Well, that was an interesting phone scam attempt.
Claimed to be from Telstra, dangled a 40% discount but very specifically didn't tell me what services I was using, if any. Read out a valid GMail address that I do still use for some services, and which has been involved in a few data leaks in the past.
Then told me to check my phone for a login code "from Telstra".
MFA code arrived *from Google*.
That seems suspiciously like someone trying to log in to or reset the password on my GMail account.
I was playing along just out of boredom, but I could see that catching someone out for sure.
Here's a tip:
ALWAYS HAVE MFA
but
NEVER READ OUT AN MFA CODE OVER THE PHONE.
Also: have a password manager, and have unique passwords for everything. And never trust phone calls.

Blue primarily reflects blue light while absorbing the rest of the colors. It might provide some small protection against a blue laser, but is effectively black from the perspective of a red (or infrared) laser. They should paint their roof white, and not just white in visible light but also in UV and IR.
Not that painting your roof would protect the trees nearby which will catch fire and then spread to your house.
