber verfügen kann, was mit dem Geld geschieht?
ich habe die Diskussion zum Ende hin dann beendet und ihnen augenzwinkernd mitgegeben, dass sie "näher am Bürgergeld seien als an ihrer ersten Million". Da mussten sie dann lachen 😀
Ach ja, als weiterführende Hausaufgabe für die kommende Wochen müssen sie sich mit 2 Büchern beschäftigen; sie sollen sich eins aussuchen - das erste Kapitel haben sie von mir bekommen, um einen Eindruck zu erhalten:
a) Stiglitz - Der Weg zur Freiheit oder b) Noller - Was ist digitale Aufklärung
(Diese Bücher habe ich hier in der Vergangenheit schon mal kurz vorgestellt.)
Das ist aber auch ein Thema, dass sich viele einfach nciht vorstellen können. Und natürlich wollen die Kinder niemandem etwas wegnehmen, was die Person verdient hat. Die wollen auch nciht, dass man ihnen ihr Taschengeld wegnimmt oder dass sie was von dem Geld abgeben müssen, was sie vielleicht irgendwo verdient haben.
Aber man sollte ihnen klar machen, wie viel eine Milliarde ist und wie man Milliardär wird. Die wenigsten sind das ja durch Arbeit geworden.
Uff ... ich kann solche Diskussionen nicht. Mir platzt dann irgendwann der Kragen und ich breche ab. Egal wie die Diskussion ausging: Danke, dass du das gemacht hast! Und viele Löffel zur Erholung!

Eine Vermögenssteuer heißt ja nicht, dass man dafür sorgt, dass Reiche nicht mehr reich sind, sondern nur dass diese weniger schnell noch reicher werden. Man könnte ja mal analysieren woher Kühne z.B. seine Millarden hat und dann nochmal fragen warum Menschen wie er keine Steuern zahlen sollten auf "ihren" Reichtum.
Ja, so ein Gespräch musste ich neulich auch führen. Allerdings mit einem Menschen, der in Richtung 50 Jahre marschiert. Für ihn scheint es Menschen zu geben, die qua „Leistung“ mehr Rechte als andere Menschen haben sollten und für die auch gesetzliche Regelungen nur begrenzt Geltung haben. Das wird als vollkommen selbstverständlich gesehen. Meine Hinweise darauf, dass das ein Rückfall in feudalistische Haltungen darstellt, wurde nicht als negativ wahrgenommen.
Es ist der Mythos davon das jeder reich werden kann. Aber halt nicht alle. Den Unterschied von jeder und alle, hat noch nicht jeder kapiert, erst recht nicht alle.
Nun, wenn sie sich ihr Geld erst selbst verdienen müssen, werden die meisten erkennen, dass man nur durch absolute Skrupellosigkeit zum Superreichen wird. Dann werden sie sich an diese Diskussion erinnern und bedauern.
Verstehe ich, kann aber auch verstehen warum die das denken, hatte mir das früher auch alles anders vorgestellt. Ist halt auch Abstrakt.
Wen man dann aber mal hinter die Kulissen schaut und was Menschen für Erfolg so wirklich gemacht haben, oft dann auch einfach Glück haben, die richtigen Leute kennen. Dann ist das schon ernüchternd.
Hier eine Textaufgabe für die Klasse: Ein Milliardär verliert die Hälfte seines Vermögens. Der Rest bringt nach wie vor eine Rendite von 5%. Reicht das zum Leben?
Da haben ihnen CDU, FDP, Bild und neoliberale Influencer eingeredet, abartig riesige Vermögen wären "selbst erarbeitet" und gerechtfertigt. Wenn sie dann in 10 Jahren aber feststellen, dass sie keine Millionen auf dem Konto haben, dann wird "links-grün" Schuld daran haben.
vielleicht kommt da der Kern des Übels zum Vorschein. Die menschliche Spezies ist im Innersten noch der Jäger und Sammler. Auch die erste Milliarde könnte noch zu wenig sein. Und vom sauer verdienten Geld soll bloß niemand etwas abbekommen, das könnte später zu Hunger führen.
Das Ergebnis der Gehirnwäsche, wenn Medien in der Hand der Besitzenden und der ÖRR der CDU unterworfen ist, die ja auch nur der politische Arm der Besitzenden ist.
Es kann sich auch kaum noch jemand was unter dem Begriff "Solidarsystem" vorstellen.
Danke, dass Du Deine Beobachtungen teilst! Ideologie hat Erfolg, v.a. weil es ja keine tragfähige, breite Gegenerzählung gibt. Die „Diskussion“ über Verteilungsgerechtigkeit ist ja nur die erste Stufe der Leiter und selbst da kommen die meisten schon nicht mit. Ich sehe echt schwarz für die Zukunft. (Hab das Gefühl, das schreibe ich häufig unter Deine Beiträge.)
