A plurality of Ukrainians believe that, within ten years, their state will be "a country with a ruined economy and a large outflow of people," according to a new report from the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
The study asked respondents to choose the most likely between two futures: one with a Ukraine in tatters and one with a prosperous nation as part of the European Union. Forty-seven percent chose the more pessimistic option.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, over 6.7 million Ukrainians have left the country since the Russian invasion in February 2022.
