I think the real precedent isn’t the Nazis but Stalin’s brutal ethnic deportations after WW2, which killed at least hundreds of thousands, in some cases the majority of the deported group.
Stalin did. Forced population transfers were a favored tactic. Ukraine hasn't forgotten about the forced transfer of the Crimean Tatars. Pre-WWII, many thousands of Jews were deported to Siberia from e.g. Lithuania and Belarus. Post-WWII there were different forced transfers in different directions. It goes without saying that this killed people, a lot of people.
You underestimate the “can do spirit” of Americans, perhaps. Efficient disposal solutions will likely become quickly necessary just to cover up the nuisance and bother. I doubt many supporters of the regime have serious qualms about this. It will be cheap, politically.

This was logistically a huge task and stretched the system and it only worked because it didn't matter how the people were treated or if they died during transport or in the camps from disease and starvation (I don't mean extermination camps here).
It was Timothy Snyder's book "Black Earth" that opened my eyes to the reality that deporting people at scale is impossible, that keeping people alive in captivity is difficult and expensive, and that it was incompetence in addition to evil which caused the Nazi concentration camps to become death camps. Im trying to reinstall cachyos using the iso on the usb like ive done in the past but the iso and the ventoy usb its on dont show up as options, theres only cachyos (alresdy installed) and snapshots as the options
I guess it doesnt detect a nonventoy (used impression) usb with the iso written to it either? A bit confused I dont mind limine but It not being able to boot from a recovery usb is a bit of an issue
NVM it did end up working off impressions and not ventoy? I think it ended up detecting my ssd which also has ventoy installed in the boot manager too, the name wasnt there before, odd
Like limine itself has no option for it, but bios wasnt showing one for my ssd or usb either, now it is after restarting a few times
To boot from external drives, you need to open your UEFI boot menu (press F11 or something like that at boot, it differs for each manufacturer). Limine is the loader installed on your hard drive that comes with your OS, it is for loading that OS.
