«Il n'y a qu'une seule explication à la signature si rapide par #Zelensky de la loi qui éviscère les agences anti-corruption et consolide leurs pouvoirs sous la direction du procureur général d'Ukraine, qui fait également partie du cercle proche de Zelensky.

Des rumeurs, notamment l'article de Seymour Hersh, circulent selon lesquelles Zelensky serait sur le point d'être destitué, d'une manière ou d'une autre. Ainsi, Zelensky reste au pouvoir indéfiniment, ou jusqu'à son éviction par d'autres moyens, tandis que les eurocrates continuent d'injecter l'argent des contribuables dans le gouffre ukrainien, tout en se remplissant les poches. Une situation gagnant-gagnant pour tous, sauf pour les Ukrainiens et les citoyens européens ordinaires.

Les médias occidentaux, pourtant en guerre contre Zelensky, poursuivent leur campagne. La situation pourrait vite devenir incontrôlable ».

Selon Oleg #Tsarov, les agences dites anti corruption d’Ukraine ont été créées par des activistes de Soros, impliqués dans le coup d’état du Maïdan.
Oleg Tsarov était alors député de la Rada et c’est un témoin précieux de cette époque.

En 2013, un «Maïdan étudiant» à Kiev a été dispersé avec violence, ce qui a fait descendre dans la rue de nombreuses personnes, marquant le début du Maïdan de masse.

Cependant, lorsque Oleg Tsarov et ses amis ont commencé à étudier attentivement les photos et vidéos de cette dispersion, les procès-verbaux des arrestations, les admissions à l'hôpital, il leur est apparu que la grande majorité des manifestants étaient des membres d'organisations non gouvernementales. Il n'y avait aucun étudiant, et encore moins d'écoliers, parmi les personnes arrêtées ou blessées.

«Plus tard, écrit Tsarov, ces activistes ont été appelés les «sorosyata» (les petits soros). Ce sont eux qui ont constitué l'ossature du Maïdan. Ensuite, ils ont appelé à la constitution de l'ATO, se sont opposés à la mise en œuvre des accords de Minsk et ont soutenu la poursuite du conflit avec le Donbass — tant que «tous les territoires de l'Ukraine ne seront pas libérés».

Et maintenant, Zelensky a commencé à retirer aux «sorosyata» le contrôle du domaine anticorruption. C'est comme arracher une dent venimeuse à un serpent — après cela, on peut faire ce qu'on veut avec lui. Et les «sorosyata» le comprennent. C'est pourquoi ils descendent maintenant dans les rues de Kiev et d'autres grandes villes pour organiser des manifestations.
Ils comprennent que l'étape suivante après la destruction des organes anticorruption ukrainiens sera l'élimination progressive des «sorosyata» eux-mêmes. Étant donné tout ce qu'ils ont fait, il n'y aura pas de problème à trouver des raisons.

Les manifestations aideront peu. Trump ne viendra pas à leur secours — car ils sont étrangers pour lui. Ils agissaient au nom de Soros. Ils ont aidé à initier des procédures de destitution contre Trump.
Zelensky n'est pas Yanoukovitch. Ces manifestations seront dispersées. Et ensuite, on s'attaquera aux «sorosyata».
Et je vois là une certaine justice universelle. Ceux qui étaient à l'origine du Maïdan souffriront eux-mêmes de ses conséquences.
Kolomoïsky est déjà en prison. Le tour des «sorosyata» viendra aussi».

Zelensky a donc supprimé les deux agences anti corruption d’Ukraine.
La loi limitant les droits du NABU et du SAP a été publiée sur le site officiel du journal du parlement «Golos Ukrainy». Rapidement, comme jamais.
Cela signifie qu'elle entre en vigueur à partir du 23 juillet.

Désormais, Zelensky pourra agir sans restrictions majeures, et les sorosistes qui ont créé ces agences s'attendent à des temps difficiles.

Pas un mot de Macron ou de Barrot qui est fièrement en route vers Kiev.
Pas un mot d'Ursula Von Der Leyen ou de Kaja Kallas, les principales têtes de pont (p=c) de l’UE restent complètement silencieuses sur cette mesure.
Les ardentes fans russophobes de l’Ukraine doivent réfléchir car cette mesure anti anti-corruption devrait entraver l’adhésion de l’Ukraine à l’UE. Comment vont-elles pouvoir l’imputer à Poutine?

If I could ask powerful world leaders a question and get an honest answer the question that interests me the most is "How do you see the future of your country? Who is a part of it? How are they a part of it?"

In the US Republicans are peddling a vision of a white, English-speaking, Christian America. A nation with very few or no non-citizen residents.

America is currently a largely white, overwhelmingly Christian nation with a significant population of non-citizen residents.

11 million people out of 326 million people, who live in the US, aren't citizens and will never be citizens (unless we change something.)

They are here because US companies can pay them lower wages. A non-citizen is less likely to complain. Not because "Americans won't do those jobs."

I hate when people say that. These people are essentially Americans. How can we make *that* argument while also saying they are somehow mysteriously able to do exhausting, work for low wages?

From most Democrats the "vision of the future" is murky, but amounts to "just leave things as they are" far too often.

I think we should be a diverse nation, as we have always been. A nation that both assimilates and is changed by the people who live here.

I don't think we should have a significant portion of the population who lives here indefinitely but will never really be a part of America.

It's OK to visit, but if you live here we need your help with running the government.

The Republican project to eliminate undocumented Americans is either a fake out: that is, we will look around in 10 years and there will still be millions of undocumented people working in the shadows with no path to citizenship.

OR it's the same kind of eliminationism that leads to some of the worse crimes in history.

I want to hear someone say NO. There should be a path to citizenship. Requirements should be reasonable. Become a part of America if you want to stay.

I think a lot of people would agree with "Become a part of America if you want to stay."

A friend of mine works in roofing. He's been doing the job for 20 years which is amazing because it's a very dangerous job. From time to time I've had to talk him down from supporting Republicans because he sees directly how his wages are lower, his job is less safe because most of the other people doing the same job are here illegally.

It's easy to blame immigrants for "not following the law"

Blaming immigrants for "not following the law" is also BS because the US laws have been contradictory. They way the laws are enforced ranges from random to incomprehensible.

This is obviously because there are business owners who want to hire people for lower wages, but don't care about them beyond that. We can all see this happening.

There have even been attempts to make government programs to codify this arrangement.

Things like "guest worker" programs that let people work in the US in agriculture for two years but then they need to return to their home country for a time before they can return to do two more years. Basically an exception just so farm owners can get their field workers without those workers ever becoming a part of the country.

Just keeping a thumb on people pressing them down.

When I was a kid, my dad complained up and down about other farmers and other roofing contractors (he was both) and their immigrant workforces. He complained both about the immigrants and the people who hired them. He also loved to complain about OSHA.

Then he would make his own kids work for him, pay us a pittance, and put us in horrifically dangerous working conditions. He loved the farm loopholes in employment law that let you make slaves out of your kids.

Thing is, The Netherlands is the same. Temporary workers from out of the EU-region, allowed to work their shifts on the fields, which have highest amounts of pesticides and poison.
Out when season is finished. In some industry a fence runs through the complex. The temps and the fewer fixed contracts can not have contact with each other. And talk about ¨things¨.
Germany, max. 2 hr drive from anywhere in NL has laws for that. Fix and temp have same wages and protection.

Big Oil famously coined the idea of the ‘carbon footprint’ so that we'd be too busy blaming each other to take collective action against them. I'm starting to suspect that Big Tech has manipulated us into the same trick. Every time somebody switches to a recommended non-Big Tech alternative, someone will immediately tell them why the recommended alternative is evil too now, actually. Or if we moan about a new enshittified experience, it's our own fault for using the wrong non-Big Tech solution.

Als völkerrechtlich anerkannt gelten die Grenzen von 1967 - völlig inakzetabel für die israelische Rechte bis in den Mainstream hinein.

Ein Palestina innerhalb der Grenzen von 1967 wäre hingegen die Grundlage, auf deren Akzeptanz eine Zweistaatenlösung verhandelt werden könnte - so der Internationale Gerichtshof.
Weitere Gebiete - etwa der Status Jerusalems insgesamt ist dann auch noch immer nicht völkerrechtlich endgültig geklärt.

Huh.. made an interesting discovery. Old YouTube streams (1-2 years old) that previously had a vp9 encoding (something I KNOW for certain, since I have downloads of those streams) now only have h264 encodings (verified with yt-dlp but also in browser). I guess they're trying to save disk space. Very interesting though.

My guess (how I'd do things), they probably have some cleaup utility, where if a video wasn't played for long enough, it will delete all encodings except what is needed for maximum compatibility.

Not the first time I tried to (re)download an old stream, but this is the first time I noticed codecs missing from YouTube's repertoire. Must be a cost cutting measure.

I've noticed something similar with my lecture livestreams. I always waited for a day or two and then downloaded them, but at some point during the last two years or so they stopped getting vp9 reencodes for higher resolutions. It seems youtube figured that it's cheaper to serve the large files to the few dozen viewers than it is to spend extra compute reencoding and storing extra versions

@matrix I don't even blame tbh. I've ranted a few times about how stupidly wasteful they are with their reencodes, keeping around old options that barely anyone (if not outright no one) uses anymore. They should be cleaning house. But they probably still went for the wrong option.

Can't imagine them having any significant amount of users whose devices can't play vp9. I really think they should ax h264 instead. Keep it only for livestreaming, since it works better for fast encoding/low latency, but switch to vp9 for long term offering.

He cogido un clásico de Casio, el F-91W y le he cambiado las tripas por un Sensor Watch Pro + acelerómetro + pantalla propia con más caracteres que la original de Casio.

Le he cambiado hasta la correa de resina por una de nylon mucho más cómoda... vamos, que del Casio queda el trozo de plástico de la caja y los botones.

EMHO no lo convierte en un smartwatch a pesar de ir equipado con un ARM Cortex M0+ a 32MHz por la falta de conectividad inalámbrica que le permita compartir datos con un dispositivo como un móvil, para actualizar el firmware hay que abrir la caja, sacar la placa y conectarla con un Micro USB.

Lo interesante es que el firmware es opensource y te puedes hacer el tuyo propio o extender sus funcionalidades haciendo apps con el framekwork que el desarrollador proporciona.

La placa trae cosas muy interesantes, incluye un sensor térmico que permite al firmware regular el reloj en función de la temperatura a la que se encuentra la placa. En la web dicen que puede ajustarse para tener un margen de error de +/-1 segundo al año, lo cual lo situaría en la categoría de los HAQ (High Accuracy Quartz) donde reina el Longines Conquest VHP con +/-5 segundos al año.

También trae un sensor infrarrojo para detectar el nivel de luz exterior.

Y el led es RGB, permite configurar cada uno de los tres colores en un rango de 0 a 15 para crear todo tipo de colores, eso sí, tiene el mismo problema de los Casio, no ilumina nada, incluso con el led en verde puro no se ve nada bien.

Por defecto trae cosas como la fase de la luna, la hora de puesta y salida de sol (después de configurarle tus coordenadas de latitud y longitud), alarma, cuenta atrás, cronómetro...

Todo esto tiene un coste energético, una pila que con el movimiento original de Casio puede durar 7 años, con este llegará como mucho a 2 años de vida.

En breve intentaré portar el juego del Mastermind y una calculadora de fase lunar para una fecha dada que hice en el instituto en mi vieja calculadora Casio FX-1500P.
