July will see the launch of the groundbreaking Solar EruptioN Integral Field Spectrograph mission, or SNIFS. Delivered to space via a Black Brant IX sounding rocket, SNIFS will explore the energy and dynamics of the chromosphere, one of the most complex regions of the Sun’s atmosphere. The SNIFS mission’s launch window at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico opens on Friday, July 18.

@BlkLdyPatriot @Stefanie @MarcusJ65 @EarlThePearls Catturd isn’t that complicated (which could be a compliment or a sneer). I like his dog pics, his farm pics and to be fair, I think he represents a lot of people, that unlike us here, don’t dig too deep. I’m glad we have QV because I need my own echo chamber to validate the cognitive dissonance banging around my head from most X writers or written rag sheets. I gave up on TV news because it isn’t.

Cognitive collapse and the nuclear codes: When leaders lose control

Many former leaders of the world's nine nuclear-armed nations were impaired by health conditions while in office, raising concerns over their decision-making abilities while they had access to nuclear weapon launch codes, a study from the University of Otago, New Zealand, has found.

The study analyzed the health information of 51 deceased leaders of nuclear-armed countries: China, France, India, Israel, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Eight of the leaders died from chronic disease while still in office, five from heart attacks or strokes. Many of the leaders had multiple serious health issues while in office, including dementia, personality disorders, depression and drug and alcohol abuse.

@Lori This is also all in the journalist's head. His reaction was that the crowd was going to turn on the media presence at the Butler Rally because the crowd immediately blamed the media for the assassination attempt. But we've all seen the video of the assassination attempt, and there's not a single sign that the crowd was about to go all vigilante on the press. So maybe this journalist's PTSD is the result of his own guilty conscience.

Mortgage and auto loan delinquencies are rising fast in the US.

When consumers start skipping car payments, it’s a flashing alarm.

People will skip everything else before they lose their car. That’s how they get to work. If they’re missing payments now, the strain is already severe.

_PBS CEO Pops Up Hours After NPR Boss, Claims There’s Zero Evidence of Bias_

Inversion of the burden of proof: If there were no bias, that would be easy to prove simply by showing a long history—including recent history—of news and opinion they've published from both sides of the political spectrum, with a statistically robust distribution between left and right (e.g, a balanced spread to the left and the right from the mid line.)

Key fact: Were there no bias, the left would not be so supportive of these sources, and the right would not be so opposed. That's NOT a debatable point.

in reply to relentless_eduardo

@relentless_eduardoThe burden of proof is on PBS and NPR to justify their continued receipt of public funds. It's not on the taxpayers to prove they don't have to continue to fund them--or anyone else.

There are MANY views other than communism (extreme socialism,) extreme social conservatism, extreme fiscal conservatism, extreme limited government, extreme free-market propertarianism, extreme Progressivism, extreme wokeinsm, etc. And those can be mixed in non-traditional ways (e.g. rabidly pro-transgender + extreme free-market propertarianism + Hinduism.)

That's one of the very strong arguments against ANY public funding for news and opinion publishing: It's inherently impossible to be neutral, to be "balanced."

🇫🇷The Prime Minister of France has signed his own "political death sentence" by proposing to cancel Victory Day and a number of social benefits, writes Politico.

Bayrou proposed to deprive the French of vacations, freeze their social security, and save billions of dollars on healthcare in order to save the budget.

But most of all, the general outrage, as the publication writes, was caused by Bayrou's call to cancel two of the 11 public holidays in France. He named Easter Monday and Victory in Europe Day on May 8 as two potential candidates for cancellation.

Opposition leader Marine Le Pen has already promised to overthrow Bayrou's government.

Seeya! Trump Ships 5 Illegals With Violent Crime Records To Tiny African Kingdom (Eswatini)

Hey lady believe what you want, but the fact remains that America isn't YOURS to dole out to interlopers as you see fit.

If Miguel had come legally, you would be paying off his costs. It's cheaper for you to pay someone else to do your work if they come with lower overhead.

IF true, only a business guy like Trump could have done this.

"As of July 1, the United States has reaped $106.1 billion dollars in tariff revenue. If the same pace and level of tariffs remain the same, that would translate to around $300 billion added to Treasury annually."

Because he said... Pay now or they go higher... and you want to "sell to my customers" so DO IT

That is if the US actually collected the money.

We invented computers in 1941 and then apparently forgot everything about them.

Someone has now realised that the software that the government uses has bug, leading to 1440 teacher positions not getting filled. Even though the money for them is in the budget.
This bug existed apparently since 2005.

That is crazy. for 20 years no one asked why do we have this much money left over? or what the fuck happened with that
