Lunch with family was perfect.
I had forgotten that Shirley Temples are very sweet drinks, but it is fun to do something different. The food was thoroughly enjoyed and they claimed all of the leftovers.

When he perked up I asked if he wanted to go with me to water the garden and check out the potato plants that had completely dried up on top.
The potato harvest was a huge hit. I've not seen this level of excitement in a long while.
You would think he won the lotto. Summer and I managed to help him get down and up so he could get his hands in the dirt. You would think he was digging up diamonds.

Alors peut-être est-ce un problème perso, mais suis-je le seul à trouver INSUPPORTABLES les sous-titres qui apparaissent mot-à-mot sous les vidéos ?
Exemple : bsky.app/profile/panettonepazz… (je ne parle pas du fond de la vidéo mais bien de la technique d'affichage des sous-titres).
C'est encore pire pour moi lorsqu'un seul mot apparait à la fois et disparaît pour être remplacé par un autre.
Cela me ruine totalement la transmission du message, je ne sais pas pourquoi...

It's definitely impressive, and doing that today without measuring tools would be hard, but not impossible. There are techniques to establish flat and square surfaces without having any to start with. I think the most likely explanation is there was an isolated guild of master machinists who did have lathe and lapping technologies, and they made things like vases for kings. But they kept their techniques strictly secret, which is why there's nothing written about it, and later on they died out and the king could only ask his henchmen to try to reproduce the artifacts in clay.

I think there is a lot of evidence for there being advanced stone mason civilizations around 13,000 years ago at the end of the Younger Dryas. There may have been advanced meta age civilizations prior, but I think most evidence of that went with the cataclysm.

Egypt is super weird. People like to discredit the people who claim there's massive structures under Giza, but that group has done the same imaging on several modern underground structures, so the technology is likely sound.

My schizo-theory: the reason world leaders want to cool the earth and have made up all this climate change bullshit is that the technology in the Pyramids and other ancient structures depends on the Earth being much colder to work.
