What's more, if by any chance they do something that may remotely fuck with your settings, you can bet your ass that there is going to be a warning that the version may fuck your settings, along with detailed instructions on how to unfuck the settings. 5. Forking being possible. Even if an app goes in a direction some people does not like, there's always the possibility of forking it. This is not only a nice thing, it is the ultimate guarantee to de-incentivize fuck-arounds as much as possible

really curious what Microsoft is thinking. They are preparing to release the cod backlog into gamepass. The games are already there to buy. They have all the same exploit and this is known for years. Not patching it is one thing but not patching and rereleasing is a whole different story

It looks like the same vuln is present in multiple versions of CoD, has never been patched even in supported releases, has no CVE etc. It’s just been ignored while customers get owned.
Since players who cheat get banned, and a common complaint is that accounts were banned for cheating when the user didn't cheat, I'd be interested to see where this goes.

On macOS this is mitigated by the fact that games don't need very many permissions to run, so the worst any attacker is likely to do to a Mac game is mine crypto until you reboot. But most games run on Windows or Linux, neither of which enforces restrictions like macOS does…

a lot of what the dems are crying about regarding these people being dropped is actually illegals receiving welfare benefits, and this is critically important to stop, immediately.
