In my many decades long career I have met many people who are unable and will remain unable to function in society. These people are extremely dangerous. Barely trainable animals.
They come in all colors, sizes and shapes. Not all nightmares are locked away in cells. Many walk free. Some in my neighborhood and some in your neighborhood. You see them nightly in the local news.
Example: I call him the Mojo Man. He tried to burn up eight people at home and succeeded in destroying their home and all their possessions. WHY? Because a juvenile female would not talk to him at three in the morning. He did a couple years and released. He has been arrested and charged with violent crimes three times just this year. He is at the mental hospital every few months, off his meds and on a coroner's PC for 72 hrs. A good dose of Haldol injectable a bottle of Seroquel and Cogentin and off he goes. Booked in to the local jail until OR'ed out.
On meds he is a quiet zombie, off his meds a crazed murderous maniac.
He has no soul. Just a walking crazed corpse that don't know it is dead yet. This is the best he can expect, forever.
They are always classed as mentally ill and so never do significant time in prison. Released to maime, rape, and slay. Wash, rinse, repeat.
There is nothing humane about allowing them to walk free. There might be a time to consider euthanasia, however, I would not want that decision to make.
Once...
Prison was a break for society from the criminal. Prison was a punishment for the guilty.
Now...
Prison is a bus stop to the next victim. Three meals a day, satellite TV, gyms, free healthcare, breakfast in bed and laundry service.
The neighbors suck though. 🙄

Saving time, saving column space.
Today I made a major improvement over at Roscoe's Story, my brother blog to this one. An improvement that will save me time and will make it easier for visitors to read.
I fill my days with maybe more prayers and devotions than many other old boys. Being mostly home bound with my arthritis, there's not a whole lot more I can do that is both constructive and edifying.
I have a daughter and a sister back home in Indiana, both of whom are curious about what I'm doing down here in Texas. How I'm taking care of myself. How I spend my time, etc. And I'm NOT a telephone person. Never have been. Ask anybody.
So to keep them informed, years ago I started my Roscoe's Story blog, listing and posting every day how I spend my time, etc.
Anyway, rather than list each individual prayer and the specific time I pray it every day, I now have a summary page that explains my prayer regimen. Linking to that summary every day will save me lots of time, and it will make for a much less cluttered blog page than has previously been the case.

Alors que de l’autre côté peut s’articuler une véritable politique de recouvrement de l’indépendance nationale face aux politiques capitalistes, impérialistes, belliqueuses et mondialisées de l’UE-OTAN (autrement dit d’assumer de sortir de ces carcans par un frexit inévitablement progressiste et patriotique), [...] une défense que n’importe quel révolutionnaire devrait prendre au sérieux au cas où quelques impérialistes étrangers chercheraient à rétablir l’ordre… Tout cela sans jamais menacer autrement que de potentiels agresseurs, assurant préventivement ces derniers de la volonté des Français recouvrant leur histoire qu’ils feront tout pour empêcher une nouvelle « parenthèse » contre-révolutionnaire, mais sans jamais plus inquiéter les peuples du monde de quelques oppressions que ce soit qui entacherait une nouvelle fois le peuple de France.Pour ce faire, la revendication portée par ce texte, celle d’une « armée nouvelle » dont la colonne vertébrale et la force seraient assurées par une « conscription nouvelle », prend, nous le pensons, tout son sens tant elle rentre en contradiction avec notre soumission/participation à l’Union européenne capitaliste et supranationale ainsi qu’à l’OTAN.

Car la question du Frexit est bien ici posée en arrière-plan. Ou bien la France se vautre dans cette « Défense européenne » au service de l’OTAN qui cherche déjà, avant même d’exister, à faire la guerre à la Fédération de Russie en y envoyant mourir nos fils et nos filles, ou bien elle rompt définitivement avec l’UE et avec l’OTAN, donc avec leur logique intrinsèquement impérialiste, et réorganise sa défense nationale en conséquence, dans un élan populaire, patriotique et démocratique retrouvé.
